|Minimum Stay||5 nights|
We had only used this as our personal gem and just started renting! Ocean views along with Mountain views right on the beach! In Kihei, you can not be any closer to the beach! This building is maintained like a resort! From the soft golf grass turf to the beautiful pool you feel like you are in heaven. Huge rooftop providing 360 degree views of all of maui. This is why we chose this condo; peaceful, relaxing yet close to the action of what Hawaii is all about! Ocean view and Ocean sounds, Sunrise and Sunset - look the other way and you can see the crater and green mountains or the moons reflection over the ocean! Inside the condo - Special attention to all the details is what makes this vacation seamless. From living spaces to $4,000 teak patio furniture. The ocean views from laying in bed or taking a shower you may never leave the condo. Two separated master suite bedrooms! Newly renovated and everything you need from beach gear, coolers and a full kitchen ready for your stay!
We travel a lot and understand your needs. We love this condo Our names are Anne and Mike we live in Kansas and bought this condo so we can visit our son who lives on Maui. We love to share our paradise with you! We have provided everything we could think that we want in a unit when we are traveling, so all you have to do is bring your swimsuit and be ready to relax.
Anne and Mike purchased this condo in 2014
There are no other buildings in Maui this close to the water. The building is so close to the ocean the sea wall is part of the property. The protected beach is great for laying on a raft and considered the most protected beach in all of maui. You will love watching the sunrise and sunset as well as watching whales in the winter from the lani. The building has a full on site staff that maintains the property like a hotel!
We used a professional interior decorator and our theme was 'Polished Beach' beach feel with luxury bedding, bathrooms and furniture! Longest stretch of walkable beach, and the most protected beach for children and adults to just lay on a raft in the ocean. Enjoy the whale season and dine ocean side downstairs at one of the top rated restaurants in maui.
Inside the unit - newly updated and renovated - the layout is spacious and bedrooms do not share walls. The bathrooms are inviting and showers are river rock stone. Everything you need to cook, do laundry and just relax. The sea breeze provides excellent circulation all day. There are plenty of ceiling fans but we have not even turned them on :)
This condo was better than we expected and thats always nice! Right when you walk in you see the Ocean and amazing Mountain view. Best of both worlds and the updated condo was better than any of the others we saw in building. Great beach for swimming, long walks at sunrise or sunset!
My 2 sisters and I just spent a week in this lovely condo on Maui at Menehune Shores. The condo was clean, decorated very nicely and had all the amenities we needed for a great vacation. We did about 1/2 our cooking in the condo which is furnished with a stove, fridge, dishwasher and all the pots pans, dishes, etc., that you need. Plenty of linens and towels including beach towels (so we didn't have to bring those with us). The beach at Menehune Shores is very nice. The rock wall provides a barrier so the waves are a bit more calm when the wind blows. We spent many hours 'floating' on the water and relaxing. The Condo is close to Ululani's Shave Ice, which is the best shave ice the islands have to offer. We also ate dinner at the 'Moonsoon India' restaurant downstairs in the condo building - I would highly recommend it, the food was great. It takes about an hour and a half to drive to the summit of Haleakala and about a 1/2 hour to drive to Lahainia. We also did the Flyin Hawaiian zipline which I would also recommend, it's close to the condo's as well and it's a hoot. Helicopter tours are within about 1/2 drive and I would also recommend that, it was fabulous. Joe gives you his cell number and you can call anytime during your stay. The grounds are kept up very nicely and there are BBQ's available for guests to cook on.
Joe was super helpful and very nice to deal with. You won't be disappointed if you rent this condo for a lovely, relaxing vacation.
Our stay was at Menehune Shores in Kihei. The location was excellent as was the facility. The pool and barbeques were well maintained, and having the beach adjacent to the pool area was extremely pleasing, as there was a breakwall at the beach, where young children, could go out into the ocean, and even at its highest point, the water only came up to about 4 feet.
The amenities within the condo, were as exactly as described in the description and the only little problem we had was that the washer was broken within the unit, but a new one was ordered and installed during our stay. Our resident manager came and picked up soiled bedding and towels, and took them to his condo, washed the laundry and returned them to us fresh; I would recommend this condo and its location to anyone looking for a nice, relaxing holiday.
The view from the lanai is very pretty. The condo has everything you could possibly need, although the toasters did not work. The condo was clean. The parking was a nightmare, we traveled during "high season" and was only allowed one parking spot even though we traveled with another couple who had their own car. The area is very busy and very noisy. Leaving bedroom windows open is a toss up, close them and be hot (no AC) or leave them open and stay awake to constant traffic noise including sirens. My last complaint was the Indian restaurant on grounds that drafts a very strong curry smell everywhere. If you don't like curry (like me) it's pretty terrible. We did enjoy the very busy bay full of frolicking whales!
We visited for two weeks in February 2016. The condo is very well stocked - we ate in quite often and I had everything I needed to prepare meals.
The lack of AC did not bother us. This condo has a north/south orientation and so the sun was never beating directly down on us. We just kept the sliding glass doors open.
There is street noise and at first I was bothered a little. I was sitting on the lanai drinking coffee on my first morning and the noise was bothering me...until I looked out and saw whales spouting and breaching in the water. Any street noise is worth being able to sit on the lanai and take in that view.
Menehune Shores is such a great place for families. The Hawaiian fish pond right in front has at least three resident sea turtles. Plus this area is a great place for kids to play in the water. We didn't bring any kids but thought about how much fun our grandkids would have here.
I gave four stars just because of the street noise and the age of the complex. This unit is pretty well maintained, though. Also, the sunsets on the roof are a daily celebration. The residents and guests all gather up there. The residents are very friendly and helpful.
We had a great time. I wouldn't hesitate to book again.
My mother and I visited Maui to celebrate her 60th birthday. I found this condo online and took chance. It turned out PERFECT. The condo is in Kihei, a more local town feel in South Maui, nice and centrally located on the island. There is a clean pool and beach access on the property. The view from the unit was beautiful! The owner, Joe, was a pleasure to deal with. Always quick to respond and even helped me set up a surprise massage for my mother while we were there. We had a spectacular time and we're happy to call this condo "home" for the week. The condo is pretty spacious for a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom and the kitchen was well equipt with everything we needed. There were plenty of towel, including beach towels, and a whole closet full of chairs, coolers and beach goodies. You'll be pleased if you book this for next vacation! Thanks again Joe for helping make our trip a perfect experience.
View was great, in general the condo was good. The light switches are confusing.
The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to use except food of course. The down side was there are no window coverings or AC. At night with the windows open you hear lots of road noise and light from the garden lights come in.
Kihei is very windy ( trade winds) When I go back to Maui I will look for a place near Lahina or just north in Ka' napali or Kapalua. Very nice beaches up that way too and less windy.
