This saltbox house is in the residential hamlet of Springs, in the town of East Hampton. It is on about a half-acre surrounded by lovely oak trees.
It is about a 3-minute drive to the ocean, and also to the village of East Hampton. It is closer to the bay beaches. There are three bedrooms, one with a queen-size bed and two with double beds, a full kitchen, outdoor dining on the deck with a Weber grill, two bathrooms, and a spacious living room with two skylights and a smart TV.
There are two bicycles available with helmets and locks for guests to use, as well as a washer and dryer and a dishwasher, microwave, and toaster oven in the kitchen. Linens and towels and beach chairs and umbrella are also provided.
I am a potter, an art therapist, and an IGM accupressurist. I always spent the summers in East Hampton as a child as my grandparents had a house on Fireplace Road almost across the street from Jackson and Lee Pollock.
My father and Jackson became friends and I would watch him paint in his studio. I think he was the reason I became an my father liked him so much.
Owner/Property Manager purchased this house in 1996
My mother bought this house in 1996 after she and her siblings sold my grandparent's house. She added my name to the deed because I loved coming here as much as she did.
She spent the summers here until she could no longer travel (she will be 97 this year).
I turned the house into a rental property in 2013 so that I could afford to spend some time there and pay the expenses. I enjoy having people use it who respect it and enjoy it.
The house is in a quiet neighborhood but near to the beaches and villages of the Hamptons. It is clean and allows visitors to cook and eat at home - either in the dining area or on the deck.
Grace Cottage is located in the Springs, a quiet residential neighborhood in East Hampton, part of the famous Hamptons. It is close to Amagansett, Montauk, East Hampton village, Sag Harbor, and Bridgehampton.
There are beautiful beaches, great restaurants, fabulous shopping, marinas, and celebrity sightings.
2 bicycles are at the house for your use for riding on the scenic roads and going to the nearby beaches without passes. A car is helpful have, and there is parking at the house.
Fresh seafood is served at most of the restaurants - I particularly enjoy Gosman's in Montauk right on the water where you can see the fishing boats come in.
