This cottage is one of the five cottages in this Casas de la Playa Central complex. It has been recently remodeled and refurbished for vacation rental. Las Palmas cottage is located in downtown Flagler Beach one half-block to the beach and within walking distance to restaurants, shops, galleries, bars, live entertainment, and the produce market. It is a one bedroom one bath upstairs unit. It is fully furnished and has all the essentials to make a home away from home. The Flagler Beach Pier is only two blocks away.
My partner and I fell in love with Flagler Beach over 30 years ago, and bought this property in 2003 while we were both teaching in Gainesville, FL. We have been remodeling this five cottage complex over the past few years and have four units ready for vacation rental now in this complex and two units elsewhere in Flagler Beach. We have been offering vacation rentals in Flagler Beach since 2001. We now live in Miami Springs, and plan to retire in Flagler Beach in the future. I welcome your inquiries through this website, or by phone, or e-mail. I will respond quickly. Although we no longer live close to Flagler Beach, we visit often, and we have a local caretaker who attends to maintenance of the property and to the needs of our guests.
Andres Nazario purchased this cottage in 2003
This cottage is one of five in a complex of a duplex and a triplex. It is centrally located with the beach a short half block away; and most restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance. This unit is one block from Moody Blvd, the main street in Flagler Beach, and two blocks to the famous Flagler Beach Pier.
Short walk to the beach, and walking distance to most places. Park your vehicle and walk everywhere.
My husband and I loved our stay at Las Palmas cottage in Flagler Beach. It is a great cottage for two with a bird's eye view of the surrounding area. One could even see glimpses of the ocean one block away. The neighborhood was friendly and Las Palmas was within walking distance of many good restaurants, a weekend farmers' market and the very long pier out into the ocean. We really enjoyed the ease of access to the beautiful beach and warm water. Andres has attended to everything one could need or want in this cozy, updated cottage. We even prepared a simple Easter dinner for 4 using pots, pans and utensils in the kitchen. Our dinner also included the bottle of Spanish wine Andres had left for us. Las Palmas is well-cared for and immaculately clean, including nice bedding, plenty of towels and a place for everything. We will return to Flagler Beach next March and are looking forward to spending our time at Las Palmas.....a very inviting place with a bright, appealing atmosphere!!!
What Sharoneeee loved about your listing:
Loved the decorating and brightness of the rooms. After a day of visiting tourist sites, and/or being on the beach, we looked forward to a restful evening at Las Palmas.
What Sharoneeee thought you could improve about the experience:
We thought everything was just perfect!
Stayed in Las Palmas and Hibiscus over the Thanksgiving holiday. Both properties were clean, neat and convenient to everything on the beach. Used the kitchens to cook some of my family's Thanksgiving meal and found that they had everything I needed. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well.
If you enjoy a truly laid back Florida beach vibe, Flagler Beach can't be beat. There are plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Beach is only a block away. Farmers' market on Friday morning was great - bought everything for a breakfast there and took it back to the unit.
The apartment has an excellent location within walking distance to several restaurants and just half a block away from the picture-perfect beach. The owners well very gracious in accommodating our needs and making sure all our requests were fulfill. Thanks you for making this a perfect vacation.
The unit was well maintained, well lit and safe. When we arrived the owner had left a bottle of wine for us on the counter. The best thing about this rental is the location. It is half a block from the beach, farmers market, shops, convenient stores and bars. One block to the pier and nicer restaurants. The Golden Lion is two blocks north, and is the #1 bar on Florida's East Coast. It is a great place with great food. It was nice to be able to have a few drinks and not have to drive home....We walked everywhere except my favorite restaurant 3 miles to the south, HIgh Tides". Love this place too. The water was warmer than I remember it ever being in Daytona/Ormond Beach...
If you want to park and walk, spending time on a beautiful sparse beach, taking in shops, the farmers market, locally owned shops, and a good nights sleep. This is your place. PS if you cant handle noise when you sleep, Finns Bar, a half a block away may be an annoyance, however we did visit Finns twice in 3 days, and enjoys sitting on our little outside deck bench listening to the band from afar.
Lovely cottage in the heart of Flagler Beach. Owner paid a lot of attention to details when he renovated the cottage. It has a great beach feel because of the cheerful clean colors and artwork he choose. Being on the second floor added privacy and the treetop view was nice. Being surrounded and sheltered with the trees and plants gave a nice buffer from the street. When we arrived we were greeted with a nice bottle of wine on the table. We could walk or
ride our bikes everywhere. There was a nice Farmer's Market and Art Show in the town
square when we were there. Off street parking was a nice bonus. Owner is very helpful and
quick to respond.
