Centrally located and extremely convenient to Washington DC Convention Center and the Verizon Center. A short metro ride to all the sites and great local restaurants and nightlife. Georgetown Law School, Howard University, and Catholic University are all within a short commuting distance.
Allows visitors to experience living in the District. Patrons normally save a great deal of money by preparing their meals for breakfast and dinner as opposed to being forced to eat out while staying in crowded or small hotel rooms that charge more that having a self catering full apartment with wifi and cable TV.
We stayed here for 5 nights as a home base for our trip to DC. The apartment was small, but roomy, and set up very well to best utilize the space. It is a basement apartment, but the owner has bright lighting in there, both ceiling and lamps, which really helps. When we first got there, in the middle of July, we were hot and thirsty. I texted the owner about a case of water that we found in the apartment, to see if we could use some of it until we could get to a grocery store, and he told me that he had purchased it for our use. That was a nice touch! We definitely used it! It was also very nice to have the use of the washer and dryer in the apartment. The main bed was very comfy, and the futon was okay to sleep on too. There is also one other bed set up in the apartment.
The condo is a little ways from the National mall, and not walkable from there, but it's very easy to use Uber. There are several restaurants a short walking distance from the apartment, and we loved the little pizza restaurant we found. So yummy!
All in all, the stay was very nice. And the owner is responsive to questions via text or call, and gets back to you quickly.
We are a family of 6, with 3 teenagers! We were a little worried that it would be too small and that we would need to get an air mattress or two... But that was not the case! The bedroom was large enough for all of our luggage and the two full size futons in the livingroom offered enough sleeping space for the kids. The kitchen was compact but had everything you need! The bus stop that takes you to "the mall" is located just steps from the apartment. However we learned quickly that the taxi was only $3 more and Much more convenient. The rest of the week we ordered a taxi to pick us up. We had a cable/ internet issues but Collin was quick to fix them!!! I would recommend this apartment to anyone visiting the DC area.
The neighborhood was great and the apartment was nice. We were able to get to the metro and use it for most of our trip. The location is close to several stores and we felt at ease walking around the area. We had a family of five and the owner provided a great atmosphere for us to feel like we were at home. We communicated well and I'd recommend this place to anyone.
This property is located in a part of Washington DC that allows easy access to all parts of the city. Also, there is a dedicated parking space for this unit, a coveted and rare amenity in this city. There are restaurants within walking distance and the Metro stop is also nearby. There is a washer/dryer in the unit -- another plus. Although this is a basement unit, there are plenty of lights located throughout the unit for reading or any other activities. Additionally, the property owner is very accessible and helpful. I recommend this unit to anyone looking for a great location for a Washington DC vacation.
Booked for a work event and we were the closest to central DC than anyone else attending this event for about half the cost per person of the hotels our colleges stayed in. The house was comfortable for 3 adults, well furnished and well equipped. We'd stay again.
Trendy area in town, lots of restaurants a few local bars (always crowded) and within walking distance to the Green line Metro at Shaw/Howard. If you're looking for livelier areas, a short taxi ride to Logan Circle, Adams Morgan, U Street Corridor (walking distance), Georgetown Law School, Howard University, and Catholic University. Bike share for adventurous bicycle riding tourists. Stay in the heart of DC amongst the Washingtonians, while enjoying the culture and city living. Car share programs such as zip cars and cars to go also available if you need to visit Virginia or Maryland. Visit Washington DC Guest Suite on Facebook and get a better idea of the neighborhood. Also check out the arboretum, library of congress, botanical garden, marina, synagogues, walking, scenic drives, cycling, ice skating, groceries and hospital.
