About Deb Burks

I love these mountains, their beauty refreshes my mind and spirit. The clean fresh air energizes me. Hiking, rafting or canoeing are the most perfect ways to become a part of the beautiful nature here.

Deb Burks purchased this cottage in 2014

Why Deb Burks chose Asheville Area

The views are wonderful. Its one mile to the center of Hot Springs. We added a large hot tub/spa in the spring of 2016, come soak under the stars! Fire pit to enjoy a marshmallow roast or cozy up by the fire on a cool evening. Its a perfect get away in the mountains.

What makes this cottage unique

Close to the little village of Hot Springs, but off of the beaten path; our cottage has a wonderful porch to take in the mountain view. Hot tub/spa, fire pit, comfortably appointed cottage.

Wonderful Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed ourselves. The cottage was clean and comfortable, the kitchen has everything you need. The Jacuzzi was a nice addition as well as the ability to grill out. The scenery from the front porch is beautiful. We had to contact the owner- almost midnight as we were having issues finding the place in the dark and she thankfully answered and got us right to where we needed to be. FYI, GPS marks you at location at a place down the street with no houses anywhere. As a suggestion, a little sign or something to help identify the location would be great so you aren't pulling into everyone's driveway looking for the address if arriving after dark.

It is right outside of the town of Hot Springs and a trip to the SPA for a mineral soak should be on your list of things to do. They also have a museum/welcome center that has a lot of interesting history about the city.

Thanks, Deb, for allowing us to stay at your lovely cottage we hope to come back next year.

Named Correctly

When the owners named this house "Cozy Cottage" they nailed it. This nice little cottage has it all. The owners even have coffee and tea stocked in the kitchen. The décor fits this cottage perfectly and very tastefully done. The beds are very comfortable and the bedrooms are a nice sized rooms. Then owners take time to answer any questions and were very helpful with questions on the area. We will be staying at the Cozy Cottage again!!!! Thank you Deb for providing such a lovely cottage for out visit to Hot Springs!

Owner's Response: So glad you liked our delightful cozy cottage:-) The name started "Cozy Cottage" but then someone else in Hot Springs named theirs "Cozy Cottage" so I changed the name to "Delightful Cottage" (I really liked Cozy Cottage, myself....but no point in having two in the same little village). Thank you so much for such a nice review!

So cozy and nice

  • 5 of 5

Me and my husband just returned from one of the best weekends away that we have had and it's all because of this cottage. It was way more than we expected when we arrived. The kitchen is stocked great and I mean aluminum foil, trash bags, salt and pepper, coffee, tea, sugar, dishwashing soap, dishwasher soap and even had eggs in the fridge that we could have used. The laundry area is very nice and she had detergent and fabric softener for use there along with oxi clean, the bathroom was WELL stocked with towels and wash clothes and even had shampoo and conditioner for use if we needed. I have never stayed in a place with all this we usually bring our own supplies. The cottage was very roomy and comfortable. The hot tub was great it has a light show for the night time soaks and the view was even better from the front porch. Very close to town, if you need hamburger patties or steaks hillbilly market is your place. The owner Deb was great with communication we will for sure be back.
