About Luigi

I am a person who loves traveling, meeting new people, and learning new cultures. I was born in Italy, in Rome, to be exact. I feel very fortunate to be born in this beautiful city where the weather is always mild.

Luigi purchased this apartment in 1960

Why Luigi chose Centro Storico

Of many apartments in Rome, this is located in a perfect location. I suggest to all the people who intend to book not to rent a car. Rome is such a beautiful city that should be enjoyed on foot and this apartment is just the perfect solution.

What makes this apartment unique

I am always very attentive to details. For me punctuality is a key factor in my work. I do my best to make each customer feel like home.

In addition, before each check-in I prepare a detailed list, built according to the needs of each client, of all the restaurants and shops of products typical of Roman cuisine.

The heart of Rome

  • 5 of 5

An impressive apartment under the eaves of a 16th century palace just steps from the Pantheon. Its location is its real strength as many of the main sights are within walking distance. Beautifully brought up to date, spacious and clean.

We have had the best of times and felt well looked after by Luigi.

It's all about the location!

  • 4 of 5

We, two couples, spent a week in the Pantheon apartment. First, about the apartment: It was clean and comfortable, on the 6th floor of an elevator building. The elevator holds only 2 people, so for the four of us, two walked up to avoid the wait. We usually all used the stairs going down. As you can see from the pictures, there is a steeply sloping ceiling requiring some getting used to, especially in the kitchen/dining/living area. Also note that to reach the second bedroom, you must go through the first bedroom. The bathrooms, though, were well placed (one attached to the end bedroom and the other in the living area).

Second: the location. The apartment is perfectly situated for easy walks to nearly all the attractions. And one of the special perks, it is a half a block from the Pantheon. Walking through the Pantheon piazza each evening is magical. And we could stop in any time. Luigi, the property manager was very helpful and responsive.

We recommend the apartment to anyone who doesn't mind the drawbacks mentioned above.

A great apartment for enjoying Rome’s attractions.

  • 5 of 5

The location is excellent, but still quiet. Everything was well organized on arrival, and the apartment comfortably furnished and equipped. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Perfect location for a visit to Rome!

  • 5 of 5

We were a party of 4...two couples with husbands both being well over 6’...having two king beds was wonderful! We stayed in Pantheon Apartment for two nights before a cruise leaving from Roma port in Civitavecchia. I wish we could have stayed longer, it’s a perfect location to pretend you actually live in Rome! Luigi and his assistant Laloy are most helpful and congenial. Miles and Miles tour company (recommended by Luigi and Rick Steves) also are to be commended for their excellent service while in Rome. We took a cooking class through Miles and Miles “Fettuccina”...wow! Wonderful!

Lovely Apartment for certain people

  • 4 of 5

The apartment is lovely, well appointed, and quiet. Luigi was very helpful in getting our trip set up. However, this apartment isn’t for everyone. It is located in the garret of the building. This means if you are much taller than 5’ 9” (175 cm) you may be uncomfortable in this apartment. I at 5’3” (160 cm) occasionally hit my head on the ceiling. This is because the area for clothes storage is located in the lowest part of the room. It is on the sixth floor, American Standard seventh floor. There is an elevator. However, it is about 3’ (92 cm) wide and about 4’ (122 cm) long. It’s good for ferrying up and down luggage but that’s about it. The load limit is two adults or one adult and two pieces of luggage. If you are of larger girth, you are going to be hard-pressed to use it. If you are claustrophobic, like my husband , you will likewise be hard-pressed to use it. Our biggest concern about the apartment was we both realized on the first night that if there was a fire you would be pretty much trapped. There are only a few high small windows, they did bring in a lot of light, and a balcony in the central light shaft. Because of this, we would never rent this apartment again. It may not bother others, as it is an unlikely event, but I felt obligated to point out this fact.

Owner's Response: Dear Steph, I’m sorry that the apartment didn’t satisfied your needs. If you had communicated your dissatisfaction during your stay, I definitely would have been able to help you find an alternative solution. Unfortunately, I feel powerless as, only now, I am aware that one of my clients was not satisfied. To reinforce this, I want to point out that the apartment is equipped with a mobile phone that, allows customers to call me any time (24h) for free. The main objective of my work is the satisfaction of my customers, and I take my job seriously. I would like to point out a few things as well for the future guests: The apartment is located at the top floor of an ancient Nobile building. The apartment has windows that faces both sides of the building: Apartment street and internal courtyard. Thanks for this aspect the apartment is well naturally illuminated during all time of the day. Since it is located at the top floor, the roof of the building corresponds to the ceiling of the apartment. Due to this aspect, 25% of the surface of each room has the ceiling lower. To avoid this issue, I have placed the furniture of less usage in that area of the apartment. I am 6.06 feet tall and I easily move in all the apartment. About the elevator, as I explained also in the description, the building in which the apartment is located is owned by a mobile family and it is also protected by the minister of cultural heritage as a historic building. Many years ago, buildings of this kind did not have the elevator. Therefore, when the tenants decided to install one, they had to build an elevator adapted to the few space available inside the building. The elevator has enough space to bring a wheelchair person and his accompanist or 2 adults with children. In case of fire, event that I hope never happens, all the occupants of the building can use the stairs (like 99.9% of Rome's residential buildings except for last generation hotels) that are nearly 3 meters wide (9,84 foot) and give enough space to all those who need to reach the ground floor in the fastest way. All historical center of Rome is represented by ancient’s buildings that, as such, cannot be altered. But they must be protected and respected for their appearance and beauty. Fortunately, for many people who come to visit the eternal city, these aspects represent the uniqueness and the beauty of it. Hope that despite these aspects, you enjoyed your stay and bring with you a nice memory of it. Regards. Luigi
