Historic aristocratic palace in a real florentine area; one of the few spots with an authentic taste of real florentine life unspoiled by the crowd.
This s the landlord just to inform that the construction of the new elevator is now over and it is working beautifully. However, be aware tat this apartment is not wheelchair accessible and not suitable for people with mobility issues or severe disabilities.
We honestly can't say enough good things about this place. Our group of 6 adults and 3 kids stayed here for 2 nights and our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer.
Guido was very responsive to emails and kindly checked in us during our stay to make sure everything was ok. Ruth the housekeeper was also very friendly and provided us with a map with routes to local attractions, COOP grocery store and favorite restaurants and gelateria.
The apartment itself is immaculate, beautifully updated, and well maintained, with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to comfortably accommodate our large party. The beds including the pullout sofa bed in the living room were comfortable and the linens and towels provided were high quality. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to prepare and serve a meal. We especially appreciated the moka pot for enjoying our delicious Italian espresso in the morning. The elevator in the building was perfect for my elderly mother who has mobility issues and it was also very convenient for bringing our luggage up and down from the apartment. Wifi strength was excellent. The AC worked great (since we were there in the hot summer, it was lovely coming home to a COLD apartment!). The washer in the apartment was an awesome bonus. Finally, the location was excellent, in a safe, quiet area of Florence, close to supermarkets, shops and restaurants, and just a short 10 minute walk to the Duomo.
We have stayed in many, many rentals during our travels and this apartment was by far our favorite. Everything here was so thoughtfully designed to ensure a wonderful guest stay. Months later we still talk about it and if we ever go back to Florence this will be the first place we look up. Thank you Guido!
We loved this two story palazzino apartment. It was spotless, spacious and elegant. A gorgeous old building in a part of the historical center we otherwise wouldn't have seen. A 10-15 walk to the Duomo but also a regular neighborhood. Guido was a great host who accommodated our schedule and gave us terrific restaurant recommendations. The apartment was spotlessly clean, great bedding and suburb hot showers! Also it is close to a big grocery store that has everything.
Our group, 2 couples, 2 singles, stayed at this apartment in mid October 2016. We were very comfortable, and had plenty of room. The layout was perfect for us. The bedrooms were upstairs, bathrooms were up and down. We had everything we needed in the way of dishes, utensils etc. Very quiet location. Close to everything. We chose to walk most everywhere.
Guido was very helpful during booking, answered emails very quickly. Gave great recommendations as to restaurants, shopping, markets etc. The temperature dropped very quickly one evening and he came right away to take care of switching from A/C to heat.
We were delayed in arriving our first night. He was very gracious about being there to explain, show and give us the keys. Gave us a detailed map of what was in the area. Couldn't have been more pleased with our accommodations.
I loved this spacious and lovely apartment. Myself, my sister, her husband and my cousin stayed here for a week in September. The apartment is very secure and located in a very nice neighbourhood. There was so much space to spread out - not what I'm used to in Europe. The kitchen is very well equipped if you plan on using it to any degree. I absolutely loved the red fridge! The bedrooms were very spacious with lots of closet space. The beds were comfortable and very clean. As a matter of fact the whole apartment was very clean. Guido and Ruth were very helpful and both spoke English extremely well. We had a small problem with operating the stove and within five minutes of us asking Guido for help we had the problem resolved.
The apartment is very well situated within short distances from the main sites. There are many options for food very close. All in all I rate this apartment highly and absolutely recommend a stay here.
We were one of three couples sharing this apartment for 3 days and loved it! It is within walking distance of all the sights, but is located in a quiet neighborhood. There was a great Coop supermarket within a 5-minute walk. The housekeeper, Ruth, greeted us and was very helpful. The apartment is quiet and very secure. It was nice to have A/C in all the rooms - even in early October. There is a great restaurant, Trattoria Cesarian, just around the corner. The food is excellent, the prices are extremely reasonable, and their house wine is great for 8 euros/bottle! It was so good, we ate there twice. I would recommend this place for anyone visiting Florence with 4+ people that want the convenience and value of an apartment.
