Casa Calla Lily is a ground floor apartment located on the newly built "Selva Madre" condominium in the heart of the new residential zone of Tulum, La Veleta.
The apartment is ample with large spacious patio and with tasteful furniture throughout so that our guest feel at home. Condo also has a new washer and dryer for your use.
The kitchen has everything you need for preparing meals including full refrigerator, electric stove, microwave, and general small appliances, like coffee maker, blender, toaster, etc.

La Veleta condo casa calla lily

The condo was clean and had all the basics. Diego was awesome. He checked on us daily, responded to a small maintenance issue immediately and resolved it. Assisted us with getting water. The pool was clean and refreshing. La veleta is at the very southern part of Tulum central. We rented bikes for ten days and used them to get everywhere. 40 minutes to the beach on a bike. 20 into town. We felt safe biking and walking in the area. We enjoyed our stay.

Toilets won't flush, no lights poolside

The place is somewhat dilapidated, not like in the pictures (paint is chipping on the balconies). The property manager, Mr. Vargas, was not there (I think he was back in the USA) and had others "managing" the property on his behalf, but very inconsistently. First, he disabled the inbox from Vrbo, which made it impossible to communicate with him on the site (and document the various issues we had), we had to communicate via Whatsapp. Second, it was confusing to find the place. Third, he gave us the wrong key for one of our guests. Fourth, the water pressure didn't work well in either of the two bathroom toilets, as they would not flush (we had to fill the toilet tanks using pots filled with water multiple times each time we wanted the toilets to flush); this took over 4 days to be addressed and it only was addressed after we got on the phone and called Vrbo. Fifth, there were no lights by the poolside (or main entrance!), and we were given the runaround about this for the entirety of our stay. This meant we could not use the pool once the sun went down. It is Winter in Mexico, so from 6 pm onward we could not be outside by the pool because it was pitched dark; the neighborhood of La Veleta is literally in the middle of the jungle. Sixth, on the very last day, Mr. Vargas, sends us a check-out message with instructions for check-out, through the Vrbo inbox, which he had before disabled, right AFTER we had checked out the property. We did not have any checkout instructions until after we had checked out of the property. This was not a relaxing time, as we had to be on top of the management, and miss tours just to be present for them to come and fix the toilet water pressure issue. Very inconvenient.

Séjour plus qu’agréable dans l’appartement. Nous avons pu profiter des plages avoisinantes et de la piscine. Les moustiquaires à toutes les ouvertures sont très utiles. Seuls l’accès et les chemins pour accéder sont difficiles.

Awesome vacation rental

Hidden away in the heart of Tulum. Great pool for swimming laps. Safe . We took multiple walks around the streets adjacent to the condo without fear of crime. quiet air conditioners. Hot showers. Lots of good restaurants close by. Private

Christmas in Tulum

We had a great stay here. The place was clean and as advertised. The only issue we had was finding it! Almost all of our taxi drivers struggled, our transport company USA Transfers couldn’t find it on the way in or out.. otherwise Juan and Wendy were helpful and we enjoyed our time in Tulum. We will be back. A little bit better signage would help. It was however our first time in the area. Thanks again!
