Purchased the property 13 years ago as a second home. There was a separate
large garage. Recently, we have built a new garage with a large casita behind our
house. This is zoned commercial and will be a short-term rental as it is located
within Kayenta Art Village. My husband is an architect and I have been a real estate
Coyote Casitas , Sally McNeil-Blimling purchased this cottage in 2002
broker for over 20 years in two other states. This property was so enchanting with the serene desert and red mountains, it appealed to all of our needs for a second home. The Santa Fe design of the houses was also utmost in our decision, having close ties with New Mexico in the past. Since, my son has come to live with us from
back east, it made for a perfect fit. He could manage it while we traveled occasionally . It is a lovely piece of property near national parks and in an almost
exclusive adult community. There is much to do and many cultural events.
A theatre is in the process of construction within the village and walking distance from the casita. The gourmet coffee shop offers delicious food and is also open on the weekends for evening meals. The community has many people from all over the country who have either retired in this area or have a second home. It is because the area offers so many nearby parks, sports events, cultural events and just everyday sightseeing. The mountains of red rock "kayenta" are a view that never grows tiresome and one of enlightenment on a daily basis. Come see for yourself and you will know why we chose this spot. Pictures cannot describe the beauty nor the feeling of serenity.
Since photos, do not do the area justice, you must SEE this location to believe. As the owner, I feel confident that you will be pleased with our casita.
She was our first guest and was even here during landscaping and other
small construction details. She does not use a computer but told me to post this;
My dog and I (Nelly, the pug) loved it so much that I seriously asked the owners to
purchase from them. Of course, their answer was NO! It was a lovely quiet,
place in Kayenta in Utah which is such a wonderful place that my mother and I
will be returning.
The casita was really great and the weather was grand. I recommend it to anyone who wants to have a quiet getaway or vacation. Southern utah is a wonderful colorful place any time of the year. We look forward to returning.
The Casita is spacious and beautifully decorated and the kitchen is well equipped.
We enjoyed the quiet and the beautiful view of the Red rocks.
The casita is located in the "Art Village" of Kayenta - basically, the village center. Nevertheless, it feels removed from the activity nearby. The view from the back windows is spectacular, and the patio is a great place to relax and enjoy it. The casita is well appointed and well maintained.
"Heaven on earth" does exist in Kayenta. Staying at the Coyote Casita was the first time we used VRBO. The photo's and description were under rated, it's so much more once you arrive and very private. Sally, Patrick and Sam are great hosts, who have become friends. Everything you need is there, with views that are breath taking and so peaceful. Highly recommend staying a week or month, a experience that could change your life, you'll love it.
We had a wonderful stay! The Casita was very quiet and comfortable [AND CLEAN!] and the views were spectacular. If want great hiking [many GREAT hikes within a 10 minute drive] and a relaxing place to get away and re-energize, we couldn't recommend this place any higher!
Wonderful place and very serene. Beautiful walk around the neighborhood and the restaurant right across the street was excellent. It was awesome to wake up in the morning and see the red cliffs at sunrise. Great location to get to the National Parks and come back and relax in a very quite area. Great host. Needed a little cleaning when we got there but overall would definitely come back.
This locality has much to offer; there will be brochures about
the current activities depending on what date you travel to "coyote
casita." The local coffee shop which is just down the hill; will
also have all the info. The art village which is the location of the
casita has several festivals throughout the year. Spring and fall
seem to be the most popular for events. Check out the St. George, UT events of the year. There are many and are listed on internet.
