Bedrooms 1
Space 762 sq. ft.
Property type cottage
Minimum Stay 3 nights

About the property

1 Bedroom With Full Kitchen, Living & Dining Surrounded By Mature Landscaping

The bathroom has been fully renovated. The home has been refurbished but maintains its old Florida charm including Dade County pine flooring. There are large oak trees and a mango tree that likely predate the 1925 home. Parking is plentiful with two driveways and additional on street parking. Sidewalks and crosswalks extend from the home to just about anywhere you'd like to travel in downtown Stuart.

About Steve Allison

This home was purchased in 2014 by real estate investors. Both partners fell in love with the home and the location. Instead of 'flipping' the property, the investors decided to renovate the home and keep it for personal use and occasionaly a tenant.

Lovely Little Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We rented this for 11 days due to a family emergency. It was the perfect respite. The cheerful Florida decor only added to the comfort. The king bed was very good. We used the extra room out back where another family member slept. Description did not include that the cottage had a washer and dryer, wi-fi, and cable, all of which we made good use of.

It is very close to downtown Stuart, 1 block from the big circle, less than 10 minutes from our family in Palm City. We felt safe in the neighborhood. Also very convenient to restaurants and stores on US 1. If you need a place for a long or short stay we can recommend the cottage.

This house is exceptionally cute and located in the heart of the Stuart historical business district with tons of walkable bars and restaurants. Would definitely stay there again.

Amazing cottage close to everything!

  • 5 of 5

This was the PERFECT spot for us to finish off the last 10 days of our vacation to Florida. After spending 6 nights in Fort Lauderdale, we headed north to Stuart, a quiet but bustling oceanfront gem! How can I explain Steve's unit - we didn't want to leave! There wasn't anything he overlooked, from the comfortable bed, tastefully decorated interior and well-stocked kitchen. The best part, all within a few steps of the historic, downtown core and about a 10 minute drive to the beach. A very quiet neighborhood, I was surprised to discover a tea-room just in the back yard and a funky boutique at the end of the street!

All in all, this was by far one of the best rentals I have discovered on VRBO. We intend to return!

Charming Cottage

  • 5 of 5

Not only is this a charming & clean cottage but it's a superb location. A short walk to restaurants, bars and shopping. The beach is a 10 minute drive. Less then a 1/2 hour drive to Mets spring training which was the reason for the trip. Quiet neighborhood & friendly neighbors. We will definitely stay here again and have told family & friends the same.

We loved our stay at this house in Stuart. We came to Florida to visit friends in Jupiter. Only about 1/2 hour away. There was plenty of room for my husband and I. It is clean, comfortable. I believe the Bathroom is new as well as kitchen. The location is great simply go out the door and quick walk into town. We went to town for art festivile which lined the streets. We walked the River walk a few times, drove to see a game at Roger Dean Stadium. Out favorite beaches were Stuart and Santa Lucia. Both are great walking beaches. One night we went to hear Paul McCartney music at Terra Ferrara, again we walked there. We picked up tacos at the local Taco place twice great tacos and very unique. Brought them back to the house to eat on the patio with our bottle of wine. In my opinion you can't go wrong renting this house. If there's more than two not a problem there is a folding bed and another little sleeping area on the property! we would definitely rent this again.

A Lovely and Relaxing Gem

  • 5 of 5

This 762 ft square cottage was a very pleasant surprise to us. This open concept rental appears a lot larger than the square footage. Comfortable furnishings and tasteful decorating makes this an appealing rental. The updated bathroom is lovely. A surprise to us was another building with a second bedroom, which we did not use.

Excellent customer service....The property owner, Steve was always assesible and if you needed anything, he made it available very quickly. He receives a five star plus!!!

The rental is a five minute walk from downtown Stuart, which is great and a ten minute drive to the beach is easy. There are many choices for dining, music and a beautiful and well maintained boardwalk, which winds itself around the town, close to the Khatib bridge center and numerous golf courses. Our favorite restaurant is Oceola's.

The neighbors are friendly and welcoming.

We will be renting again next year for two months. So yes, we would recommend this property to friends and relatives.
