About Alison & Brian

We're a close-knit family living in the Midwest that really treasures togetherness, making loving memories and healthy, wholesome fun.

Alison & Brian purchased this chalet in 2014

Why Alison & Brian chose Upper Peninsula Michigan

We have a large family and extended family. This property allows families to be close to the action and really share each other's company. Nobody has to jump in a car or go back to a sterile hotel room in the middle of the evening. Family and friends can hang out as late as they want and retire to their beds a few steps away.

What makes this chalet unique

Nestled in the peaceful woods of Ski Brule. Easy walk, ski, snowmobiling or drive to Ski Brule or the Brule River.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback. We do have wi-fi at the chalet. I apologize if you were not able to connect to it, or if it wasn't working. I'll see if we can come up with instructions on how to light a wood fireplace. We usually put out at least one towel for each guest. Did you notify anyone about any of these items? All of these items could have been quickly addressed during your stay.

No issue stay. Clean. Nicely stocked and comfortable.

  • 5 of 5

The communication with Alison regarding our rental and stay was top notch and all questions were answered quickly. The chalet was clean and everything was in great shape. We stayed with 4 kids and there was more than enough room with the loft and the number of beds. It was easy to get to and from the rental and we enjoyed spending the day swimming and fishing on lake Stanley which was only 5 minuted away. I would have no issues recommending this rental and we may plan another stay in the future.

Cozy, great location

  • 5 of 5

The chalet was very cute and cozy, kind of rustic, especially enjoyed the fireplace! Sleeps lots of people and the privacy of the downstairs rooms is nice. Place was very clean and the caretaker was quick to respond to us if we had any questions. Very convenient location, we had no problem walking down to the hill with our gear.

Huge front porch has lots of sunshine and great view of the ski hill. Overall, really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.

Great property right at bottom of ski hill

  • 4 of 5

Perfect chalet and location for a fathers and sons weekend in the UP. It served us well for a place to sleep and prepare meals. You almost couldn't be closer to hill not ask for more except a little upgrade to furniture and electronics (no DVD and stereo from 1970's)

Property was clean, owners are responsive and the rental is definite 4 out of 5 stars.

I would recommend and return. Thanks for the memories!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind words and the suggestion. We'll get a DVD player in there (we'll post that to the profile once it's installed). There are 2 new 43" HDTVs on each side. We look forward to hosting you again.
