Just beyond the southern edge of Ashland, in the country with amazing mountain views, a hop onto I-5, or up the mountains or into town, it's convenient but secluded. Spacious room supports down time and comfort. Welcoming and warm.

The good energy of the space, the beauty inside and out, and the mellow folks who live here.

House is fairly new, with strong sound insulation so highway close by is buffered well. We provide sound filter machines and earplugs for those who are sensitive to traffic.

Rustic boarding house vibe

We were grateful to find this rental for our last minute accomodation in Ashland as every other place was booked. Our room did not have a smoke alarm- it had been removed so that was different than the booking information and the room connected to the shared kitchenette and laundry facility. We did not like the shared bathroom situation as we seemed to be sharing with 3 other rooms and it was awkward. I am a light sleeper so early morning kitchen noise and smells woke me. The bed appeared to be two twin cots shoved together with a double mattress- a bit more snug than expected, but the bed was surprisingly comfortable. There was a fan to keep air flowing and we were able to open the windows just a bit at night. Its not what we were used to but it was very inexpensive so for what we paid it was fine.

I had a great stay.

I enjoyed my time (12 weeks) in Southern Ashland in the Country's Edge room. The vaulted ceilings made the room seem very large. It was nice and quiet despite being so close to the freeway. The hosts were super nice and accommodating. The room and shared spaces were clean. Overall, I would definitely stay there again if I was traveling through. Thank you for being such great hosts!

Great Stay!

The Country's Edge Room is an easy 10 minute drive to the heart of Ashland. We enjoyed our short stay and had no issues. The walls are a little thin, but otherwise it's a great place!

Why they chose this property

This land is a perfect mix of access to town where friends and family live, and yet in the country where the views are glorious and privacy is appreciable. The house was rebuilt in 2014. I designed it to accommodate multiple lodgers, so with 4 bedrooms, 2 kitchens and 2 bathrooms it is a perfect function.

What makes this property unique

There are 2 rooms available here. They have their own entrances. This room shares a kitchenette and bathroom with a tenant who keeps those rooms clean. The other one has a warmer kitchen in the room and shares the full bathroom with the host.

The property is next to the highway but lower and with strong insulation it makes it worth the convenience of travel. Very few guests notice the traffic. The area is so beautiful, driving to this home softens the heart.
