Located between Midtown and the West Village, Chelsea offers good public transportation and proximity to the Midtown office district as well as the many attractions of downtown. The neighborhood is full of surprises as a result of a confluence of changing development patterns.
A melting pot of people can be found in Chelsea and the area’s architecture reflects that same diversity. The area above 23rd Street by the Hudson River is post-industrial, featuring the newly-opened High Line Park. To the south, between Ninth and Tenth avenues, mid-nineteenth century townhouses stand, some restored to single-family use. The white-tile portholed National Maritime Union Building—now the chic Maritime hotel—is a notable landmark. Another converted neighborhood relic is the Episcopal Church of the Holy Communion that once was home to the infamous Limelight Disco.
In the 1990’s the neighborhood saw an influx of art galleries seeking less expensive space than was available in SoHo. In one of the most rapid transformations in the city’s history, the neighborhood has become one of the world's centers of modern contemporary art, with over 370 art galleries.
Chelsea Piers, a major waterfront recreational facility, reintroduced many New Yorkers to the area. The Ninth Avenue food mecca, better known as The Chelsea Market, boasts an impressive collection of gourmet food stores and restaurants, and the zone extending south of 14th Street—known as the Meat-Packing District—is one of the city’s busiest nightlife centers.

What what Amazing Place Steve arranged for us. It was everything as described and more what added to the experience was Steve and his people with an effortless check in and check out procedure we will be back !!!!
Our family of 7, comprising 3 couples and an 18 month old baby, had a very enjoyable 10 day stay in this well located spacious apartment. It was well furnished, beds were very comfortable and sound proof even though we were in a busy area. There is a great Fairway supermarket just a block away and walking distance to many attractions like Times Square, Empire State Building, Penn Station & Madison Square Garden to name a few. We even managed to walk to Greenwich and Pier 83 (start of Circle Line cruises) despite temp in the high 80's. Central Park and the upper west side were easily accessible by subway.
Even though the property is advertised as a 4 Br apartment, bear in mind the 4th Br is more like a media room with no windows. It has an AC which was very loud and whilst we had intended to use it as baby's room, that didn't work because of the noise. The AC in the front Br was also not functioning but comfortable enough with a fan.
The building itself is not in a flash neighbourhood but access and security into the apartment was very secure & we felt safe at all times.
We would like to thank Steve and his team for excellent service right through the booking process to checking out. Emails were always answered punctually, babycot and high chair were provided as requested and there was total flexibility in check in/checkout times, subject to occupancy. A small suggestion - perhaps a few more basic kitchen utensils (potato peeler, wooden spoons, tongs & servers), cling film, foil & more cleaning aids (sponges, cloth, tea towels) can be provided, especially for families with young ones.
The pictures cannot show how wonderful this apartment really is. Our family was able to spread out, yet enjoy our vacation together. Everything was immaculate and the kitchen was well stocked. One block from subway, short walk to Empire State building. Could not have asked more from customer service from beginning to end. All in all a very rare treat that far exceeded our expectations. Thank you to job well done in every way.
This condo was spacious, comfortable, clean and well appointed with working washer/dryer/dishwasher, useful pots and pans and plenty of clean linens. The location was convenient half a block from the R and N subway and 2 blocks from the 1, making it easy to get anywhere in Manhattan quickly and conveniently. There are some great nearby lunch spots like Num Pang and The Little Beet. There are several supermarkets within walking distance including Trader Joes and Whole Foods. There was a noise disturbance the first night but our contact, Steve, was immediately responsive to our concerns and it never happened again. Be aware there are only 2 bathrooms shared between 4 bedrooms. One is accessible only through the master bedroom and the other has a shower, no bath. Also, one of the small bedrooms has the main HVAC outflow and gets intermittently loud at night from the AC motor turning on. The front bedroom is also right on the street at the 3rd floor up so if you are a light sleeper, that might be an issue. These small points are the reason for 4, not 5 stars but overall, this condo was an excellent value for the price, location and amenities. I would definitely stay here again.
The apartment is in a great location for all the sightseeing a visitor needs. It's a miles walk to Times Square which goes by super fast when walking through the city. There are two subway train entrances on either end of the street and the subway was so easy and fast to get around with. People in New York are so very kind and super helpful when you need help to make sure you are going the right way on the street and on the subway. The view from the apartment front windows is of the flower district which in the morning is streets filled with flowers and plants. Down the street and around the corner is a deli/market that we loved every part of the day for anything you could want; smoothies bakery items, salad, bagels, sandwiches and a breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet that's amazing. We had 3 adults and 5 teenagers in our group so the bathroom was always busy but the two worked well for us. The hot water ran out after 5 or 6 showers but teenagers take long showers. All in all clean & super comfy beds. Loved it.
There were 8 of us for 4 nights over Memorial Day weekend and the apartment was just as advertised. Customer service was excellent and very professional. We were met at the door with the keys at the appointed hour, and the management was very responsive when there was a problem with the air conditioning. Would certainly recommend it.
