Featured on HGTV, Abby's Guesthouse + Pool is one of Fredericksburg's best. Decorated by the buyer for one of the state's chicest vintage-modern home decor stores, Abby's melds the French seaside with modern and vintage design for the perfect calming getaway for two. Just one block off of Main Street in Fredericksburg's Historic District, Abby's offers a luxurious king sized bed, a shower for two and your own living room suite complete with a romantic fireplace. Abby's kitchenette is equipped with a coffee maker microwave, small refrigerator, dishware, coffee supplies and a table for two. Relax on Abby's ample front porch with fresh peaches or local wine you might purchase while in Fredericksburg. Abby's pool and lounge chairs are yours for days of lounging and revitalizing.
Whether you are in Fredericksburg to enjoy a wine tour or tasting, to shop Main Street, climb Enchanted Rock or just get away from it all beside a quiet pool, Abby's is the perfect place to put your feet up and let your mind wander. There are bike shops in the area, if you have an itch for adventure. If you're looking for revitalization, there are spas, as well as yoga and pilate offerings that I would be happy to recommend.

Whether you're in town on a girl's weekend, looking for time alone to relax, or planning a romantic getaway, Abby's is just one block off of main and just a few minutes from the best restaurants and shops in Fredericksburg. Make yourself a home away from home at Abby's: the cottage + pool are ready to welcome you!
An interior design lover at heart, I am the buyer for red: modern lines . vintage finds, on Main Street in Fredericksburg. I am the mother of two girls, now grown women, who are my delight and I spend most of my days looking for the best in modern and vintage home decor. Abby's is inspired by a trip I took with my daughters to Southern France in 1998 - I brought back a love for cool calming colors and seaside inspiration with a vintage-modern twist. I hope you enjoy Abby's as much as I have!
Carolyn Moore purchased this cottage in 1992
I was drawn to Fredericksburg after my parents purchased a home from the town's early founding. After tiring of cold winters in the Midwest, the charm of Fredericksburg, the sunny days and beautiful green Hill Country won me over. I decided to move to the area with my girls and work on a home of my own.
The blue bonnets and wildflowers each spring, coupled with fresh peaches from the local orchards and now the emerging wine country make this a beautiful place to live. Octoberfest and other seasonal festivals bring life to this small town, as does our vibrant Main Street. One hour from both Austin and San Antonio, I can hop in the car whenever I need to feel the city. For so many reasons, I feel lucky to call Fredericksburg home.
When I bought my home, right next door to Abby's, I was charmed by the surrounding homes and the proximity to the heart of Fredericksburg. Many of the homes around Abby's were built over 100 years ago, and my dear neighbors are constantly gardening and maintaining them. Once I fell in love with the ample porch and vintage feel of my home, I immediately started to renovate - adding a pool in the backyard as soon as the spring came and building the limestone cabin that is now Abby's to share with friends and guests alike. I hope you'll make it your home away from home - a respite any time you want to get away from it all.
House was great with plenty of room for 2. Separate bedroom from living room was a plus. Shower is awesome. Why no 5 star was bed. For my wife and me, bed was too hard and hurt 1st night. We slept on comforter which helped alot.
Excellent choice for attending a wedding in Fredericksburg about five blocks from city center. Has a living area, kitchen, and master suite with large bath--shower only. Large pool behind this back house of the owner's main house would have been nice in the summer--weather didn't cooperate on this trip. Definitely worth the price.
Abby's house is very comfortable and spacious, with extra features such as a very large bedroom, super comfy king sized bed, and large walk in shower. It is within walking distance of shops and restaurants on main street, and it's a nice walk whether you take the main sidewalk, or walk through the lovely neighborhood instead.
I would recommend Abby's Guesthouse to anyone wanting a quiet place off the beaten path, but still within walking distance of the main attractions.
Abby house was quaint and quiet. Walking distance to Main Street but far enough away to allow for quiet evenings.
Abby's provides a relaxing home-like atmosphere. The pool added so much relaxation for the both of us. You will not be disappointed!
What and wonderful house. Was very warm so the pool was great and well kept. Down town was a short drive away. The pearl harbor museum is a must. Thank you Abby House for a great 25th anniversary! Alan and Kelley
