The views are spectacular and with the ocean only 20' away from your private Lanai's you need to be prepare to be put to sleep by the sound of ocean. This three bedroom three and a half bath home has everything you will need to enjoy your vacation here in beautiful Kailua Kona. The Master bedroom has an awesome view out towards the point of lymans a very popular surfing spot for locals and visitors. Second bedroom upstairs has a queen bed with views out towards the Great Pacific. Downstairs you have bedroom #3 also with a queen murphy bed and this bedroom comes with it's own private Lanai. The living room area is equipped with a 60' flat screen and surround sound for enjoying cozy romantic evenings. The modern kitchen with glass top cook top sub-zero fridge microwave and granite top counters makes cooking dinner a pleasure. The list goes on you must see it to believe what a great vacation home this would be for you and friends, family or just a romantic get away. This home is also Ideal for small weddings since the back yard is your beach. Don't pay for an expensive hotel wedding when this home has all you need (Event Fee is $1,150 + taxes for up to 30 people).

About Julie Bernal or Pasqual Bernal

We are the owner operators of two vacation rentals here in Kona. I moved here in 2004 from Fresno California where I was born and raised. It's sort of a no brainer Fresno/ Hawaii. My wife is an island girl originally from Maui. We own the largest fitness gym in Kailua Kona since 2006. Kona is a great community of people and we are certain that you will enjoy staying in the center of this very culturally diversified community.

Your house was amazing for us. The condition of the house and of course its proximity to the bay was excellent. The facilities and amenities worked very well for us.

We only know of two problems. One was the fan on the lanai. It smelled like it was going to burn up so we shut it off and left a note. The other was pillows in the lower bedroom. They need to be replaced have an odor to them. That's all we can think of to help the next guests.

We could have used the A/C, but apparently it's not for guests?

Owner's Response: Thank you for choosing our home and I am glad you informed me of the ceiling fans. They have since been replaced. The pillows I will have looked at or smelled immediately. Lol no but seriously I we look into the matter and again thank you for informing me of this matter.

I stayed at this property with 4 members of my family. The home and view were so great, my sister in law did not want to leave. Everyone owes themselves some time in a home like this. The online pictures do not do it justice.

The best location!

We loved our stay here. Perfect location, quiet, secure and very clean home. Close to everything we did for the past week but without the crowds. The ocean is right outside your front door and is breathtakingly peaceful. Thank you for sharing your fabulous home.

Our family of 5 (kids 13,11,8) visited the Big Island in April, and split up our stay between this house and the Hilton Waikoloa Village. After having flight issues getting out to the island, and having to rearrange some of our nights, the owners were extremely easy to work with and accomodating when we needed to add one additional night at their house. As others have said, the views are breathtaking....coffee on the back lawn watching the surfers in the distance every morning is something I will never forget. It is a haul from South Carolina to Hawaii, but absolutely worth it. It was, w/out question, the best vacation our family has ever taken. The house is perfect and again, the owners couldn't have been better to work with. I highly recommend this house (and Da Poke Shack!!) if you are headed to the Big Island!!

Gorgeous Home on Turtle Bay!

My family of four (two little guys, ages 4 and 7, my husband and I) along with grandpa and sister-in-law stayed here for a week in March for a family vacation in Kona. The house is just as nice as it looks in the photos - the ocean really is that close and SO blue and beautiful. The sound of the waves crashing is so relaxing and really got us into the island vibe quickly. Ali'i Drive is a really cool strip with lots of walkers and joggers every day, and many locals come to the little bay beach to fish, launch outriggers, or to paddle out to a surf spot that is just around the corner. We thought that was fun to watch and it wasn't intrusive at all - just a neat part of Hawaii. There are a lot of turtles that live in the cove (maybe my favorite part about staying here, I spent a lot of time observing them), and from the lawn out back, we also saw eels, tons of fish, and on our last day, manta rays! Sitting on the lanai for every meal and on the lawn for morning coffee/afternoon cocktails was a highlight of the stay. We grilled most nights and ate at home just about every evening. I highly recommend grabbing some poke from Da Poke Shack (just up the street) and watching the ocean while you stuff your face with amazing ahi :-) The kitchen is well-equipped and lovely, and having en-suite bathrooms for each bedroom was a really nice thing when traveling with other families. We slept upstairs in the master and made a nest bed on the floor for the kids - the bedroom is huge - and that worked well. This was our first trip to the Big Island, and I felt happy about where we chose to stay, geographically. It just gets prettier the further south you get from Kailua-Kona town, and the house is in a sweet little spot.

I had a bit of difficulty with communicating with the owner in the week leading up to our trip and I got nervous, but everything turned out perfect and we had a fantastic trip. If you are planning a multi-family trip, this is a great house to consider! If you have small kids (younger than 4, perhaps), this might not be the right place. My kids were just old enough to not wander off or worry about on the stairs, near water, around nice things, so I felt safe, but I might not have a year ago. On the whole, we were so happy with our stay and would definitely recommend staying here. I'd love to come back!
