Windsor hills over all is a nice resort, the house was nice, but The game room the pool table is off balance and the Air hockey could use some upgrading. Where to put the trash was very confusing and took us two days to figure out after reading a book. We emailed the owner weeks in advance about pool heat and they never responded. We even called back once we were there to the owner and the property management company, needless to say we were in a house and had a ice cold pool that we NEVER got in and a Ice cold hot tub, we could have saved some money by renting a house with no pool since this one was a complete waste. Beds were comfortable ,house was clean. Kitchen was stocked with bare necessities. We rent lots of vacation properties and a nice starter pack( a roll of paper towels, small dish soap, two dishwasher pods, a few coffee filters, a trash bag) would have been great, especially for people on short stays. Most of the properties we rented in the past either came with a welcome pack or they at least don't throw away the non perishable- non food items ( left over napkins, coffee filters, ect), Our stay over all was just okay mainly due to the pool and not being able to use it.
The home was phenomenal! The beds were very comfortable, home was spacious and offered everything you would want in a home away from home. The only issue we had was the trash was not picked up daily although it was placed on the outside. We informed the customer service representative at the club house who indicated she would send someone that night to pick up the trash, but to no avail. When occupying a 5 bedroom house with several people, trash does mount up rather quickly. We were informed that any trash that could not be placed in he bin outside on the porch had to be placed in a dumpster. However, it was not clear where the dumpster was located and aside from this, I felt as though its a bit much to ask guests tat are paying to rent the home, to locate a dumpster and take out the trash. If this property is being manage, I would think this would be part of their task. I would recommend getting larger bins for temporary residents to use, especially during Christmas. Other than his, everything was well.
The house is conveniently located near parks. It is greatly equipped and easy access in and out of the community. Rooms are spacious however the twin beds are a bit uncomfortable. The pool is certainly a nice feature. Kids had a great time when not being at the park or out and about. The only complains I have are more like cleanliness. For example, in one of the master bedrooms a pillow case has a small stain what it appears to be a blood. The trash can lid was dirty and inside the trash can was a McDonald's bag when we arrived. As a renter I would expect this house to be a bit cleaner. This are minor issues that can be fix. Would I stay here again? Maybe. Other than the issues mentioned above it was a great stay.
My husband and I rented this house in March of 2016 with my mother and our two daughters. We had a great week and were very sad to say goodbye to Windsor Hills. The house itself was beautiful and very clean and the princess bedroom and bathroom were a huge hit for my four-year-old. Both girls had a blast in the pool and my ten-year-old got a kick out of hunting down the small lizards that seem to be everywhere in Florida. We came to Florida for the theme parks but I think we would have been almost as happy just staying in this beautiful home and enjoying everything the community has to offer.
There is one comment I would make to be fair to future renters. It took my husband and I several phone calls and emails to get the rental voucher emailed to us after we had made our final rental payment. We wanted the voucher sent to us a week before we would be arriving at the house because we were starting our vacation a few days earlier, stopping to visit relatives before arriving at Windsor Hills. So it's certainly possible that the voucher might have come on its own before our check-in date. We just wanted everything in order before starting our vacation. It was a little stressful knowing we had paid for everything and not receiving the voucher right away.
That being said, I would not let that stop you from renting this house. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
We were very pleased with the house, it was very nice and we enjoyed our week here! We had 3 couples stay and the only complaint was the upstairs bedrooms were very warm and stuffy at night. We did not use the childrens rooms but the princess room was very adorable. The pool and hottub were very nice and enjoyable and used a lot. There were only a couple washcloths in the whole house and we called the management company and they brought us new ones the next day. I would recommend this house, It is a beautiful house.
What a great vacation. This house was perfect for us. Spacious, clean - I was amazed by the organization in the kitchen. Everything arranged neatly and orderly. I also need to comment on the cleanliness of the bathroom rugs. It looked like they had just been laundered. This is one of my pet peeves in vacation rentals. I usually have to launder the rugs and organize the kitchen before I can relax and enjoy my vacation.
We loved the pool and hot tub and used it every day. Nothing like swimming in February!
While we were there a new high end washer and dryer were delivered making laundry for 10 people very pleasant.
The management company was awesome. They sent someone right over when we couldn't figure out how to work the TVs. I asked them for measuring spoons and they delivered them also.
My grandchildren gave it a seal of approval asking if I could rent this house for them next year. The girls enjoyed the princess room and the boys had the pirates room. I would definitely recommend this house.
