This cosmopolitan escape is located on the top floor of a corner building. It boasts an expansive private wrap-around rooftop terrace. This terrace overlooks two classic Santa Barbara landmarks; the Arlington Theater and The Granada Theater.
As the secure elevator opens to your fourth-floor penthouse, you are treated to a panoramic view of the red-tile rooftops of historic downtown Santa Barbara.The stunning urban view is framed by the Santa Ynez mountains to the North and coastal skyline views to the South. During your initial tour, It is readily apparent that this special home was thoughtfully designed with green-building standards in mind.
The main living area is a welcoming Great Room with two white leather couches and chairs. The well-equipped kitchen opens to a cozy dining area with a round marble table that comfortably seats four. All chefs will enjoy the weekly nearby Farmer's Markets (Tuesdays and Saturdays) where visitors can purchase local produce and other fresh delicacies.
The two generous bedrooms feature French doors to the Terrace, along with scenic views.Each room is equipped with a flat screen TV and a quality sound system with iPod dock.
The Master Suite includes a full bath with a combination shower and bathtub. For additional privacy, this area of the home may be closed-off with a door of frosted glass.The second bedroom is appointed with a king sized bed, and is served by a full bath across the hall.

We had never been to Santa Barbara before and knew nothing about it. The location of Cityscape was excellent. The property itself was in good shape and is maintained very well. Everybody on the management staff went out of their way to accommodate us in every way possible. I would highly recommend this unit as a 5 star place to stay!
Pictures are very accurate. Comfortable beds and furniture. Location can't be beat if you want to enjoy the restaurants, shopping and wine tasting rooms on State Street. Management was very responsive when we reported an issue with the front gate lock. Issue was fixed same day. This condo is on the top floor of an office building so no other tourists in the building. Security is excellent. We decided that Santa Barbara will be a repeat trip and I will definitely book with Paradise Retreats due to their top-notch service.
This is the second time that we have stayed at Cityscape. The location is great. You can walk to anywhere downtown or the beach. Many restaurants and shops also in walking distance. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. The view is fantastic. We visit Santa Barbara often and always use Paradise Retreats listings for our stay. We find them extremely responsive and their properties are always clean and updated frequently. They really want to make you extend your stay.
Honestly, if it wasn't so expensive, I'd come down to Santa Barbara all the time and and stay at this location. It was walking distance from every place I wanted to visit. The house came equipped with everything I needed except filtered water, but the store was walking distance. The only reason I mention that is because the water tastes quite awful so bring a gallon or two with you. The rooms were beautiful and the deck was phenomenal. Weirdly, the only thing that was shabby was the living room couch. It was kind of a head-scratcher, really.
This is a hidden gem in the heart of Santa Barbara. It is so nice, so spacious, and in such a great area, I want to live here! We stayed when it was unseasonably warm in Santa Barbara, and, unlike the other review, the A/C was very quiet and worked great the entire time. It is only one block off of State Street, making everything a short walk or short Uber ride away. The property itself has a great living room, full kitchen, and I really appreciated the two bathrooms and how you could close a door in the hallway to separate one bedroom and bath from the other. The rooftop patio was also a fantastic place to relax with a glass of wine. I can't say enough great things about this place. It will always be my first choice for future trips to Santa Barbara!
The owners of this penthouse have since installed new triple pane windows in the master suite. The HVAC units have also been updated and are now quiet. We are sorry you had to sleep on the sofa and we hope you will give this special place another chance!
