Charming River Home

  • 5 of 5

A lovely, welcoming and warm home with a front-row seat looking upon the Susquehanna River. The sleepy town of Selinsgrove and quaint Isle of Que house forces you to slow down, pause, meander and enjoy the simple things. It was a perfect accomodation for my family of 5 and we were able to comfortably host/visit with local family members in the home. We would love to return in the warmer months, as the outdoor spaces (large wrap around porch & separate river-side deck) are perfect spots to spend summer evenings. This home is a true treasure.

Great time at the Isle of Que

  • 5 of 5

The house was as clean and welcoming. The host provided refreshments as well as light snacks, which are always appreciated. All in all, the stay was fantastic!

However - DO NOT USE VRBO TO BOOK YOUR STAY! This website is extremely unprofessional and has caused us numerous issues during our stay.

1. The website does not provide you with any details related to your stay until you download their phone app. They force you to download the app - if not, you won't be able to contact the host or access the property.

2. The host wasn't notified about the stay until the following day! There was a massive misunderstanding between us and the host because she had no idea that someone booked the property.

3. VRBO charged us ancillary fees for some extra amenities without asking us! (There was a $100 fee to use firepit and hot tub, which we didn't need but ended up paying anyway).

Long story short - the property was fantastic - just make sure you don't use VRBO to book it.

Peaceful and Romantic

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I decided to do Thanksgiving here and we had a wonderful time. The house was cozy with breathtaking views of the river. We enjoyed hot cocoa on the porch by day and relaxing in the jacuzzi at night. Cooking Thanksgiving dinner in the kitchen was made easy because not only is it a nice kitchen, but it was equipped with everything we needed. We were very appreciative of the drinks and snacks provided by the owners and they are friendly and responsive. This is the perfect place for a romantic getaway and we will be staying here again in the future!

Isle of Que

  • 5 of 5

This is the second time I've stayed at the Isle of Que Guest House, and it was just as lovely the second time around! The house is very clean and the owner even stocked the rental with drinks, snacks, and breakfast foods! Even better, when we asked about using the outdoor fire pit, the owner had a fire ready and waiting for us when we arrived back at the house! I would absolutely recommend staying at the Isle of Que Guest House!

Hidden gem

  • 5 of 5

The nicely renovated house exceeded my expectations and the location offers fantastic views of the Susquehanna River. The house was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The owner was very friendly and accomadatig. Downtown Selinsgrove is about a 10 minute walk. I will certainly look to stay here again.

Perfect Summer Weekend Get-a-Way!!!

  • 5 of 5

We had a couples weekend (with small child) at the Isle of Que Guest House. We had never been to the area and we were so happy to find this place tucked away on the Susquahanna river. We can't say enough wonderful things about our visit. The house is a rock throw from the river. It is decorated and cared for meticuously by the owners. The kitchen came fully stocked with drinks and snacks. The beds and linens were some of the most comfortable we've ever been in. The outdoor areas were our favorite though. The pool and hot tub area had multiple sitting areas (fireplace also). We quickly found the wrap around porch in the front as our favorite spot. It was the perfect place to watch the beauty of the river and relax. We used the multiple kayaks on site and we even floated in the inner tube and enjoyed the water. The water was crystal clear and we casually fished the banks.

There were multiple bikes available and we absolutely loved biking the island and into town. We found some cute antique shops and places to eat. The Isle of Que Guest House was a dream for us. It's the perfect mix of being able to relax at times or do activities. We can't wait to come again.
