About Deb Burks

I love these mountains, their beauty refreshes my mind and spirit. The clean fresh air energizes me. Hiking, rafting or canoeing are the most perfect ways to become a part of the beautiful nature here.

Deb Burks purchased this cottage in 2014

Why Deb Burks chose Hot Springs

The views are wonderful. Its one mile to the center of Hot Springs. We added a large hot tub/spa in the spring of 2016, come soak under the stars! Fire pit to enjoy a marshmallow roast or cozy up by the fire on a cool evening. Its a perfect get away in the mountains.

What makes this cottage unique

Close to the little village of Hot Springs, but off of the beaten path; our cottage has a wonderful porch to take in the mountain view. Hot tub/spa, fire pit, comfortably appointed cottage.

PEACEFUL AND PERFECT

  • 5 of 5

Deb's place is perfect! Close enough to town yet quiet and peaceful on it's own! The river is right across the street. )

Everything you need is included in Deb's place. GREAT firepit, great jacuzzi under the stars!

Comfy bed!

Explore Hot Springs for some natural mineral springs healing. Literally 5 minutes from Deb's!

Thanks Deb!

Enjoyable stay

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time in Hot Springs. The house was just fine. Everything worked, and the spa was delightful. The TV/satellite had issues, but who goes to Hot Springs to watch TV? Deb responded quickly to emails, and also accommodated our special requests.

BEST STAY EVER!!!

  • 5 of 5

My friend and I REALLY enjoyed our stay at the "Delightful Cottage". Although it was a little rainy some days, we were able to enjoy the hot tub a couple times. (During bug seasons, an insect fogger is essential, but bring your own-more expensive at the hardware store in town.) We sat on the porch most of the time we were there, but Direct TV even let me watch my hometown baseball team one night. Did have trouble with TV, but figured it out with Jeff's help. (Don't use the Power button to turn it off- use the Off button or you'll have to reset the box.)

The cottage is right on the road and there was a lot of traffic, so watch the kiddos. Almost everyone waved as they went by-very friendly neighborhood. Amazingly, when you are inside, you don't hear the cars go by.

Never saw any of the neighbors. Very quiet. Church next door if you are so inclined.

The inside of the cottage was very well maintained-she has an excellent cleaning tech. We had everything we needed for our stay. Appliances easy to use. Beds super comfy! My friend really appreciated the leather sofa-very easy for her to relax and put her feet up after a long day of shopping in Asheville.

Hot Springs is a wonderful town! We enjoyed a soak at the Spa twice. The market even had a meat frig in case you needed dinner. The Iron Horse Saloon is an excellent restaurant with generous portions. Would've tried the Ice Cream Parlor, but they close early during the week. Check out the cute store next to the Iron Horse (on the railroad side)-lots of local artwork!

Only had to bother Deb once, but she was very sweet. Asked about our visit and was very happy that we had a great stay! I would recommend staying at any of her properties as she pays great attention to detail.

Come enjoy the mountains! You won't regret it. Just don't come down HWY 209. Called" Rattlesnake Roll" (with 290 curves) for a reason.
