About this property

Private Island with Lakefront Cabin on three sides

The cabin is on a private island complete with 18 acres of old growth forest on Juggler Lake, Minnesota…3 hours and 50 minutes from Minneapolis and 1 hour and 30 minutes from Fargo. Ideal for a long romantic weekend or a family vacation the kids will never forget. The cabin is an A-frame with 20 Ft. ceilings in the main room, three bedrooms, six beds (one king, three doubles, and 2 singles) and two bathrooms. The cabin includes a jetted tub in the master bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen with two refrigerators and two freezers, a Webber grill, a stone fireplace, and three patios facing North, West, and South. The cabin comes equipped with smart TV, Wi-Fi, and a diving dock.

The lake is exceptionally clean and is perfect for swimming, boating, and water sports. The lake has excellent fishing especially in the spring and fall. You can catch fish right off the docks, but for bigger fish you will want to take the boat out. You can expect to catch Sun Fish, Perch, Walleye, Northern, and Bass.

The forest is full of wildlife and great for hiking. The island is 18 totally private acres of old growth forest, undeveloped and wild- explore the woods!! This is the only home on the island!! There are maples, birch, elm, white pines, and more types of trees. You can find morels in early May. There are wild strawberries, wild ginger, and lady slippers in summer. There is stunning foliage in fall. There are porcupines, deer, beavers, eagles, cranes, loons, hummingbirds, owls, birds, and squirrels on the island.

The island is forty minutes from Itasca State Park where you can rent bikes and visit the headwaters of the Mississippi!!

We provide propane for the propane grill, split firewood for the fireplace & we welcome you to pull from the woods for the fire pit, as we have done for you.

Filtered water for your general cooking & plumbing is drawn from our clear lake. We also have a water cooler available for you & will include several 5 gal. bottles for your use.

We provide adult sized life vests, but expect our guests to arrive with age/size appropriate vests for children.

Need a boat? We can rent you our pontoon for $300 a stay plus $100 for a 25 gallon tank of gas and we will meet you at the dock with the pontoon to give you tips on operation or you can bring your own boats to fish or ski. There are two kayaks for your use.

You have the entire island to yourself to hike, play, fish, pick wild strawberries, or just relax in total seclusion!!

Nice get-away
We enjoyed the location and the unique cabin. However, the owner needs to replace mattresses and sofa. Both items were very uncomfortable. Also, for the price we paid, we should not have be responsible for hauling our garbage home with us.

Absolutely beautiful island
This was exactly what I was looking for a true get away from it all. The island is beautiful, the whole property is very well kept and the cabin was just perfect! We visited in September, the lake was very quiet and the fishing was good, even caught some great fish off the dock. My kids enjoyed exploring the woods. Everyone was very helpful and amazing to work with. We will definitely be coming back!!!

Gracious
We had a little bit of a problem checking in. Apparently the people before us left the place a mess. When the owner found out she was very gracious and gave us another half day to make up for it. The lake is beautiful and it is a deal being able to get the pontoon boat. There was hardly anyone on the lake and we felt safe. It was very peaceful. Overall a very nice stay.

Secluded cabin with great fishing
We enjoyed our stay at the island, but had a little trouble lining up all the logistics and directions associated with bringing our own boat. We appreciated having Mary arrange for someone to meet us at the cabin, who was very kind and showed us how to navigate between the public launch where we left our trailer and the mainland parking. Once we got settled our stay was full of great fishing. The island shoreline and the drop offs were perfect for trolling for pike. We also caught many large bluegill and crappie. There were times when we were the only boat on the lake. We also enjoyed tubing and swimming off the platform. Everyone was very responsive and provided timely guidance when it was needed. As a small suggestion, it may be helpful to attach some pictures of the dock and the map of the island including the locations of the docks, parking, and public access for those who bring their own boats.
