Welcome to the Côte d'Azur!!
I bought this property because I love Nice. It is the heart of the France Riviera (Cote d'Azur), next to Montecarlo, Cannes, St. Tropez, Italy.
Is about 10 minutes walk from everything Nice can offer.
The Brimble family from Canada recently stayed for one week during our first European adventure that began in Italy and ended in Spain. When we arrived, we were very happy with our choice of apartments as it is located in the heart of Nice (in the Golden Quarter) with everything within walking distance. Our host Martina always provided rapid responses to any questions and a detailed binder also provided great information during our stay. The apartment is located on the main floor making it very accessible and opens onto a beautiful sunny courtyard where we enjoyed coffee in the mornings and wine in the evenings. Our teenagers loved the upstairs second bedroom that was also fully air conditioned and included a bunkbed, a desk and a cozy chair to hang out in. The spacious air conditioned main floor included a well-equipped kitchen where we enjoyed preparing many meals. The bathroom had a very large vanity, but the shower would be considered small for North American standards (very normal size for Nice). The air conditioned master bedroom included a large bed, nice lighting options and ample storage. This was one of the easiest cities for us to become a “local” as the nearby shops and restaurants provided choices to please any palate. We explored the wide range of restaurants, and especially enjoyed the seafood choices such as the local mussels that we still crave. The apartment includes beach mats and umbrellas that we used to experience the nearby rocky beaches of Nice after our many adventures throughout the city. We spent a romantic anniversary evening dining in the charming nearby Old Town. Our days were spent wandering through this beautiful city, enjoying the many markets and shopping districts, exploring the history and museums, as well as experiencing the breathtaking overlook at Parc de la Colline du Château. Our French was not great, but the locals were very good at translating and always made us feel very welcome. Watching the soft pink sunset dance on the ocean, we understood why so many master painters throughout history were drawn to Nice. Our hearts will be drawn back to this beautiful city that we will suggest to everybody. This apartment is a great location for a romantic getaway for couples, families travelling with young children or teenagers as well as for people with disabilities.
Best location, close to all. Clean apartment. Martina is very helpful.
The location is excellent, quiet and safe. However, we did have a few issues with the apartment. The terrace is not private as shown in the photo. It is part of a larger terrace that is shared with a neighbor. (Who is very nice and helpful. ) The white furniture in the living room is shabby, but OK. The kitchen is small, but nice. We did have to ask for a new coffee pot as the Italian pot was unusable. The remote for the skylight in the downstairs bedroom is missing and needs be replaced according to the owner. The beds are comfortable, but linens are minimal. The shower is extremely small and there's mold on the ceiling. It is not listed in the information, but a security deposit of 500 E was required when you checked in. Martina was helpful, but we had difficulty communicating. Overall, we enjoyed the location, but the apartment could use some updating.
My name is Arshi and I live in New York City. I traveled to Nice for a month (November-December) to study French. This apartment was one of the highlights of my trip.
The apartment is located at the most convenient location and shares 10-15 min proximity on foot with old town (main restaurants and pubs), Jean Medicine (main avenue), Place Masseena (main square), Chateaux hill (one of the attractions) and is also 2 minutes away from the beach. It is big enough to accommodate 4 people and has enough facilities to accommodate additional one person. The apartment shares the courtyard with a friendly neighbor, who has been very helpful and kind to me. All the facilities are provided such as working gas stove, oven, microwave, cookware, cutlery, washing machine, vacuum cleaner, ironing board with iron, heating and AC (I think I got it all). I travel a lot and have experienced a luxury as well as a budget stay. This apartment is definitely close to luxury stay (except you have to undertake your own cleaning operation :)) . It is on the street flooded with restaurants and is very close to three different supermarkets.
Martina was very kind and was available to talk to me anytime of the day if and when I needed her help. She was quite a support and stayed in touch with me just as much during the stay as she did before my travel. The Company Ashley& parker that manages the property is also very helpful. Staff is very professional and helps with whatever you need.
I have no doubt when I travel next, I will rent the same house. And one should without hesitation rent this apartment.
