Hi, just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time we had staying in the treehouses! Sorry we missed you and hope your mom had a grand birthday! Laurie and the young man who assisted her were awesome and made sure we had everything we needed! Loved our tour and Miss Laurie was very informative and made us feel very comfortable with the animals! She was kind, energetic and obviously loved the animals ! The entire place is beautiful and we hope to return soon with family! My husband fell in love with Ya ya and the tortoises but I am a bit taken with Pinkie Pig and Cleo! We all four had a blast, thanks again!
Wonderful place to stay and relax. The treehouse rooms are amazing. We loved the screened common area and spent quite a few hours relaxing and laughing around the fire pit and pool table. The entire site is like camping but with amenities. Staff was amazing and very accommodating. We loved this, would stay again and have recommended this to many friends. Easy drive from Baton Rouge.
I was planning a low key bachelorette trip for one of my best friends and she LOVES animals. I knew when I found this Safari Park, it would be the prefect place to take her. We surprised her once we got there and let me tell you she was ecstatic!!!!........she even cried! She, and all of us, fell in love with this place. From the laid back atmosphere to the amazing wildlife and scenery I know for sure we will all come back here for sure! The staff made us feel like we were at home. We even had a few people wanting to help feed the animals one morning and the staff let all of them tag along to help. Not to mention the safari ride was amazing too. They were so accommodating to our large group that we got to have our own personal tour. They thought they were going to have to cancel our tour because of the muddy conditions, but I think since they knew how much it meant to the bride they decided to try and make it work. Well let me tell you, it turned out perfect. The perfect time of day, great weather, and not too much mud! I knew we would all have a good time, but I never expected all of us to be so overwhelmed with the whole experience. None of us wanted to leave!! It is truly a trip that we will never forget and it meant the world to the bride!! She cried once we were leaving because she didn't want to go. :( It's hard to stay places these days and easily accommodate almost 20 people, but this went so smoothly and I felt like we were at a family's lodge! I will definitely recommend this place to everyone I know and I can't wait to make plans to come back!!! Thanks ya'll for everything!! You truly made a huge impression on us and we will never forget this weekend!
My husband is the youth minister at our church and when we saw this online we thought might be a good place for the annual youth retreat. We couldn't have been more surprised! This place was perfect. The tree houses were more than expected and the bridge was simply picture perfect. The property made it a ton of fun for our youth to play games like capture the flag and we had a scavenger hunt too. The pool and club house were fantastic for down time. Such a nice place and after meeting the owners we can say they were extremely nice and accommodating also. The wild animals walking around were a blast. We also had an infant (20 month old) on this trip with us and our tree house was fully equipped with toys and all! Such a nice place to get away!! We will be staying here again! Thank you again, Friendship Baptist Church
I had the chance to spend a weekend here with my wife. I was looking for a unique setting that was a bit out of the way and where could unplug. I could not have imagined a more perfect location. The treehouse had everything we needed and was very comfortable. There was even an electric blanket for the bed in case we needed it. Everything about the property was beautiful (only 30 minutes from town). Looking forward to our next trip here.
I planned a group retreat for a large Tulane organization, and our stay at Juneau Safari Resort was perfect! We comfortably fit 20 students in the Treehouses and cabins, and we loved the Safari that came along with our stay. We were incredibly pleased with the lodging accomodations - the treehouses were stunningly beautiful, comfortable, and exciting! The rope bridge was certainly added excitement. There was plenty of space for group work, and we were able to break out into smaller groups to get work done and get to know each other. The Safari was the perfect break in the middle of our activities. I never expected to see zebras, peacocks, and water buffalo (among with several other exotic animals) in Lousiana.
Lake Juneau Safari Lodge was perfect for our retreat, and several of us have been talking about coming back at a later date. I would whole heartedly reccommend staying here to groups of all ages, or a smaller family trip or romantic getaway. We enjoyed our stay and can't wait to be back!
We really enjoyed our experience at Lake Juneau! It was secluded enough to where we could enjoy ourselves and not worry about upsetting the neighbors! Waking up to the wildlife was quite an experience. The onsite personnel onsite were great and catered to whatever we didn't have. It can get muddy but with the group we had that added to the fun.
