About Agapi V.

I am a self-employed woman, living in Athens Greece. I decided to build a summer home for myself on Paros Island. I have enjoyed it thoroughly the last 3 years since I had it built but I cannot spend much time there now and decided to let it out for rent. It was built for me and my tastes which are clean and simple and I enjoy my time there. I might be able to get away and stay there a short time this year but I am hoping it will be enjoyed by others the rest of the time. I love to go to a quiet beach called Molos where there are no amenities, to walk and swim and enjoy nature. It is just a stretch of beach between two hills that form peninsulas into the Aegean sea. I love to go to Piso Livadi for dinner, coffee or a drink with friends that come and stay with me. There is a beach in the other direction from my house that is popular where one can rent a kayak or a windsurfer. There are a couple of great restaurants on the beach there that are fun to go and watch the surfing and the beach scene. There is kite surfing on the other side of the island, about a ½ hour's drive where a 10 minute ferry takes one to a smaller but popular destination for a couple of well known Hollywood celebrities that have a getaway there but are rarely seen. If you like the pictures of my home, love the sea and enjoy spectacular vistas and visiting Aegean islands, you will love this location. If you have any more questions you know how to reach me! :)

Why Agapi V. chose Greece

This is a home I built for myself. It has two bedrooms with their own bathrooms that are at opposite ends of the house for maximum privacy. In between are the public spaces, Entry, powder room, living, dining and kitchen. On the one side of these spaces is a large covered veranda that looks out to the view of Naxos island, a large mountainous place that one can go check out for a day or more. I love to set my dinner table on the veranda and have my family or my friends eat with me while we watch the view as the sun sets behind my house!

What makes this villa unique

I travelled around Greece finally locating this property to build a home. I was fortunate in that the land became available because a previous buyer could not make his finances work for him so I built my home where I thought was ideal for me. It's out of the way so its very quiet but its just a mile from a seaside town called Piso Livadi where its fun to spend evenings. There are small villages all along the perimeter road that skirts Paros and side roads leading down to the beach or up the mountains, each with its unique tavernas cafe's and bars. So I can choose to go where its noisy or busy but I can always get back to my quiet cozy home to get away!.

The home is on its own enclosed gated property with spacious yards surrounding it. Though the property is on flat land, it's situated on a mildly sloped plain that falls from the mountains behind it to the sea to the east before it. This provides a beautiful view of the island and the island of Naxos which is across the strait of Aegean sea that separates the two. If you have small children, there is plenty of room to play and no pool to worry about. Leaving the property to the north one can reach Piso Livadi, a town with a marina, restaurants evening attractions and a few beaches either side of the town. Leaving the home in the other direction takes one to the "Gold Coast" a long stretch of sandy popular beaches where one can do the beach thing, rent kayaks, paddlewheel, water ski, windsurf etc. There are a couple of fun restaurants there as well to take care of your hunger. The best thing about the property is a feeling of serenity, as it really feels like an escape. If you want commotion, noise etc, they are close by. This paved road connects on both sides to the main and very scenic island perimeter road, which takes you to the main towns of Parikia and Naousa if you go north or to the airport if you go south. Several scenic towns and beaches dot the coast, accessible by roads that branch away. On the opposite, west side of the island, is a smaller wedge shaped island Antiparos. The shallow strait between the two is a favorite kite surfing location with around 3 kitesurfing schools that rent and sell equipment. A ten minute ferry ride gets you across to a village that is worth a visit -wheels not necessary. The north of the island is particularly gifted and worth checking out!
