We are Jim and Jane Campbell and we have two grown sons. The cabin is located on our farm which is a working farm with Angus cattle. We enjoy being hospitable and will make your stay as relaxing as possible.
Jim and Jane Campbell purchased this cabin in 2011
We decided to build a log cabin on our property because our view is so wonderful and we wanted to be able to share it.
We are 1/2 mile off Rt. 460 and close to many restuarants, places to shop, the Peaks of Otter, and Smith Mountain Lake. We have a pond very close to the cabin and there are many places to hike and bike.
We love it here on the farm, because the views off the front porch and the many wildlife you see, put us in awe of our Lord Jesus Christ the creator of it all!
I had a wonderful time at the cabin! The set up is great with everything in an open space. The kitchen is very clean and has new appliances. The bed was comfortable which faced the television and fake fireplace (that did give off heat) so you can watch movies in bed. Even the chairs infront of the television reclined, which was a nice surprise. The hot tub was wonderful, especially during the winter time! They had robes, towels and other amenities set for us. We really felt comfortable and relaxed in this beautiful cabin! Would definitely go back again! Highly recommend this place!
Great little getaway cabin!! It was very clean, charming, and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is well equipped, the bed was comfy. It's quiet, peaceful and relaxing, nothing but you and nature. If you're looking to get away from all the day to day stress, I highly recommend Lazy Creek Cabin. You will be stress free from the moment you walk through the cabin door. Thank you Jim and Jane for providing such an awesome getaway.
The cabin is super clean and super well equipped. The bedroom/sitting area is one space and the full kitchen is off to the right. Jim and Jane have thought of everything and the space is warm and welcoming (though a bit dark for my preferences). The bed is comfy and the bathroom is modern and nice. Linens are wonderful, and robes are provided! The deck offers a view of the Blue Mountain peaks, which we enjoyed everyday. Hot tub and fire pit a nice addition. We will return.
This was a great cabin. It had everything that we could possibly need. Updated appliances and clean. The area was very quiet and secluded and the views of the Peaks of Otter were outstanding. We always took time to sit on the porch in the afternoon after our travels to just relax and enjoy the moment. We were even lucky enough to have a large deer walk within a few yards of the cabin directly in front of us and graze in the grass and the area has plenty of rabbits hopping around. If you like nature, you will love this cabin. Thanks to Jim and Jane for sharing a part of their homestead with us to enjoy. We highly recommend this cabin!

What a blessing to find this little piece of heaven on earth to celebrate our 4th Wedding Anniversary. The cabin and its surroundings are beautiful. We loved the rustic, yet modern look. So many things to see and do in close proximity. On our first day we walked up the hill for a short hike. We then walked to the entrance where we enjoyed watching cattle and deer grazing. We were able to relax on the front porch while enjoying the peace, quiet and solitude with occasional birds singing and chirping. The Jacuzzi is a great amenity which we used daily to relax.
On our second day we stretched out and drove to the trail head for McAfee Knob. This was not a difficult hike, but can take about 2 hours to hike up the roughly 4 miles at a moderate pace. The view is spectacular and well worth the time.
Our third day we celebrated around the cabin (porch, rocking chairs, Jacuzzi, and taking photos). We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Old Liberty Station, which is nearby.
Such an amazing cabin you have. A true blessing, thanks Jim and Jane for sharing with us. As VRBO owners ourselves, we appreciated all the extra amenities.

This is a wonderful place to stay. We've rented many vacation cabins through the years and Lazy Creek is at the top of the list with easy access, wildlife, views and comfort. We plan to stay again soon.
