Looking for your “home away from home” in the heart of the Canmore/Banff/Lake Louise Rocky Mountains for a longer-term stay? Look no further! Our chalet is located in an intimate boutique resort just minutes away from downtown Canmore. And, in 2017 entrance to Banff National Park will be FREE all year! Canada is celebrating her 150th year of Confederation so c'mon up (or over) celebrate with us eh!

Imagine! A few steps from your car you walk into our pristine, cozy and comfortable Rocky Mountain-themed chalet. Kick back and relax in front of the fire, or head out with your family or companions to our year' round heated outdoor pool and hot tub for a well-deserved soak. Our 900 sq. ft. two-story chalet (maximum of 6 occupants per chalet) has two bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and is fully and comfortably furnished. Our well equipped kitchen comes complete with new granite counter tops, complimentary Keurig coffee makers along with a deluxe selection of KCups. We’ve added slow cooker and a blender for added convenience to make those family-friendly comfort meals 'n smoothies. Common area BBQ’s are nestled in our lovely, private common area courtyard and are conveniently steps away from our chalets for your stay-at-home meals as well.

We offer our own private, free, high speed, VERY reliable WIFI and besides Cable TV, wehave also have installed Smart/AppleTV/Netflix TV options so you can enjoy hundreds of on-demand movies, TV shows, concerts, WSJ Live, Bloomberg channels for news, and more! You and your family will enjoy and appreciate all the personal touches only an owner would provide. We know you'll love it!

Situated around our welcoming courtyard, immerse yourself in Canmore's pristine mountain community -- Canmore residents are listed as some of the happiest people in Canada! Our lovely resort is a 10-minute walk to downtown Canmore – a wonderful uncomercialized western mountain town that now boasts over 100 unique shops and 75+ gourmet restaurants. There are kilometers of forested walking paths located just outside our doors. You might also want to check out Canmore's new $40M recreation center – Elevation Place – boasting a huge climbing wall, multiple pools, a lazy river, watersides, hot tub, steam room, library, art gallery, drop in fitness/yoga classes and a great work out facility.

Our chalet is a 15 minute drive to the BANFF/LAKE LOUISE NATIONAL PARK gates and a 20 minute drive over to the KANANASKIS and PETER LOUGHHEED PROVINCIAL PARKS – a year-round recreational and scenic paradise right at your doorstep. We are a 50 minute drive up to spectacular Lake Louise.

About Donna Scott

We bought our chalets as vacation property/investments to enjoy with our two daughters while living in Edmonton. We loved Canmore so much, we moved here in 2005. As an avid outdoor family, we've hiked, biked, kayaked, rock-climbed, nordic and downhill skied everywhere throughout our wonderful area -- truly a mountain lovers four season paradise. We know you'll love it too!

Donna Scott purchased her chalets in 2003. She has sat on the board of directors at Mystic Springs for 8 years and is very active at the property to ensure it is well maintained.

This is by far the most unique family friendly property in Canmore. Only 44 townhome-style units comprise this quaint resort and are all wrapped around a beautiful courtyard that houses a huge outdoor pool that is heated year-round and a fabulous 12-person hot tub. We loved the fact that you can drive right up to your chalet - no elevators, long corridors to deal with while unloading all your gear. It is a full 2 storey townhome concept so there is no one tromping around on top of you either - nice and quiet! There are picnic tables and barbecues beside the pool area that are available to use. There is also a common area movie/games room with a 65' flat screen 3D TV equipped with XBox Kinect, 3D movies and ping pong/foos ball tables everyone will enjoy. Everything you need

This is the third consecutive year we have stayed at Out'n About Chalets. The location is excellent; the chalet homey, nicely equipped, clean and comfortable and the outdoor pool and hot tub a big hit with our grandchildren after a day on the slopes. Should there be any questions, Donna is always reachable and quick to respond. Always an enjoyable stay.

Great Canmore Ski Getaway

This was our first ski trip to Canmore and booking with Donna was easy. We appreciated her quick response and answers to many of our questions about the ski hills, discount cards etc. Our chalet was super clean, and well equipped with items we didn't expect -- spices, pay it forward mini bar items and games - we enjoyed playing cribbage and Jenga by the fire in the evenings after a ski day and hot tub back at the resort.

Will recommend Donna's place to our friends and family and would definitely stay here again.

Kids loved the hot pools!

We here Jan 27 – 29, 2017. From reading the reviews I was excited to book into this unit for my family (2 adults, 2 kids).

The location was perfect, great parking, unit was on the ground level and very close to pools, which we used the entire weekend, had a hard time getting the kids out of the big pool. There was a cute little cubby for the girls to play in under the stairs. Instructions for checking in and out were sent immediately after the booking confirmation, and key pad code was sent to me the day of arrival as promised.

Upon arrival, the first thing we noticed was a strong odor (from cooking, curry or something with similar spices) in our unit. It was so heavy that we immediately opened all the windows and we went out to purchase air fresheners. By the end of our stay the smell was less noticeable but not eliminated completely. Don’t get me wrong, I love curry but the smell was very strong even upstairs in the bedrooms. But having that initial smell as soon as we walked in was very unpleasant. The unit was not as clean as we had anticipated. There was a dirty sock in one of the bedrooms, the cutlery drawer had crumbs in there, and one of the beds had food/ crumbs in the sheets. You may want to consider hiring a different cleaning company.

The key pad on the door facing towards the pool did not work, the battery needed to be replaced. Maintenance was supposed to stop by but I think they may have been busy and had forgotten about us. We left the door unlocked each time we went to the pool, which made me feel a little nervous, as the complex was busy this past weekend.

Other than these few items, we enjoyed our stay and the location is excellent to all amenities in Canmore. Only a 5 min cab ride to downtown!

Great chalet, excellent price!

We stayed here with another couple and their child as well (4 adults, 2 children). It was spacious and well equipped as well as being very clean! The kids discovered there was a little play area set up under the stairs and there were children's games available already.

The listing was as advertised, however the pictures did nothing to show how much room there actually was - it was great!

Excellent condo, large enough for our group and then some. Will be staying there again, the next time we go to Canmore.

Thoroughly Enjoyed Ourselves

Friend of our recommended this property and we're so glad they did! Upon arrival, we found the chalet immaculate and well equipped. We all headed out for a hot tub and swim after our long drive -- kids loved it! They also spent a lot of time in the "Harry Potter Closet" that was full of games and stuffed animals -- we hardly saw them! The beds are very comfortable.

Only problem was our fireplace fan wasn't working but we called Donna and she arranged for it to be fixed right away. Thank you Donna!
