About Sean Yule

My husband and I visited Apalachicola in June of 2013 and stayed at the loft; we have been searching for the quintessential Southern town – unspoiled by high-rise condos and chains – we found it in Apalach. We loved Apalach and the loft so much, we leapt at the chance to become the new owners and plan to continue to share the loft with visitors when we are not there.

The former owner is an artist and business woman who expertly renovated the space into the lovely loft you see pictured on the web site. With its exposed brick inside, expansive Cypress woodwork and airy high ceilings, the loft is a welcoming haven for visitors. It has the charm of downtown Apalach right outside its door, but also has privacy with an entry through a charming gated courtyard. Many restaurants and shops in the community have been featured in Southern Living, Coastal Living, and Wine Spectator. But what really sold us is the charm of the local residents. Nice people and genuinely kind with visitors.

Apalach is a walk-around-town with a collection of interesting and quaint shops. We’d be glad to share our favorites when you contact us. Our son will be helping to manage the web site, bookings and correspondences, so feel free to reach out to him and we will be glad to provide more information about both Apalachicola and the loft.

Why Sean Yule chose North West Florida

We were fortunate to have the opportunity to buy the loft when it went on the market shortly after we stayed there for a long weekend; we hope you will enjoy the charm that both the loft and Apalach offer. Enjoy -

great location downtown Apalachicola

  • 5 of 5

The location is walking distance to everything downtown Apalachicola and a short drive to St George Island. The unit was Very Clean and well maintained. The furniture was nice, the bed in the loft was comfortable and the downstairs bathroom had hairdryer, soap and shampoo. The kitchen as in most lofts was small but had everything you needed for your stay. A gas station next door made it nice to pick up a bag of ice for the cooler when making the drive over to St George Island. We were able to park right at the unit which made it easy to load and unload your stuff for the week. We enjoyed our visit to the area and would stay at this lovely loft when returning to the area in the future.

A little piece of heaven

  • 5 of 5

What a delightful 'apartment', the photos don't do it justice. Felt immediately welcomed and at home. Communication with the owners was always timely and helpful, I genuinely felt that nothing would be too much trouble, directions for getting in and looking after the property were easy to follow. Yuletide was spotlessly clean, very well equipped with everything you could need, the furnishings were great fun, quirky and warm - a feast you for eyes. Very comfortable and quiet.

Apalachicola is a friendly fun town and felt very safe, it is beginning to close down during the beginning of October so not so much is available activity wise and the threat of Matthew didn't help. Local people were very full of information and helpful in guiding us in places and companies that could help. Journeys on St Georges Island were great we had an interesting kayak trip in the backwaters with them. The beaches on St George are idyllic, we walked them! We were never short of something to do or see

We joined in 'Pink Out' a locally organised charity do with bands, auctions, food etc raising money to provide mammograms for women in Franklin County, it was lovely to join in a very local event, encouraged by everyone we met and to experience the sense of community in Apalachicola and St Goerge.

The restaurants were good, though our favourite thing was buying fabulous fresh fish from 13 Mile Seafood Market and cooking in the apartment.

We didn't want to leave, a beautiful friendly place to visit and stay, we will hold the views and beauty in out minds for ever

Unexpected and Wonderful

  • 5 of 5

We made a last minute reservation for my grown daughters birthday. We stayed two days and wanted to stay longer, however the loft was already rented. The loft is very convenient to every thing. It was a real pleasure and so much fun walking around town and exploring shops. We were so blessed to have the opportunity to stay there and the weather was perfect. The Loft is wonderful, truly lovely, well equipped, cozy and provided a feel of privacy even being close to downtown. We had a wonderful time and would/will go back. It was perfect for the three of us, all adults. I highly recommend staying there, no surprises or horror stories to be told from our stay.

Great location in downtown Apalachicola!!

  • 5 of 5

We have visited Apalachicola many times in the past, but this time we decided to stay in the downtown area so we could be within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. This loft was definitely in the perfect location for that! Everything was within walking distance and there were bike's provided as well which we used several times during our stay. The loft is beautifully decorated and we felt right at home the minute we walked through the door. Thanks so much for providing such a wonderful space and we will definitely be back!

Love this place

  • 5 of 5

This was my second stay at Yuletide. Just as with the first visit a year ago everything was perfect. The place is very clean and well equipped. Anything you could possibly need they have for you. I love the convenience of being right there in walking distance to everything in Apalachicola. A short beautiful drive to the beaches. In the past i've stayed on SGI and drove to Apalachicola every evening, so now i reverse that and stay in Apalachicola and drive to the beach. The kitchen is so well equipped, the living area very comfortable, and the loft where the bedroom is great. It is so quiet, you would never know you are in the middle of town. Apalachicola is such gem of a town. Making reservations and communication with Yuletide is so easy. Love it there and look forward to next year!
