About the property

This newly-renovated home (half-duplex) is in one of the coolest and most conveniently-located neighborhoods in Denver. A 2BR/1BA featuring a Queen bed in the main bedroom and a double (120cm wide) Murphy Bed/desk in the second. There's a trampoline and a lovely garden/BBQ area out back shared by the two units.

One block from the heart of Denver's Santa Fe Arts District. Only a mile from downtown. Lots of art galleries, restaurants, and breweries. Not far from the light-rail, and main bus-lines a half-block away.

The back yard has a nice garden, with plenty of edibles. The house is professionally cleaned before and after each stay and twice a month throughout the year, so it will always be clean and tidy, but there is a $50 cleaning fee with each stay, regardless of duration.

Why Tony Shawcross chose Denver

This cozy, 1500 SqFt Duplex is just a block from the heart of the Santa Fe Arts District. Nestled half-way between Downtown/Lodo/Convention Center and Baker/South Broadway. Plenty of great art galleries, restaurants, and entertainment within a 2-block radius, yet on a quiet, residential street with plenty of parking.

I travel a lot for work, so I had been renting my home while out of town with long-term renters in the other half. Demand got so high, when my tenant next door moved-out, I decided to renovate and start listing the other half full-time as well. My half rents for $175-$200/night, and this half is much nicer, but I'm starting the price lower to build-up the reviews.

Everything is new for 2015. Hardwood floors and kitchen tile. New fixtures, lighting, etc. No one lives here full-time, so the closets and drawers are all yours.

Back yard has nice planters with plenty of edible plants throughout spring and summer, plus a fire pit and trampoline.

Cozy urban gem

Tony's place is tucked away on a quiet street of small bungalows near the Santa Fe (Avenue) Arts District. It's accessible to downtown, it's comfortable, there's plenty of street parking (except on the first Friday evening of each month, when the arts district throws itself a party), and Tony is a generous and accommodating host.

The urban backyard is a nice place to relax on a summer morning or evening, and the neighborhood, at least as of this writing, is one of the last in town to retain an authentic, old Denver feel. If you want an urban re doubt and you prefer proximity to the arts, you can't do better.

664 Sante Fe Rental

We spent a week in Denver during GABF. The property was conveniently located to public transportation (RTD Bus) so renting a car was not a necessity as we were able to get around easily. The place was a little cozy but it definitely served us well. Well equipped kitchen. The owner was very responsive to our inquiries. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Cozy Place in Art District of Denver

We had a great time staying at Tony's place. It was very comfortable and had great access to all of Denver and Colorado. The murphy bed was great for our 6 year old daughter and all the amenities were very nice. Only draw backs were that the outside was unkempt and the trampoline seemed to be infested with wasps. We just stayed away from those. We were in walking distance of a few places and there was always parking close to the house.

Denver Transition

I stayed at the Inca St. house while searching for a more permanent place of residency when I relocated to the Denver area from Texas. Tony was one of the most hospitable and generous hosts I've come across throughout my entire time using these vacation home/apt rentals. It really helped make my transition during the month and half so much easier. I was able to focus on work, which was a nice 20 min stroll over to the downtown area, or about a $6-$10 uber ride. I loved the neighborhood because it wasn't a tourist trap type place, but I still had access to all that if I wanted.... great awesome LOCAL coffee shops, food, and art galleries all within the 1 mi. radius. If you're looking for a great place to stay to get a taste of what local Denver is, I'd recommend this place anyday!

Up and coming neighborhood

Nice place in a neighborhood that is very hip. Bedrooms are small, and one has a fold down Murphy bed. Backyard is a little unkempt but has a nice seating area, hammock and grill for guest use. Owner very responsive and accommodative. Easy access to highway but nice quiet street. we were always able to find street parking in front of the building.

The cleaning service does not have much time to clean the property after one group of guests leaves and before the next guests arrive. On the morning of your departure, please wash dishes, and collect trash. Recyclables go in the purple bin out back, while trash goes in the dumpsters in the alley. We expect normal cleaning and signs of use, but if there is excessive cleaning to be done, the cleaning service may charge extra fees against the security deposit.
