We are a semi-retired couple in our early 60's. We are both 5th generation Utahn's and love this area of the United States. We built this home ourselves about 13 years ago, and included this "mother-in-law" apartment for a variety of reasons. We have enjoyed meeting people from all over the world and are so happy they can come and enjoy this beautiful state. This apartment may be needed for care of an elderly parent, should their spouse pass away. WE HAVE A 60 DAY CANCELLATION OPTION SHOULD WE NEED THE APARTMENT FOR AN ELDERLY PARENT. We will not cancel your reservation within 60 days. (90 days for Jan-Feb-Mar of 2019)

Please do not rent this property if you have extreme CAT ALLERGIES, or if you hate dogs! We have a cat and a naughty Jack Russell Puppy. Neither ever go in the apartment, but they do live on our side in the house. We built this lovely apartment for out of town guests, perhaps a parent needing care, or perhaps for our own private nurse should we need it someday. This is a 'mother-in-law' apartment that is physically connected to our house. It is separated by 2 solid core doors and a stairwell, so it is very private, but if both parties are in both kitchens you will hear some muffled noise. The lot is a corner lot, where our home faces west and the apartment faces North. This apartment has it's own large driveway, garage and private entrance. We also have a home theater over our garage, and if the movie being watched is a loud one, you might feel some vibration, however we never watch movies after 10PM.
What makes this Apartment unique
Single car garage, private entrance, large driveway that belongs to only this apartment. (our home has a separate driveway around the corner) Apartment has it's own washer and dryer. The entrance is separate and private from our home. House is on a large corner lot, where our house faces West and the apartment faces North. It is in a quiet lovely neighborhood with lots of mature trees.
No smoking on or anywhere near the property.
We have an old cat.
1 child with 1 or 2 adults is OK.

Absolutely NO SMOKING in or near the property. Please no frequenting of smoke filled places where you will bring that smell back with you. I
100% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date. 50% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
This rental is spotless and so nicely decorated! The binder that the owner has out for guests is full of info on where extra towels and paper toiletries are in the rental and everything else you may need. The rental has a super clean one car garage for your use too! The bed is super comfy and Jennifer was so nice to send me pics and info on the mattress when I inquired about it after we left! The neighborhood is beautiful and so much around and easy to get to! We will definitely stay again!
It was a lovely one bedroom and a bath with living room and kitchen which included everything we needed to have a delightful stay.

Great little place, very quiet
Very nice in-law apartment. Really clean and comfortable. WiFi works well, plenty to watch on TV, too. The private garage is a bonus! Coffee maker is TINY but not a deal-breaker. A bit of a distance to shopping and highways, but it's balanced by such a nice neighborhood that it's not really a complaint.
Thanks for the note on the coffee! You would thing someone would say something before now--haha. It is 2019. We're not coffee drinkers, so it is not on my radar, but I will make it so now.
Address above is actually our address to our house. The address of the apartment would be 1856 E. Spring Lane, but because no address actually exists in city records you can't put that in GPS and have it work. So, put our address on Cottonwood Club Dr. in your GPS, but then you will have to back up and go around the corner and park on the driveway with the single car garage. OR, you can put 1858 E. Spring Lane into GPS---but DON'T GO THERE! That is my next door neighbors house! The apartment looks just like the photo, and you will recognize it when you get there.
