The Cottage is in the city limits of Hot Springs and 1 mile to the main part of town. Our cottage is perched on a bluff overlooking the French Broad River Valley. Large spa/hot tub added in 2016, come soak under the stars! 3 1/2 miles down River Rd. is National Forest land with a park on the French Broad with 2 fishing piers, pic-nic and grilling area and pavilion. Our home is well stocked for your comfort with comfortable beds, nice linens, TV, Wi-Fi, a gas fireplace, charcoal grill, and a lovely porch to sit and take in the view. Come and soak in our new, large hot tub/spa set on a privacy deck. Roast marshmallows around the fire pit. Our cottage is located in a perfect spot that is very close to the center of Hot Springs, but far enough away to enjoy getting back to nature.
I love these mountains, their beauty refreshes my mind and spirit. The clean fresh air energizes me. Hiking, rafting or canoeing are the most perfect ways to become a part of the beautiful nature here.
Deb Burks purchased this cottage in 2014
The views are wonderful. Its one mile to the center of Hot Springs. We added a large hot tub/spa in the spring of 2016, come soak under the stars! Fire pit to enjoy a marshmallow roast or cozy up by the fire on a cool evening. Its a perfect get away in the mountains.
Close to the little village of Hot Springs, but off of the beaten path; our cottage has a wonderful porch to take in the mountain view. Hot tub/spa, fire pit, comfortably appointed cottage.
We had a wonderful time at Deb's Cottage in Hot Springs! The home was exactly what we needed - cozy, clean & comfortable! We spent a few days exploring Asheville, hiking the Appalachian Trail, and hanging out at the cottage. There were a few cute restaurants in Hot Springs, but we also made several meals at home. The cottage is well-equipped with most everything you need. Deb was phenomenal and quick to respond to any questions that we had. We will definitely return!
My husband and I rented the Delightful Cottage for 3 nights and it was great! The cottage was so cute and homey and the hot tub was wonderful in the cool weather. The porch provided a great view with the mountains directly across the street and even though you couldn't see the river from there, you could hear it. We had a wonderful time while we were there and would highly recommend staying here to anyone. Deb and her husband were great to work with and made the rental process very easy.
Our experience with this rental was wonderful. Deb is quick to communicate and answer questions. The pictures you see don't do this home justice. It was a million times cuter than we had expected. So cozy. Very clean. Everything you'd think of needing is provided. The location is so great. At the bottom of the road there is access to several trails and the small, downtown area. Plus the Hot Springs Spa! Being able to have our dogs with us was a huge plus, and we are grateful Deb allowed us to have them there. I honestly can't imagine a sweeter spot than this one. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! We can't wait to go back!
We enjoyed our weekend in this cottage. We could sit on the front porch and just enjoy the lovely mountain view. The furnishings were nice and comfortable. The hot tub was fun. We had stayed at more remote homes, but found we liked the easy access to Hot Springs right on River Rd.
The cottage was very clean which is a must for me and furnishings were great. Had everything we needed for a nice stay. There were a few minor issues with air unit and hot tub but the owner was on top of it and very pleasant to work with. The cottage was close to river but did not have a view. The view of mtns made up for it tho. I would definitely rent this property again.
We really enjoyed ourselves. The cottage was clean and comfortable, the kitchen has everything you need. The Jacuzzi was a nice addition as well as the ability to grill out. The scenery from the front porch is beautiful. We had to contact the owner- almost midnight as we were having issues finding the place in the dark and she thankfully answered and got us right to where we needed to be. FYI, GPS marks you at location at a place down the street with no houses anywhere. As a suggestion, a little sign or something to help identify the location would be great so you aren't pulling into everyone's driveway looking for the address if arriving after dark.
It is right outside of the town of Hot Springs and a trip to the SPA for a mineral soak should be on your list of things to do. They also have a museum/welcome center that has a lot of interesting history about the city.
Thanks, Deb, for allowing us to stay at your lovely cottage we hope to come back next year.
Hot Springs is where the Appalachian Trail and the French Broad River meet. This steep mountainous area is 'take your breath away' gorgeous. Clean fresh air, natural mineral water spring filled hot tubs, the river, the mountains, wildlife, and plenty of hiking trails to take it all in. Come and get back to nature!
