Need a place to crash in Tucson for a few days…a week…or more without spending too much bread? We have the perfect place!

The 60’s Groovy Pad looks like it’s from the 60’s but it’s actually all newly remodeled. You can’t help but smile the instant you come through the door. You will be greeted by beautifully coordinated colors and designs that will take you back a half century. You’ll be thinking, “Man, this is righteous!” You’ll also receive a complimentary snack and wine.

The living room is furnished with cool and comfortable furniture, 52” HDTV with DVR and HD channels, high speed Internet, and Blu-ray player. Family friendly movies, games and puzzles are included.

Fully equipped kitchen includes special ordered “boomerang” counter-tops that are really far out. It also includes brand new appliances and everything else you need to prepare a gourmet meal.

The master bedroom has a queen size bed with memory foam mattress, ceiling fan, TV and large walk-in closet.

The second bedroom has 2 twin beds (convertible to a king bed) with memory foam mattresses, ceiling fan, and is stocked with toys for the kids.

Also included is central AC, a carport space, and coin operated washer and dryer.

The property includes large grassy areas with shade trees, two pools, and is situated close to major shopping, golf, over 20 restaurants within a mile radius, and other activities.

We want to welcome adults that are looking for comfortable luxury and families that are looking for somewhere fun and comfortable. Our first time using non-hotel accommodations in Tucson was great, thanks to Amber's "Groovy Pad". The place was spotlessly clean, beds were so comfortable, lots of fluffy towels, kitchen essentials provided, location was great for everything from shopping to eateries. The upstairs/downstairs arrangement was ideal. Everything we needed, with lots of charming touches. We'll be back again--already booked!

Major attention to detail

This place is great. Amber, the owner, takes great pride in making sure you feel at home. We were greeted by a note from her welcoming us to the condo, along with a bottle of wine and some snacks. She has also covered all of the bases to make sure you have a nice time. The condo had a stock of paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, K-cups, etc so that you did not have to spend the first day of your vacation stocking up on these basics. There were plenty of towels to use and the condo could not have been any cleaner. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans and the master also has it's own TV. Throughout the entire process, Amber was awesome. We traded emails about good places to eat and visit and her recommendations were also included in a binder that he has in the condo. The location of the condo is great with east access to tons of restaurants, Saguaro National Park (East district) Mt. Lemmon and the Santa Catalina range. One thing I will mention is that the condo is not located in an area where you feel like you are among other travelers. It is located in a regular, middle-class neighborhood. You will be staying among the locals, which is what we like. If you are someone looking for more of a resort condo feel, where you are among mostly other travelers, this might not be your place, but if you are looking for a more authentic, local experience, this is a great place. The neighbors were all friendly and we could not hear any noise coming from the other condo units. We had a great stay and if VRBO or Homeaway are looking for someone to write the book about how to run a successful rental, Amber is your person. No stone was left unturned in making us feel comfortable.

Area recos:

- Mt Lemmon - plan on taking an entire day to drive to the top, stopping along the way. It is amazing.

- Saguaro National Park - he east side is larger and flatter and the west side has more elevation change. Both sides are worth visiting.

- Arizona-Desert Museum - really cool mix of a museum, botanical garden and zoo. Stop at the the top Gates Pass on your way for a short hike and great views

- Poco & Mama's Restaurant - great SW and Mexican food

- Zinburger - really cool place to grab a burger, beer and milkshake

- Saguaro Cafe - 500 ft down the road from the east-side visitor center of Saguaro NP. Best meal I had all week (Mahi tacos)

- Summt Gear - great store (on Speedway) to grab hiking supplies, clothes, etc.

- 4th Street - cool shopping

We really enjoyed the groovy pad! It was clean and had all the amenities to be very comfortable. Amber really went the distance to make us feel welcome. I would definitely stay again!

Everything you could want in a lovely clean, comfortable and well equipped property

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in July. The property was spotless with consideration for our every need. From a personalised welcome note and tray of goodies (for both adults and children), to the sleeping arrangements to accommodate our three children, they really had all the bases covered. The children loved the selection of DVDs that were available and we both made great use of the suggestions of places to visit and places to eat - none of which disappointed! LeBuzz café and Zona were two eateries we tried and loved. We also visited the Museum of the Horse Soldier very nearby where the proprietor was very friendly and made the visit very memorable. We made use of the pool, just a short stroll away, in the mornings before the heat was too much and then returned to the welcome cool inside. The laundry facilities worked great - just as described. All in all a very comfortable home from home that I would recommend. Lovely accommodation and hugely thoughtful customer service. Thank you!

Very comfortable place to stay.

We stayed for nine days and felt comfortable the whole time. Easy access to Sabino Canyon and Ventana hiking trails. Excellent restaurants close to the Town-home.

Great location

We really liked to walk for meals and this location was superb!

Walks along the river washes were convenient and good for birdwatching.

The décor of this apartment was excellent. It was decorated ala the singers of the '60s and '70s.

The washer and dryer were convenient and the cost was like in the Laundromats.

The one disadvantage was only one bathroom.
