About Frank Albinder
I'm a classical musician who's lived in Washington DC for more than 13 years. It's a great city in so many ways, I'm glad I can share my basement apartment with visitors from around the world. I live in the main house above the apartment, so I'm easily available to assist guests with their visits in the national's capital.
Frank Albinder purchased this Apartment in 2002
Why Frank Albinder chose Dupont Circle
I love my neighborhood with its historical townhouses and apartment buildings, restaurants, shops and nearby public transportation. Though in the heart of Washington, the apartment is in a residential neighborhood populated with a wide variety of residents, including young Congressional and White House staffers, young families, couples and singles from all over the world. (Few people in DC are actually from DC!) One of the coolest things about where I live is the giant Masonic House of the Temple, located right across the street from the apartment. The building was designed by John Russell Pope, architect of the Jefferson Memorial and the National Archives, and it's one of the most impressive buildings in Washington. It serves as the Southern Headquarters for the 33rd degree of Scottish Rite Masonry, and a tour of the building is fascinating and entertaining. If you're a Dan Brown fan, the building plays a pivotal part in his novel, 'The Lost Symbol.'

Fantastic apartment and location
This apartment was a perfect location for our DC trip. The apartment was just as described and was located in the perfect neighborhood ! The property owner was very easy to work with and always promptly responded to our inquiries. The check in process was easy!
Charming Apartment / Great Location
Truly enjoyed the stay here. The location has excellent restaurants nearby with easy access to public transportation and Uber. Apartment is charming, quiet and very cool during hot DC summer weather. Highly recommend!
Location, location, location
This place was absolutely perfect for our DC vacation. Two separate metro lines within easy, safe walking distance. Restaurants and shopping are within walking distance. The surrounding neighborhoods are amazing to walk through. There is the gorgeous masonic temple right across the street. History everywhere!
The host was super easy to communicate with and had things very well outlined in the apartment. He had several maps, tips, guides available. He even let us keep our luggage in the apartment past check in so that we could enjoy one more day of site seeing. We would definitely recommend staying here for an awesome DC experience.
Great Stay in DC
Everything was organized which made for a great stay. No stress- Frank had everything taken care of down to our parking pass & metro cards readily available. Great neighborhood: stores, delicious restaurants, & public transportation close by. Safe environment & would definitely stay here again!
Frank provided everything needed and detailed instructions for our stay. The location was quiet and very convenient to walking and public transpotation destinations.
I was in Washington for a conference for 3 days. Throughout our communication, Frank responded promptly and helpfully. In addition to giving me clear instructions about what to expect at his property (how to get in, wifi, etc.), he gave me some really good tips about how to get there. His place was plenty big enough for me, clean and very comfortable. Best of all: it's a great location. Easy walking to major attractions and places to eat/drink, yet on a leafy, quiet street. I would definitely recommend.
