Welcome Home. We have been renting our beach house for five years now. We have been fortunate to have steady renters that return year after year. Our unit is a two bedroom 1.5 bath townhouse on beautiful Flagler Beach. The unit sleeps 4 and has four balconies, two of which overlook the Atlantic Ocean. Whether its the great sunrises, sunsets or going to sleep to the sound of the ocean waves its a refreshing way to unwind and connect with nature.
With floor to ceiling glass sliding doors , you get great ocean views from the master bedroom, living, dining and kitchen.
Our unit includes covered parking, swimming pool, wireless internet, cable, HD TV and all the creature comforts of being home like washer dryer and clean new linens. We stay here as often as we can, so we provide an environment that feels like home and not just a generic rental property.
I found this property after our "go-to" beach condo basically lost its beach after a hurricane last year. We needed at least two bedrooms (we have two kids - 9 and 10), and the option to bring our dog was a huge plus. I was also looking for a place that was an easy walk to the beach, had a pool, and preferably, some areas to do some family bicycling. Throw in the fact that it was in our budget, and this placed checked off all the boxes.
The unit has two roomy bedrooms with king beds, a full bath upstairs, and a half bath on the main level. My family of four had plenty of room to spread out. We especially enjoyed the ocean view balconies, where we chilled out in the evening shade. The covered parking was a really nice bonus, as it was raining when we arrived. The unit, while not technically on the beach, is about as close as you can get. You have to walk out the front door, across A1A, down the stairs, and you're in the sand. We found the beach to be very relaxing. It got a little more crowded on the weekends, but I would describe even the busiest day as "sparsely populated".
The kitchen is a nice size, and is equipped with most of the things you'd need for cooking and eating in. There is a grill on the kitchen balcony, but, owing to the space restrictions, it is a compact one. I grilled four hamburgers pretty easily, but a couple more would be really pushing it. We didn't watch much TV, but there is a nice size flat screen with a DVD player and cable. I hooked my Apple TV to it, and we watched a movie on Netflix. The WiFi access was easy to hook up to, and more than adequate for streaming a movie.
In addition to enjoying the wonderful beach, there was easy access to some nice local eateries, some great state parks, and it was a short drive to St Augustine. There is a farmer's market on Friday and Saturdays, with fresh produce and crafts, and if seafood is your thing, there are several nearby places that have both local and out of town catches for you. The Flagler Fish Company supplied our shrimp for the week. While there are some chain businesses with easy access (CVS, Publix, McDonalds, etc), the beach itself has mostly independent businesses, which was a nice getaway. We had some good eats at the Burrito Works Taco Shop and the Turtle Shack, and ate way too much ice cream at the Waffle Cone. Two thumbs up on this rental!
We quite enjoyed the month of February staying in Flagler Beach. The views of the ocean from the 2 balconies off the living area and master bedroom were lovely to look at, and changed daily with the weather. The kitchen was fully equipped and the outside BBQ was a bonus. The bedrooms are large and nicely decorated. There is plenty of room to store clothes, suitcases, etc. The tile floors in the main level are cold on the feet, so bring warm slippers. It's easy to feel at home and comfortable in this beach house, with plenty of funky restaurants within walking distance.
Just finished our 3rd year in a row spending January in Henry's townhome in Flagler. Gets better and better every year. Henry is working on updating every single part of the condo. Every year when we return we look forward to what changes he has made from the previous year. We will be returning again in October for 6 weeks and then again for our yearly January visit in 2017.
My wife and I stayed at this wonderful apartment for a week. Everything about the apartment was perfect and exactly like the very helpful owner Henry advertises.
The rooms were spacious, the kitchen had everything you need, everything was well maintained and very clean. The views of the sun rise from both the balconies were stunning and the pool area is perfect for relaxing at any time of the day.
The town of Flagler Beach has everything you need, there are no big chain restaurants but the Funky Pilican, Beachfront Winery and many other bars and restaurants that are within walking distance from the apartment more than make up for that and give the whole town a more authentic feel.
A short drive from Flagler Beach takes you to the historic city of St Augustine. If you come to this area a day exploring this beautiful city is an absolute must.
We were very happy with the condo. It has everything you would need including an outside grill and washer and dryer. It was very clean .The view from the master suite was beautiful. The owner was more than accommodating and we would recommend this property. Everything is very close like restaurants. Flagler Beach is a quiet and restful place and directly across the street.
