Sea Grape is one of five units at Casas de la Playa Central located in the heart of Flagler Beach; one half-block from the beach, and within walking distance of most places in this quaint beach community. This one-bedroom one-bath unit has been recently converted to vacation rental and has been available since February 2015. Walk to restaurants, bars, the post office, the Pier and most shops, and galleries, as well to the farmers market.
My partner and I fell in love with Flagler Beach over 30 years ago, and bought this property 1n 2003 while we were both teaching in Gainesville, FL. We have been remodeling this five cottage complex over the past year and have three units ready for vacation rental now in this complex and two units elsewhere in Flagler Beach. We have been offering vacation rentals in Flagler Beach since 2001. We now live in Miami Springs, and plan to retire in Flagler Beach in the future. This cottage is one of five in a complex of a duplex and a triplex. It is centrally located with the beach a short half block away; and most restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance. This unit is one block from Moody Blvd, the main street in Flagler Beach, and two blocks to the famous Flagler Beach Pier.
We spent over a month at this wonderful location. The beach is so close you hear the waves during the night. Everything seems to be within walking distance - the pier, the church, the market, and many restaurants. We loved the Golden Lion just three or four blocks north. We enjoyed sitting in the front porch, watching people walk by or listening to the music from Finn's while protected by vegetation that makes your front patio pretty private. We are already planning on coming back to the place.
Close to downtown public beach but no ocean view and you need to walk 8 blocks to enter the pet friendly section of the beach. Well appointed but better suited for short stays since there is no washer/dryer. Great coffee/donut shop 1/ 2 block away. Almost next door to Finn's, the " bikers welcome " bar with outdoor live music.
Great cottage and wonderful surroundings. We love our stay and been able to walk to the beach and to restaurants, and bars. It was a very relaxing stay - and great not to have to drive anywhere. The produce market, just a block away was a great addition to our enjoyment of this comfortable place.
We invaded Flagler Beach on July 30 and stayed thru August 6, 2016. Seven adults and 5 children stayed at the Casa de la Playa – Central compound. We rented the four units, Sea Grape, Hibiscus, Sea Oats and Las Palmas. The compound is close to everything you need. The beach is one block away, downtown Flagler is within a couple of blocks and ice cream shops for the kids.
The Casa de la Playa- Central compound worked out great for everyone. There was plenty of space outside to relax at night and grill out. The units were extremely clean, comfortable and cool. The one minor issue we had was solved immediately by their maintenance team. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and look forward to next summer and doing it all over again!!

Within walking distance of restaurants, shops, bars, churches, tattoo parlors, and produce market. The Intracoastal waterway is a few blocks away.
