Updated Victorian Cottage - Downtown Colorado Springs

Bedrooms 1
Space 900 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 3 nights

About the property

1 bed, 1 bath updated victorian home w/mountain views and outdoor space.

This victorian-style cottage home was originally built in 1916 has been updated and modernized while retaining much of its original character. Huge windows throughout, lots of natural light and a wonderful view of Pikes Peak & the Rocky Mountains from the front porch. Central location, walk to downtown. 1 bedroom with queen bed & 1 full bath. Well-equipped kitchen, mudroom with washer / dryer and great private outdoor space.

Compact but very functional and well laid out, the home features one bedroom, a great living and dining space, a well-equipped kitchen, bathroom, and mudroom.

The bedroom features a queen-sized bed with ample closet and storage space. Faux French doors lead onto a private deck with a wonderful cafe table and chairs shaded by 40-foot elm trees, perfect for enjoying a morning cup of coffee or reading.

The open-concept living area features a couch that seats up to 5, an entertainment center with a flatscreen TV and DVD player. A dining table with four chairs and a reading nook are lit with updated lighting fixtures.

The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped, with a toaster, microwave, oven, stove, plenty of coffee options (grinder, french press, drip pot and espresso machine – we love our coffee!), pots, pans and utensils available for use. We try to keep basic spices and salt & pepper stocked for guest use.

The full bathroom is simple and clean, with a full-sized tub and shower. There is a mudroom that includes a full, front-loading washer and dryer with detergent provided that is available for use.

One of our favorite parts of the property is the outdoor space. In addition to the deck off the main bedroom, we've renovated a patio space that is bordered by an original, early 20th-century brick wall and a new privacy fence. A new patio is shaded by large, mature trees. The front of the house also features a small porch with a love seat and a great view of the mountains.

For TV entertainment options, all major networks are available live via HD antenna, and Hulu Plus and Netflix make most current-season TV episodes and a huge library of movies and TV series available. High-speed (30 mpbs+) wireless internet is available throughout the house.

Loved this cozy home!

  • 5 of 5

Loved this cozy little home. Chris and Brita had it decorated so cute and were always quick to respond to any questions we had. It was in a great location with a gorgeous view of Pikes Peak. We even got to see the fireworks off the top of the Peak on New Years! Only recommendation I would have is to get a bigger coffee pot (we had to make it twice in the small pot), but otherwise a fantastic stay. Our pups enjoyed it equally as much. Thank you to you both!

Excellent Accommodation

  • 5 of 5

This cottage had everything we needed. It is very comfortable, well appointed and generous in space. The location is central to all we wanted to do. The neighbourhood is very quiet with lovely trees and gardens. We did not meet Chris and Britta but they regularly kept in touch via SMS. We enjoyed our stay in Colorado Springs and the cottage was ideal for us.

Quiet, relaxing, cute home off the beaten path.

  • 5 of 5

I stayed in this rental in mid-July. It was perfect for my stay in Colorado Springs. It is located in a quiet neighborhood that is away from busy streets but a good central location that is close to I-25. The home was stocked with everything I could possibly need and the house was very clean. If I'm ever in the area again, this would be my first choice for a nice relaxing vacation!

So Charming!

  • 5 of 5

This place is perfect! It is clean and has literally everything you could ever need! It's in the middle of everything l, so anything you are wanting to do in COS is no more than 10 minutes away! We spent our honeymoon here and we absolutely loved it! The owners are so kind and thoughtful they even left us a bottle of wine to celebrate.

Lovely cottage, perfect location

  • 5 of 5

This quaint cottage was absolutely perfect for a week-long trip to Colorado Springs. Chris and Britta thought of everything to make to make us feel "at home" during our stay. The property is very well-maintained and fully stocked with whatever you may need during your stay. They were also very helpful in guiding us to the best places to visit/eat during our stay through emails and the Welcome Book inside the home. The cottage is in the perfect location near downtown and many sites in Colorado Springs. We look forward to returning sometime soon; we could not have asked for a more enjoyable stay!

Beautiful pristine cottage

  • 5 of 5

This cottage is worth the stay. Pikes Peak view from your front window. Close enough to a lot of attractions, but yet settled in a quiet neighborhood setting. The decor is inviting and we had everything we needed for vacation use. It was close to Garden of the gods, Manitou Cliff dwellings, mountain drives, and all kinds of fun and unique restaurants, we loved the restaurant Overeasy and shopping at Trader Joes. This is wonderful for a couple to relax and unwind or do more adventurous things, like hiking at the Florrisant Fossil beds. The Hoffmans answered any questions we had and were accommodating.
