This property is situated in Warwick in a quiet safe residential neighborhood.
The apartment is part of a large house with a separate entrance and outdoor space.
Within the apartment there is a separate bedroom with a King size bed, one large closet, heating and air conditioning, 42' flat screen TV with cable, plus an on demand feature for movies purchase, free WiFi and a telephone for local calls.
The separate living room can accommodate the third and fourth person on a pull-out queen sofa. The fifth person is accommodated on a roll out twin bed. There is a 50' flat screen TV equipped with cable, DVD player with movies. Separate heating and A/C unit from the bedroom for your comfort.
The kitchen is fully equipped with china, glasses and cooking essentials. Small appliances to include: toaster, kettle, coffee maker. Major appliances: electric stove, full fridge with a freezer and full size microwave.
The bathroom has a large walk-in shower and double sinks/ toilet arrangement.
We do provide the following: Bath/ beach towels, hand soap, body wash and shampoo. Hair dryer and towel warmer racks.
Within the closets there are fresh linens, beach umbrella and chairs, iron and board.
Bus stops, fast ferry and local supermarket are but a five minute walk away (this is super great if you do not intend to rent a moped). Close to home, you will have the pleasure of exploring Horseshoe Bay and Warwick Long Bay ( 10 min. moped ride, or 20 min. local bus), Elbow Beach is walking distance (20 minutes if you are in good shape otherwise 35 min).
After a long day of exploring sit and relax in the private outdoor space.
Cook your dinner on the newly purchased charcoal BBQ while sipping wine and listen to the tree frogs serenade the night away.
Don't feel like cooking there are many Fine dining restaurants close to home: Fourways Inn is just down the street (Jacket for the gents please). The Blu Bar and Grill served up excellent food and has gorgeous views. A five minutes moped ride from the apartment. Dine at Beau Rivage at Newstead and enjoy the stunning view of Hamilton. Also a five minutes ride from apartment.
There are also nice roadside cafes for breakfast or lunch which are very easy on the pocket. Fourstar Pizzas and Grill, Island cuisine to name a few.
The Railway trail is but a 10 minutes walk from the apartment. There you can jog, walk, bike at your leisure and enjoy the peaceful scenery.
Golf courses: There are four golf courses nearby for you to play: Riddell’s Bay, The Belmont Golf Course, the Fairmont Princess Golf Club and the Port Royal Golf Course are all within 10 minutes of the property and each offers its own unique challenge.
Accessing the beaches and restaurants is easy either by bus or by moped. The apartment has easy access to the to ferry which has a direct route to the charming village of Somerset where shops and cafes makes lingering for a while a very pleasant diversion. The remarkable renovated installation at the Naval Dockyard property (a British Navy base built in the early 1820’s) has created a plaza and shopping concourse as well as a series of excellent museums, pubs, artists workshops, book stores and the like as well as the hugely popular DOLPHIN QUEST operation. These shops and museums operations are all neatly contained in spectacularly restored historic buildings dotted throughout a park setting on the furthest west end of the island. Fast ferries and buses depart and arrive from the Dockyard facility all day long. The views from The Commissioner’s House are jaw dropping as you can see from one end of the island all the way to the other, with ocean liners sedately negotiating the Two Rock Passage , the sole opening in the reefs large enough to provide safe access to Kings Wharf in Somerset or Hamilton Harbour. A visit to Bermuda without seeing Dockyard would not be complete.
Daniels Head Beach Park and Somerset Long Bay are quiet beaches you will want to explore...as well as The Railway Trail, a meandering paved pathway through the countryside throughout the island you can explore on foot or by moped . The Trail is the land right of way owned by the government for long defunct railway system. No cars or trucks are allowed upon it, so the amble will take you through beautiful park like settings overlooking the water and the interesting homes and gardens you would not otherwise notice.
The City of Hamilton also has lovely places to dine and shop, and in the summer months through to October, Harbour Nights on Front Street on Wednesday evenings is a sparkling outdoor market event. With live music, delicious food and unusual locally made items to buy, the street is shut to vehicular traffic and the better shops remain open. Everyone congregates happily til 10 pm. and then drifts off to window-shop, or investigate the night clubs, bars and cafes. The city is easily reached by bus, ferry or moped, with taxis available to whisk you away home at the end of the evening.

Overview:Centrally located in a private and safe neighborhood with easy access to two of Bermuda major road ways, Harbor and Middle road. Short five minutes walk to bus stops, fast ferry and Lindo's supermarket. Uncomfortable on a moped this location is perfect! With a moped you're perfectly positioned to explore beautiful Bermuda as Warwick is located in the middle of the island.
GETTING THERE: At the airport there are plenty of taxis, the drivers are the unofficial ambassador of Bermuda so enjoy the 15-20 minutes scenic ride to the apartment. The cost of the taxi ride to the apartment is approximately $37 prior to tipping.
Pre-arranged taxi can be made on your behalf, please make request and the cost is a flat $50 to the taxi driver.
GETTING AROUND: There is a bus stop and fast ferry at the end of the road and is about a 5 minutes walk. Tickets or passes can be purchased at Post Office or at the terminal. Adult fare is $3.00 cash per ticket, weekly pass is $56 and monthly pass is $54. The bus lines run at 15 minute intervals. Operating schedules are available at the apartment.
For the adventurous and experienced I would recommend Oleander cycles ((website hidden)) as your source for scooter rental. It is a short 5 minutes drive from the apartment and Oleander does provide pickup and drop off. I can also get you there if it more convenient.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
We have one very friendly English Cocker Spaniel, weighing 18 lbs. She does not have access to the vacation rental apartment side. If OK with guests she will come and say hello but please do not feed her anything.
Please no smoking allowed inside the apartment, there is a designated area to 'light up' outside.
Please turn off the air conditioning unit and lights when you go out.
Please conserve water - we only have what we catch on our roofs when it rains.
We allow small pets.
We expect our guest to be courteous and considerate.
Relax and enjoy Bermuda.
We stayed in the apartment in early November for almost 2 weeks. The apartment is well maintained and Lana was extraordinarily helpful on arrival as well as on several other occasions. The apartment is very centrally located about equivalent distance to the Dockyards in one direction and to St. George in the other direction. We bought a bus/ferry pass and used it extensively (highly recommend doing this). Ferry to Hamilton is nearby and is an easy way to reach the bus terminal in Hamilton. Bus stop and grocery store are also close to the apartment. A short walk up the road is the Four Star takeout. Not fancy but reasonably good pizza and excellent fish and chips.
I would highly recommend this rental unit to anyone.
Lana was really nice and friendly, the apartment is exactly as described and well equipped. What you cannot really see on the pictures is a moldy smell in the apartment. I guess it's partially because it is in the basement and a lot is contributed by the sewage since it's really strong in the kitchen sink area. When I unpacked the suitcases all my cloth had this smell. Also the ceilings are quite low. My husband is just 6 feet tall but he had to lean forward not to hit his head in the archway between living are and kitchen.
I had a most excellent time in Bermuda, thank you Lana your home and the apartment couldn't have been any better. The bed was just right, the location perfect, my own little garden area, excellent kitchen, bathroom so big and the weather almost perfect.
I hope to return to Bermuda and if the apartment is available I will definitely be trying to book it again in the near future. Thank you for a beautiful place to spend my down time.
Lana was fantastic. She was so communicative and friendly. She arranged a taxi ride for us when our flight landed. When we arrived, she showed us the apartment, local amenities, and provided us with directions! She left us ferry schedules, menus, and everything necessary for us to have a great trip. As an added bonus, she even let us use a pack-and-play for our 7-month old so we didn't need to carry one on the plane!!! It was surely a great first vacation with our baby and the convenience of a kitchen was essential! Loved the place. It was so clean, close walk to the ferry, bus, lots of restaurants, and grocery store. I highly recommend this place for your vacation to Bermuda!
Our apartment was very nicely appointed. The location is easy walking to bus or ferry or grocery store. Just be advised that the walk from house to main streets for transportation is steep, but on the flip side, it's downhill coming home from the bus. Our owner was very helpful with questions and support. All in all, a nice place to stay.
The apartment is located a few minutes walk from the Darrell's wharf ferry stop, which takes you in to Hamilton. It's also a few minutes walk from the bus stop, taking you to Hamilton or all the way to Dockyard. There is also a great grocery store, Lindo's about 10 minute walk away. It was also a quiet residential street which was a plus for us.
The apartment was clean, comfortable, spacious, with a lot of updates. The king size bed was very comfortable. There are very efficient ac units in the apartment that cooled and dehumidified the whole place very quickly every time we returned.
Lana is by far the best host I've had on all of Home Away or AirBNB. She really went above and beyond for us by arranging taxis and getting us transportation passes before our arrival. She also has a very cute, very well behaved dog who we met upon arrival.
