Overview

About the property

Charming large apartment in historical building, renovated

Charming apartment located in the Ancient Convet of Sacramento, only a few steps away from Garrett Street, Carmo Square, Santa Justa Lift and Baixa Chiado metro station. Public parking next door. Bakeries, groceries and restaurants all in the area. Chiado is the best from its central location, vibration, luminosity, shopping and access to public transportation.

Inserted in what has been the convent of Sacrament, built in 1850 in a historical classified building, the fully renovated apartment has 73m2 in the heart of the Chiado, one of the most charming and vibrant neighbourhood of Lisbon! In the first floor (only 4 steps up from the street level), the apartment faces the inner church pateo guaranteing luminosity, privacy and silence for the guests. The full complex has been renovated in 2013.

Chiado is the best from its central location, vibration, luminosity, shopping and access to public transportation. There are many dining options from the simple but tasty tascas to the Michelin 2-3 stars restaurants, bars and cafés and the not-to-miss portuguese bakeries. Ask for a list of reccomendations from us. We will be glad to provide.

Lisbon's most elegant and trendy neighborhood is where everyone meets for coffee, shopping, or before dinner and a night out in neighboring Bairro Alto. Most of the buildings are from the 1700s (many of them renovated in the 1990s by architect Álvaro Siza Vieira after their destruction by a devastating fire in 1988), but the neighborhood is a flashback to the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the 'Belle Époque' when writers such as Fernando Pessoa and Eça de Queiroz used to write at the now-historic cafés.

This is also the neighborhood of theaters, of charming old bookshops, local fashion designers and major international brands, giving it a lively cosmopolitan ambience at any time of the day.

The apartment has metro, train station and buses all in a short walking distance. If you need any assistance on planning your arrival, I am more than happy to assist.

Please ask for a detailed guide of the area with our elected restaurants, cafes and grocery stores.

About Camila Amorim

I am was born in Brazil, my grand father was portuguese. I always loved Portugal not only because of my origins... Portugal is the most ancient country in Europe... its tradition, culture, food and wine... So back in 2013 my husband and I decided to buy a little place so we would enlarge our intimacy with this fabulous country. The house was in process of being renovated. The works ended finaly in 2014 and we have heartfully decorated our place. The same place we are sharing now with our guests.

Camila Amorim purchased this apartment in 2013

Why Camila Amorim chose Lisbon City

We wanted a special place, not just well located but with history and character. The ancient Convent of Sacrament was perfect as it united all: location, history and also totally renovated but with class. Although it is a one bedroom apartment, it is spacious and luminous.

What makes this apartment unique

Within walking distance from all you may need and want, in the heart of the most vibrant place in Lisbon. You can use metro, trams or buses. You can walk and feel the ambience around the Chiado and Bairro Alto, as well as Principe Real. It is convenient and most important, quiet for a nice rest.

A lovely oasis in the heart of the city

  • 5 of 5

Camila and Luis are the perfect host. Their place is centrally located on a picturesque street in the heart of Chiado. Easily accessible to the markets, Metro and Tram while walkable to many of the major sites in Lisbon. It was perfect!!

Their luxury home is comfortable and filled with all of the amenities you'll need to explore the city and beyond or it's a great place to just hang in and rest.

I can't wait to return for a future visit.

Perfect apartment, perfect location, perfect host

  • 5 of 5

Camilla was wonderful even before we arrived, making sure we had what we needed. The apartment is so central and a stone throw away from the hustle and bustle of lisbon life. Everything is within walking distance, and we spent the whole week walking. Its a beautifully spacious one bedroom apartment. Plenty of living space, fully equipped with everything you need. Its a safe environment, quiet and tranquil-so a great juxtpoistion with main eating and shopping area outside and the beautiful quite inside. I would absolutely recomend this apartment and this area.

There are two perfect cafe's up the hill bernard being our favourite. We ate at most of the resturants on the port all of which give gtreat service. The rooftop terace above doce pingo under the castle is a perfect spot for sitting on a warm afternoon ( which it was every afternoon in November as well) and drinking vino verde or rose- the view is spectacular. The trams are crowded but the underground / tube line is easy to use and frequent. El cortes ingles is a great store carrying excellent brands has a great resturant uptop ( i recomend the salmon burger on black bun), but best is the food court in the basement which has traditional portugeuse fare. i also recomend the mercado figure

My Lisboa secret paradise

  • 5 of 5

Many thanks to Camila and Luis, very nice people like if they are part of the family.

Always available to provide assistance and good tips about Lisboa.

Their house is a treasure, luxury, spacious, perfectly located to do almost everything by walking, well equiped and decorated and very quiet....

Oh! Thanks for the Nespresso machine!

I would return any time! The price-quality ratio is amazing!

Merci from Québec

Camila's apt. Is very comfortable with high ceilings and lots of light.

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful three day stay in this apartment. Right from our first communication to our final check out, we knew that Camila wanted our stay to be an excellent experience - and it was. Although the property is located near the heart of the action in the Chiado and next door to the Baixa, you would never know it because it is extremely quiet., The apartment was well equipped for our needs and we would certainly want to stay here again.

Très bel appartement.

  • 5 of 5
