Why Jim Dilger chose North Truro

We have been vacationing at Beach Point since 1989 and finally decided to buy a place of our own. We love being right on the Bay and close to the National Seashore and whale watching!

AAAHHH!!!

  • 4 of 5

What a beautiful spot for vacation. This is just what we were looking for. On the beach, beautiful views and breathtaking sunsets. This area has many condo's together, so many families which was fine. Fairly quiet, perfect for relaxing reading. Quick trips to get to Ptown and Wellfleet for shopping, great dinners and of course homemade ice-cream!

Lovely, lovely location and beautiful condo

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a week at this condo. Jim was wonderful to work with, very responsive to every email, but we didn't need anything. The condo is much nicer inside than where we usually stay -- all those stainless steel appliances and a double vanity in the bathroom... very nice. I am lazy and don't want to have to walk to the beach and this condo is situated right on the beach with a lovely patch of sea grass and beach plum bushes that give you a little privacy while having the beach almost at your toes. We had a really great week and couldn't have asked for more. The location is very convenient to Provincetown and there is a shuttle stop right outside your door if you don't want to drive in.

We want to go back to this condo!

  • 5 of 5

We immensely enjoyed our two-week stay at this condo in North Truro (June 2016). We have rented houses all over the mid- and outer-cape, and this was our second condo. We want to go back! Route 6A is a nice stretch of road that feels like a beach road. The condo is even better than the photos. We spent a lot of time just sitting on the back porch, with a really nice view of Provincetown. We saw the distant ferries coming and going and could just hear the horns announcing their departures from MacMillan Wharf. We had sand and a dune with sand grass right in front of our porch, with song sparrows alighting and singing right in front of us. The bay is right there, some days with energetic waves and wind, other days with calm and purple and green colors. A short path down to the bay leads to walking or swimming.

We cooked meals in the well-equipped kitchen, got take-out seafood meals, and went out to eat several times. Provincetown is a very short drive, or short shuttle bus ride. There is a Stop and Shop grocery store just down Rt 6 in Provincetown. It is easy to go to, without having to go through the town center itself. There is also Day’s Market, just half a mile or so from the condo on 6A. This store reminded me of old time stores near campgrounds or lake cottages. They have everything in a fairly small space, and an astounding variety of magazines.

Our two adult daughters joined us during the second week. One used the bottom bunk and the other used the trundle bed. We of course were in the master with the queen bed. We all slept very well. The condo has all the features I was looking for: on the first floor, washer and dryer, air conditioning, on 6A and on the bay, covered porch on the bay, a walk-in shower, internet access, and two parking spaces. And it was notably clean. The A/C units are actually wall-mounted split units, one in each bedroom, and one in the living room. They are really effective. We had to use the bedroom ones just a couple of days, and never needed the heat. We liked being on the left end first floor unit. It felt more private than other units might be. There was activity on both sides of us and on the beach below us, but it was just enough to make it interesting to watch. By the way, looking left there is a nice view of the rest of Truro and Wellfleet, and more bay of course. And finally, the owner Jim Dilger is very responsive and responsible. Thanks Jim!

Perfect location in Truro

  • 5 of 5

This Beach Point condo was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was modern and well equipped. Both bedrooms were large and the beds were very comfortable.

We loved the privacy on the back porch and our own little section on the beach. The bay view and Provincetown harbor views were spectacular, especially at sunset.

The owner, Jim, was very friendly and easy to work with.

Looking forward to a return visit next year!

Perfect place for a relaxing get-away

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful week I had in Truro! This condo unit is just beautiful - exactly like shown in the photos, perhaps even better. The unit was sparkling clean making it a joy to spend time in. I loved having coffee on the deck each morning, taking walks on the beautiful beach, and spending time exploring nearby P'town.

Owner, Jim, was a pleasure to work with, answering my questions promptly and completely. Very professional yet friendly.

I can't wait to go back!

Beach Point Heaven-no really....

  • 5 of 5

If you are reading this review, you already know that you can't believe that there is a place this new, in this location actually for rent! The property is simply amazing.

Jim the Owner was prompt, courteous and professional right from our inquiry about the dates that we wanted all the way through to the arrival date. He really made it feel like you were renting from a long time family friend. We look forward to staying here regularly. If your familiar with the location of this property, you can't beat its proximity to the water. Everything about the property was as described and did not disappoint.
