We're a close knit family of down home Washingtonians. The Kindred Moss Cottage has been our family's home-away-from-home for decades, and many of our most precious memories have been spent there. From days at the beach to fireplace marshmallow roasts to long bike rides around Highland Beach, Kindred Moss Cottage has been our favorite secret getaway destination. Together, we decided to quit hogging the place all to ourselves and let others enjoy our magical space. We all worked very hard to renovate Kindred Moss, and prepare for her debut. We know you'll love this home almost as much as we do!
Kindred Moss Cottage has been in our family for three generations. We have cared for this property with great pleasure, and have enjoyed many memories there. The cottage was my grandmother's favorite place in the whole world, and she always had such great taste. One thing she loved to do was to sit on the porch and put together 1000 piece puzzles while listening to the local Classical Music radio station. We're so happy to have been able to remodel the space because I know she would have wanted us to share it with you!
One of the best things about KMC is that it is a part of the Highland Beach community, which has its own security staff that protect the neighborhood. It gives the area added security, which we always enjoyed. Personally, I love the hardwood floors and open feel of the space. The original artwork also adds a nice touch. The cottage has new appliances, paint, beds, etc. but still holds on to a very classic, traditional feel.
This is a very cozy very nice house. We enjoyed it very much. It had a wonderful mix of old and new which made it really fun to stay in. Thanks for the gift bag full of goodies when we got there.
The property was excellent. The kitchen was well stocked, Claudia was VERY prompt at returning my emails/messages when I needed anything and very courteous to make sure we didn't have any issues with checking in or checking out. Cute, safe neighborhood and easy to get to downtown via car/uber. Would definitely recommend for a getaway.
Our stay at the Kindred Moss was wonderful. It was very spacious for 6 adults. Everything was clean and comfortable. We spent time on the beach which was a five minute walk. Claudia was very responsive and was able to be reached by the phone at any time.
Kindred Moss is a vacation cottage that surpassed our expectations! Its front porch is a cozy, well-screened spot to read, to chat and to watch passersby. (My son spotted deer.)
Inside of the cottage was very clean and I loved the wooden floors and original artwork. Both floors had clean bathrooms with showers.
Daily, our group of four had the choice of either sitting low at a table in the dining area or sitting high on the counter stools for our meals. We usually ate in and we found plenty of cooking utensils, pots and pans. The fridge was well stocked with basics and had adequate room for all of our purchased food items. (A large food store is near.)
Claudia provided plenty of pillows and blankets for the comfortable beds in the three bedrooms.
Kindred Moss is in a friendly historic community where safely my mother strolled slowly and my son rode his bike.
Claudia provided a very nice welcome packet with snacks and information.
Our family planned a vacation to MD for some rest, crabs and an O's game. We found Kindred Moss Cottage to be the perfect spot to enjoy our week. The house is located in a wonderful little community with a beach and a lot of history. The views from the beach were spectacular at sunrise and sunset. The neighborhood is settled and friendly. A few of the neighbors spoke to us and welcomed our stay. The house is quaint but easily accommodated our five adults. The house is clean and the kitchen recently remodeled with a great stove and oven for cooking. The house has a lot of charm and a big yard. The best part of the stay was the communication by Claudia in making sure we were settled in and had no questions. There was even a nice gift basket waiting for us, classy! I would definitely recommend this property for others and look forward to a future stay.
Me and my friends had a wonderful weekend. The place was just what the website showed. The goodies were there and Anoa addressed our concerns. We loved the beach only steps away. The people we ran into very nice. We got chance to visit the Baltimore Harbor. I would surely recommend this place
