Excerpt from the official Little Italy website:
'This charming, cozy neighborhood located in the heart of downtown Baltimore is an important cultural and ethnic icon for the city. Nestled between the Inner Harbor and historic Fells Point, millions of people annually visit Little Italy to dine at its almost 30 restaurants, watch outdoor movies, participate in bocce tournaments, attend Italian festivals, worship at its Italian parish, partake in Italian language and cultural classes, attend ravioli dinners, go to the Sons of Italy lodge, or simply stroll through the friendly narrow streets to experience a bit of the sapore and ambiente of the old country, Italia.
Located near other quaint Baltimore neighborhoods like Canton, Federal Hill, Fells Point and Harbor East, Little Italy is reachable by car, water taxi, subway, and just a short walk from the Inner Harbor.'

Well, here's a little about me. . . .I'm married to the best guy on the planet-Cerphe (pronounced Surf) and we have a feline child-Poncey. I'm a real estate investor and with my fantastic partners, I'm buying and renovating amazing properties in Baltimore. I also host a travel show on Music Planet Radio called TravelGal. (Please check it out!) :-)
I love to stay in Home Away and VRBO properties when I travel and I take great care in making our properties cozy, charming and lovely to be in. I also try to think of everything I'd want to make my stay enjoyable and then I include it for our guests!
Susan Colwell purchased this house in 2014
In 2013, two very dear friends of mine and I fell in love with an enchanting row house in Baltimore's Little Italy. I daydreamed about it, walked around the neighborhood and discovered wonderful Italian restaurants, an amazing bakery, the cutest wine bar ever, the waterfront promenade and on and on! Each time I turned a corner there was more. Then!!!! Just when I thought it couldn't get any better--I discovered a Starbucks, Whole Foods, movie theater and incredible shopping along the Inner Harbor only two blocks away!
So my dear friends and I bought that cutie-pie house and turned it into an elegant corporate and family retreat /super-cool pied a terre (Little Italy Charmer). A year later, this home came on the market and we knew we had to have it, too--So Little Italy Charmer, Too! was born.
This is such a WONDERFUL area of Baltimore. It's like stepping back in time. The neighborhood is charming, safe and lovely— chock full of wonderful Italian restaurants, even a cozy little wine bar and popular bakery. There are tons of festivals and events in this neighborhood and in the summer time, they even play an outdoor movie (Friday nights) and all the neighbors bring their lawn chairs. It's just magical.
Like Little Italy Charmer-two doors down--this property was built in 1850 and is so charming and cozy that it makes you want to burrow in, read a book or watch movies and unwind. But with all the shopping, dining and the Inner Harbor only steps away, the city draws you out. I also paid close attention to the comfort of the beds and house amenities like coffee, tea, sugar, hand soap, etc. All the little extras that make a home away from home feel functional and homey. I hope you enjoy what we've done!
All the details and pictures listed are spot on.We were in town for a family wedding and we were able to sleep 9 comfortably. The house is big, clean and the outdoor area is plenty, although it was cold when we were there. The location could not have been any better. You are a 5 min walk to the Aquarium and the Inner Harbor with many choices of dinning out. There is even a Whole Foods, CVS & Starbucks 1 block behind the property which made it convenient to pick up supplies, since we were staying for a whole week. Susan/Marcia could not have been more attentive and responsive during our stay. This was my first time using Home Away and they both made the process very easy.
This is a fabulous house to rent! The location, just a couple of blocks from the harbor, is a perfect place to perch for a visit to Baltimore. The house is beautifully renovated, with lots of space for people to spread out. There is a ground floor patio off the dining room/ kitchen. There is also a lovely roof deck off the top floor bedroom. If people need a break, the bedrooms are super comfy and a good place to hang out. Around the corner from the house is a Whole Foods and a Starbucks. Cafe Gia across the street is a lovely Italian restaurant! Fells Point is a 10 minute car ride, as is the Visionary Arts Museum. The water taxi is a short 3 block walk from the house! I will totally be renting this house again!
Enjoyed our stay. Very convenient to downtown, were able to walk to most locations. Home was very nice, great kitchen. Heat was a little tricky but owner responded quickly with recommendations.
The description is spot on. Great restaurant right across the street. An easy walk to the Inner Harbor. The property is beautiful, clean and fully renovated. The owners descriptions, parking and restaurant recommendations, directions to nearby amenities - everything - are very accurate. One of the best property summaries I have ever seen.
We just want to Thank You for an amazing weekend. We came down from Philadelphia for my sister's last hoorah before she gets married. Both the houses have the correct title because they are equally "Charming!" The location is absolutely perfect for enjoying a weekend at the Inner Harbor. Susan and her assistant Marcia were timely in responding and very professional. Check in and check out were a breeze and the parking is very affordable. Overall, it was a great experience. Will definitely rent again if staying here in Baltimore. Thanks you.
We are only 2 blocks from the Inner Harbor--Presidents Street side. To reach the inner harbor, simply head west toward President’s St. cross President’s St. and walk along the waterfront promenade. This is also a prettier walk to the Baltimore Convention Center (Google maps will take you along congested major roads.)
We are also 4 blocks to the harbor on the other side-called the Promenade side. 2 blocks to shopping at the Inner Harbor, waterfront promenade, Power Plant, Phillips Seafood, Baltimore Water Taxi, Starbucks, Whole Foods, CVS and tons of dining choices, cute bars, bakeries & more! 15 minute walk past great bars, restaurants and attractions to the Baltimore Convention Center.
