Tons of Room for a Girls Trip!

Five women (including a 78-year-old!) visited NYC from Nov 21-25 and were happily surprised by this great apartment immediately off Union Square. The apartment is even bigger than the pictures show! With five adult women there was plenty of room to spread out; the two full bathrooms were really appreciated for sure. The beds were all really comfortable, and the kitchen well stocked for everything you might need to cook a few easy meals. Full size fridge and stove, as well as dishwasher, microwave and washer/dryer were all real bonuses.

Communication with Lara was easy and straightforward, and instructions about access, check in and out times, directions etc. were excellent. Lara answered all our questions very quickly and thoroughly.

The apartment's location is just great - Gramercy and Union Square are great areas to explore - lots of nice bars and restaurants, as well as plenty of shops if you're into it. The subway is also just around the corner which is perfect as we took it everywhere.

Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was for the following: 1) the apartment could really use a new coat of paint, just to freshen it up. It would really go a long way to improving the already great space. 2) the full clear glass front door was a little unnerving to us - we actually rigged up a blanket over it at night as we felt really exposed, even though the gate outside locks. A blind or curtain would be really great. 3) Similarly, the back windows could have heavier curtains to block out viewing into the apartment. While it's a fenced backyard -( awesome! Too bad it was too cold to use it!) - we still felt a little nervous with the semi-transparent curtain. But these are all just little details that can be easily resolved. Some people may not even think twice about them.

Overall, we were REALLY happy with this huge apartment! Definitely recommend it to others and for sure will book again on our next ladies trip. Thanks Lara for a great time :)

Wonderful stay, loved the location!

Large Apartment in Great Location

We are 2 families with 4 adults, and 3 children and Lara's apartment was perfect. Each of the families had our bathroom, and the outside patio was the icing on the cake, very rare to have in NYC. Each family also had our own living room and TV which was great for those who wanted to stay up later than others. The location is great, and we were surprised at how quiet it was as well. We loved staying here, highly recommended!!

Great large apartment

We had to book last minute after we were unfortunately the victims of fraud on a previous place. I use to live in NYC so this place is huge by NYC standards and you cannot beat the price for the space. The location is awesome and involved only one half fight of stairs which was important to us because we have two small kids (and therefore a stroller). The back deck was an added bonus that we enjoyed sitting and relaxing on in the evening. Lara was super easy to deal with and we will definitely consider renting again on future trips!

Perfect Location Fabulous Layout!!!

I'm always leery of apartment rentals in Manhattan because they are usually either very expensive or very dingy looking with review that talk of smells and dirty linens, or they're out in areas that you need transportation for. So, I rely on my hotel last moment app a lot for nyc, even though I'd rather stay in a big roomy apartment with full kitchen and 2 full baths. So, I took a chance on this one because of the reviews. It was a wonderful surprise! Everything you read is accurate, but seriously! $290 x night for an apartment that can easily sleep 9?? We were a family of 5, and didn't want to ever leave the unbeatable location and cool 2 living room separate bedroom setup. It was so damn quiet at night, I had to turn on a/c just for some white noise! The beds were super comfortable, as was everything about this place. It isn't a basement apartment, but one of those half step under sidewalk places, but no musty or mildewy smell at all!! We were able to access it at 1 am, thanks to the door code, and didn't need any help while we were here. Water pressure perfect, kitchen we used for cooking a few times. Absolutely perfect in every way!!!! And loved the patio for morning coffee. I've rambled on, but when you find a great deal in Manhattan you want to tell the world!!!! Thanks, Lara

Great apartment great location

A great place in a great area.

2 apartments in one , very suited for friends travelling together and not wanting to share beds.

NY hotelrooms very small with hardly twin beds.

This apartment is the best you can get and Lara is always responding quickly.

We certainly will be back !
