This house was purchased as a family getaway. We love the house and wish we could be there more and would love to share our little paradise to those who can appreciate the amenities the house has to offer. My husband is an avid bass fisherman and I am an avid shopper/theme parker. The combo works great...he fishes and I go play with friends and family at the parks and malls. The kids love it, Dad gets his fun and so does Momma!
Patty Deremer purchased this house in 2010
I have been searching for the perfect house on Lake Toho for 10 years. As soon as I found this house on the internet I knew it was the one. We specifically wanted a home on this lake because of the bass fishing and access to other lakes through the lock system built by the Army Corps of Engineers.
The property is extremely peaceful with a feeling of being in the country, but only minutes from all Orlando has to offer. Close to Disney, Epcot, MGM. Animal Kingdom, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Seaworld, Wet n Wild, Bass Pro Outdoor World, GatorLand, Reptile World, Prime Outlets, Premium Outlets, Florida Mall, Mall at Millenia, Kennedy Space Center, Cocoa Beach, Daytona Beach
This is a large family home with excellent facilities. It offers a real Florida experience. The house backs onto a large lake on a good size plot, surrounded by ancient trees and clipped lawns. If you are keen on watching wild life, fishing or just relaxing away from it all, this is the perfect house. Sitting in the screened boat dock with a glass of something listening to the frogs is just about perfect.
The house is not too close to neighbours or overlooked. It is located on a small gated community of quality homes about seven minutes easy drive from the 192. You can join the 192 on Main Street, Kissimmee and from there reach all the main attractions or airport in about 30 minutes depending on the traffic volumes which can vary considerably. Publix supermarket is not far off, either at St Cloud (10 mins) or Columbia Promenade (12 mins).
The manager (Patty) was very helpful and responds quickly if anything is needed. We had no issues - everything worked which is rare in rentals. The house was very clean. The beds were comfortable and the bedding, towels and furniture are premium quality. We used the outside gas grill and kitchen area most nights - the sink next to it makes it easy to keep clean. The large pool was warm and if the cover is used overnight requires minimal heating as it catches much of the day time sun (April).
In summary, good value for money and if you have researched your holiday needs, we would highly recommend it.
The house was beautiful it could have been better organized all mix-matched glassware and many of the towels and linens will bleach stain the owner was wonderful the oven was broken and she drove two and a half hours to come and make sure that it was replaced so we can have a home-cooked Easter dinner. I recommend the house for anyone with a large group but I do think that it needs to be better maintained.
We truly enjoyed our stay and it was exactly as described. Everything was very clean and it is a great location for a lot of diverse activities with lots of space for our family of 12. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a rental in this area.
The property was great and as described. The house is well maintained and we had little problem with anything available for use. The owner is responsive to any requests. She was easy to get a hold of through text messaging. The house is very spacious and we had plenty of room between two families and a grandparent. The kids loved the outside space, especially the pool and hot tub. The lanai space was perfect and full screen coverage kept the bugs and lizards at bay so we could enjoy the outdoors regardless of time. Overall, this was a great property that I would recommend to anyone needing a large house for exploring the Orlando area.
Just returned from a wonderful week at this lovely home! There were eight of us that included two children (6 & 4). Everyone loved the pool and outside area, especially the little ones. The guys really enjoyed the dock for fishing and nature watching. The ladies enjoyed the comfort and many features of the house which is beautifully decorated yet still inviting and relaxing. The kitchen was their favorite place for whipping up our delicious meals. We felt somewhat secluded yet close enough to everything. We traveled to Disney World several times with no problem. Whatever we needed was close by and convenient. All in all a great vacation enjoyed by everyone!
This house is quite simply: AWESOME! It's very close to all the attractions in Orlando but far enough away from the crowds to feel like a quiet get away. We visited Universal Studios several times, Wet n' Wild waterpark once and even drove over to Tampa (only about a 90 minute drive) and visited Busch Gardens. The house is very clean with everything you could want in a rental. The pool area is awesome. We spent a lot of time sitting around the pool enjoying the sun while the teenagers swam. And the master bathroom shower? Well, you just have to see that one to believe it! We've stayed in several VRBO properties and this was one of the best. Patty was very easy to work with and she responded to all my questions very quickly. We even had a minor problem with the air conditioning while we were there and she had it fixed immediately. I would recommend this house to anyone interested in the Kissimmee/Orlando area. (in fact, we are hoping my cousins book it for a stay!) You will not be disappointed!
