Newly constructed one level second unit villa with garage in a single family lot. Plenty parking space. One level 2bed/1.5 bath/2 car garage unit with living area surrounded by fruit trees in the lot. Fridge and micro wave provided. Free WI Fi. One of the safest cities in the United States. Walking distance to Live Oak Park in Temple City, businesses, banks, restaurants, and supermarkets. 20 minutes to Universal Studio, 15 minutes to down town Los Angeles. 40 minutes to Disneyland and beach cities such as Santa Monica. 1.5 hour to Mountain high skill resort and 2 hours to Snow Valley in Big Bear. 15 minutes drive to Pasadena old town and 10 minutes to Rose Parade route, Metrolink stations and many many more.

We (family of 4, kids are 17, 12) stayed for 4 nights there. There are pros and cons of staying at this property.

Pros: location was great. Long driveway makes parking easy. Easy to all neighborhood without heavy traffic. Near to I-10 and 210. Many restaurants around to choose from. Two bedrooms are at good size. One and half bathrooms fit our need fine. Nice air conditioning unit but a bit loud though. Ping-pong table in the garage is a bonus. Clean towels were provided. Owner sent some fresh picked fruit at the door.

Cons: this is actually a in-law unit behind the main house. The glass door makes it no privacy at night. (No blinds or covering for the door.) Once the lights on, you can be seen clearly. Especially facing the kitchen windows of the main house. Owner's family stay at home most of time. We saw them in the morning, at noon and the evening. You can imagine.

The bedroom mattresses are TERRIBLE! One was just OLD; one was way too soft and one was hard. My backs was killing me and didn't sleep well at all! They look were retired ones from main house. Investing in a new, comfy mattress would be good. We won't stay there again due to the mattress alone! Bedsheets, blankets were old and mixed styles. Probably also retired by owners usage.

If you plan to cook during your stay, don't come here. Some worn out cookwares/utensils were provided but not usable. Some cups and bowls were ok though. I ended up hot boil eggs instead of making sunny-side up. Also there were a few very greasing pans left in the dish drying rack. Probably from previous guests. They did not clean well after each staying. Some hair and bugs were seen on the floor in every room when we first checked in. I would suggest they change their cleaning maid. She didn't do her job.

Overall, if you just want to find a place to sleep at night, it is a ok place. But for your vacation to relax or more time stay indoors, definitely look somewhere else.

Owner's Response: The guests came before check in time while cleaning crew still cleaning. We check the cleaning work before guests check in everything time to make sure everything are cleaned. . We don't have chance to check her work because guest came way earlier. The other assessments only guest own opinions.

Convenient pied-a-terre in the San Gabriel Valley

Suitable for 3-4 people, this is a "mother-in-law"-style unit in a quiet, pleasant family neighborhood. Recently renovated, the unit is very clean and features a modern kitchen, good air conditioner (for the hot days), and two bathrooms. Location is very convenient to Pasadena, downtown LA and of course the foodie paradise of the San Gabriel Valley. Owner is nearby & responsive/helpful, but very discreet. Highly recommended for a visit to Los Angeles!

we really enjoyed our stay here, the house is spacious clean and it had everything we needed to make us feel right in place we did not have to bring anything plenty of blankets dish wear towels. The owner was very helpful and accommodating he answered all my question very fast and was easy to contact he even gave us the wifi password very fast. i would highly recommend this property to anyone it seemed like a good neighbor hood with a supermarket close by along with plenty of places to eat. We really enjoyed our stay everhing was great and the description of the place was even better in person hope to be back one day thanks for the great place to stay

Clean, comfortable, new unit in a safe neighboorhood; perfect for families

This was the first VRBO I ever tried. I was hesitant as I am used to booking 4 star hotels. I booked it because I was traveling to LA with my inlaws and thought they would be most comfortable in a home where they have a kitchen. We were also with my 1 year old baby and wanted a place where I can heat up her milk and food. Based on such a great experience at this unit, I plan on staying in more VRBO units. My family thoroughly enjoyed staying here and got a +++ for booking this place from my inlaws. The owner was so nice he even offered us exotic from his backyard. He responded quickly to all of our requests. The unit itself feels very clean, safe and new. My only suggestion is they get a new headboard in the masterbedroom and perhaps newer sheets would impress future guests. All the sheets and pillows provided were clean. This was also close to lots of restaurants and grocery stores. Will definitely come back here next time we are in LA.

Great place for the family!

Like I said the best thing about this property was the owner. He was a huge help in getting us set up in the house. Any time we needed something, he was their with a smile, and the thing you needed...sometimes with two. The twin beds were just what our kids needed to sleep on. It was also nice having two bathrooms. If you are visiting the LA area with your family give this place a look. Also, everything was spotless when we arrived, and nothing was broken.

Lovely home in a quiet neighborhood

The home is located in a quiet neighborhood. The house is newly built, and the owners are still furnishing the kitchen. Temple City is a great location for visiting Los Angeles area attractions. Close to restaurants and grocery stores. The owners are friendly and helpful.
