We chose those resort because we have stayed here in the past. The resort was nice and maintained well. I waited 45 minutes in line to check in. We were placed next to some extremely noisy guest. Seemed like almost everyone was having parties.
Mystic Dunes was a great place to stay. The complex is very large! The suite was perfect for a couple - very comfortable. There is no dishwasher so if you are staying for a week, you may have dishes to do. The pools and amenities looked nice although we did not use them. The food in the restaurant on the grounds was fine but the wine list was terrible. There are lots of choices of great restaurants in Celebration which is not far from Mystic Dunes.
The only surprise was the amenity fee that we had to pay - it was not a great deal of money but we were unaware of this charge.
I would recommend Mystic Dunes for couples or families.
Our vacation started with being informed we needed to go to a timeshare presentation. We went for the free gift ($75 gift card) and informed the staff that we had just purchased a timeshare and were not interested in another. We were told no problem attend anyway and get the free gift card which we did. At the conclusion of the presentation when we again informed our salesman we were not interested the disposition of the salesman and his supervisor dramatically changed. The salesman clammed up immediately and was borderline rude. His supervisor then informed us she had to go through the price offers with us to conclude the presentation and her attitude was borderline rude. We were shuffled off to do a review of the experience with another gentleman and he proceeded to make another pitch to buy undercutting the previous offer significantly. We filled out paperwork and did not express our displeasure at the time but we again refused and finally were shuffled off to the last station to get our gift card. The experience was terrible and we will not attend another timeshare presentation because of it. The resort is huge with 4 pools but is so spread out you need to drive to enjoy most activities. The golf course is nice but expensive and the already high rates went up $10 starting February 1st. The clubhouse has a nice and reasonably priced restaurant and bar with good food. The one bedroom condo we were in had bugs in the kitchen and after several calls and spraying we had to relocate to another condo which was updated and much nicer than the first place. Neither condo had screens on the patio doors so you couldn't open them to get some fresh air in. Overall not a good experience and we will not return to the resort.
This was a perfect rental for a quick, last minute get away for my husband and I. The property was very nice. We did not take advantage of any of the amenities due to spending most of our time at the theme parks. I would definitely recommend this property and would stay here again. Great proximity to Disney!
