Our garden level suite offers modern amenities in a quaint setting. Set on a quiet street, you will feel the luxury of Manhattan but with the calm of a small town. It is located across the street from a beautiful park that is a great place to rest after a full day of sightseeing.
The floors are covered by terra cotta tiles and the exposed brick work offer urban chic with rustic flair giving an ambience of both comfort and familiarity. The ceilings are low (6'4") which adds to the coziness of the space.
There is one bedroom with a full-size bed that sleeps two and a day lounger in the living room that sleeps one.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, fridge and plenty of pots and pans for cooking.
Feel free to enjoy the garden. Your sanctuary has a private entrance at the back of the house with a lovely cobblestone patio where you can take your meals.

Manhattan is wonderfully hectic. Enjoy the pulse all day, but come back to tranquility only 15 minutes away.
Our Garden level apartment is Cozy, Cute, and Close to Manhattan!
Where do I begin! Even before arriving, Ursula sent detailed information on the area, how to get to the property, and made herself available to answer any questions. Once we arrived, it was no different treatment. Her main focus is to ensure her guests are happy and comfortable. She texted and called to make sure we made it to the right bus and even met us at the bus stop that is very close to the property. We walked back to the apartment (yes, the bus stops are that close) where we were greeted with a greeting card, welcoming snacks, beverages, and breakfast staples to get our vacation started. Booklets, pamphlets, and many nearby food options were available as well. Very minor requests we made were addressed immediately. Though Ursula and her family live above the apartment, they were so quiet you'd never know anyone was above you. This stay was hospitality at its finest. Thank you Ursula and Carlos for making our trip so comfortable and enjoyable!! We HIGHLY recommend this property. No need to stay in the expensive city, when you can stay here and just be a short bus ride away. Our next visit to NYC will definitely include staying at Ursula and Carlos' place!
Ursula and Carlos were extremely hopefully and super nice people really made it that much better to have such good people rent us their home. The house itself is I would say perfect . It has everything one needs and has in their home. This place was definitely worth the money and more, can't explain how grateful and nice this house was, hope to rent from Ursula and Carlos again !
Welcoming, we arrived to a light on, music playing and snacks after a long day of travel. Home was exactly as described.
Hosts professional, all correspondence replies in short period of time, assisted with any questions about the area: transportation, restaurants etc. Outstanding attention to detail, clean, well maintained, safe neighborhood, fast easy commute to NYC-midtown. Thank you we had the best trip in big part due to this stay and top notch hospitality!
The apartment was very cozy, clean, and comfortable. Ursula made us feel very welcome and gave us great info for the Macy's parade. It was a great experience for our first time in NY and will be staying there for future trips.
It's the first time I've stayed in Union City but it won't be the last. Incredibly convenient for Manhattan -- though avoid the rush hour bus if you can and take the ferry instead -- and a great, mainly Latino, neighbourhood. Breathtaking views over the river from the end of the road. The basement apartment is very comfortable and has everything you could need. Ursula is very charming and extremely generous; providing a range of foods and staples so you don't need to go out to buy coffee, oil etc. The ceilings are quite low so it might not be the best place for tall people but we enjoyed our stay enormously and will definitely be back. Highly recommended.
Ursula is an amazing host, making sure her guests are welcome. There were provisions for breakfast, and many other goodies that lasted for days. There is a nice table where you can sit on the patio and have your morning coffee.
The trip into Manhattan is quick, maybe 20 minutes in total and you are right in the heart of the city. It was nice to come back to the quiet apartment after the being in the busy city all day. It was easy as Ursula explained how everything worked and was available if you had any questions. There were umbrellas available as well.
The double bed was comfortable and there were toiletries and plenty of towels.
This is a great apartment, close to the city and affordable. As a single woman I found the neighbourhood quiet and it felt safe when I came home at night. I'm glad I stayed here.
