Our family settled in Lancaster, PA over 200 years ago and are still farming the same land. Currently there are 4 generations of Wanner's living and working on the dairy farm.
Jennifer Wanner purchased this farmhouse in 2007
We farm the cropland surrounding the guesthouse and would like folks to experience the beautiful countryside that we appreciate everyday...
Peace and Quiet at the guesthouse with many activities/attractions nearby, private stocked pond for fishing, visit our Dairy Farm and pet the animals
Dear Wanner Family,
Where do we begin? Everything was wonderful. Our stay here was so relaxing and enjoyable. My son enjoyed running and playing outside. He named your cows. My daughter and niece would run to the pond every morning to catch the "big" fish. My inlaws came up for 2 days and they fell in love with your home just as we did. Everything was perfect and we look forward to coming back next year!
The house is beautiful!! Very clean with everything you need stocked!!! If you are looking for a country experience this is it!!! AWESOME TIME!!
8 Adults and 4 children had a fabulous time in this beautiful well equipped farmhouse along a peaceful road with lovely views of farms and fields. Calves, chickens and 2 small goats on the property. Also small swing set and a great outdoor fire pit equipped with wood. Kids loved picking the eggs from the chicken coop and playing with the goats. The Wanner family could not have been nicer or more helpful. And had an interesting tour of their nearby dairy farm. This was our first visit but our family is already looking forward to our next visit to the Wanner farm.
The house and land were well-maintained; the owners were friendly and gracious. We enjoyed playing with the goats, feeding the chickens, and touring the Dairy farm. Lastly, the farm was near many important local attractions. We plan to visit again next year for a longer stay.
What a beautiful and historical home set in the idyllic Amish countryside! We had never been to this part of the country, and it was more beautiful than pictures can show! The home was clean and plenty of room for large groups. The outdoors was perfect for my 4 young kids who LOVED the goats, chickens, calves, and we all loved the tour of the dairy farm. Such a unique and fun experience for all ages. So many yummy local Amish eateries, and perfect location for visiting the Cherry Crest Adventure Farm with our kids.
We could not have picked a better place to unwind after a trip to busy Philadelphia to see historical sites. The Wanner family was hospitable and helpful- just a text away- to answer any questions! You can't go wrong booking this home! If we ever come back again from Texas, we will definitely stay here again!
We truly enjoyed our weekend at your Pride and Joy Guest House. It is a beautiful old home and wonderful property. The views can't be beat. We also appreciated your hospitality. The tour of the Dairy Farm was really interesting. Your recommendations concerning a buggy ride and dinner with Amish family were also wonderful. My parents loved the weekend and plan to bring friends for a weekend, at some point. I think my Dad would move in if he could! We would all love to come back again sometime!
This is a nice place for a big family it has plenty space. Also has plenty of seating area in the living room. It is clean for the most part but it does have spider webs hanging off the corners of the ceiling and that's why I gave it 4 stars, it could use a deep cleaning. But I would stay here again. The owner was very nice to deal with over the phone, I never actually met her face to face.
