About Alison & Brian

We're a close-knit family living in the Midwest that really treasures togetherness, making loving memories and healthy, wholesome fun.

Alison & Brian purchased this chalet in 2014

Why Alison & Brian chose Iron River

We have a large family and extended family. This property allows multiple families to be close together and really share each other's company. Nobody has to jump in a car or go back to a sterile hotel room in the middle of the evening. Family and friends can hang out as late as they want and retire to their beds a few steps away.

What makes this chalet unique

The surroundings are serene, pure and breathtaking. Ski Brule has one of the earliest starts and latest ends to skiing in the Midwest. And, excellent fishing and hunting are nearby. The town of Iron River can provide golf, restaurants, groceries or antiquing just a few minutes away. It's also great for large groups and multi-family outings. It also has two full kitchens and two bathrooms. Alpine Haus is also just a few 100 yards from one of the county snowmobile trails (#15). So it's ski-in/ski-out, and snowmobile-in/snowmobile-out.

The ultimate in relaxation

  • 5 of 5

From the time we arrived till the time we left everything was just as promised. There was a small glitch with the entry keys which was quickly taken care of by the owners, who, by the way, are very friendly and helpful. The chalet is easily accessible by decent roads and minutes away from Lake Stanely or the Brule River - both with decent fishing.

We walked around Ski-Brule's trails and shopped in Iron River a little but mainly relaxed in the shade of the surrounding trees by the chalet.

Great time. We'll be back.

Great Visit

  • 5 of 5

This home was a great getaway. My wife and I met my brother here for some fun in the snow and this home was very nice. Such a great view of Ski Brule. The home was clean and organized and there was only one disappointment- we only had a long weekend to visit. Thank you Allison and Brian.

Rustic cabin perfect for a weekend getaway at Ski Brule

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time staying in Alison’s rustic cabin. The set up was even better than expected! Plenty of room for 7 adults to hang out and cook, it was cozy (in a good way). The location to the Ski Brule property could not have been better, you can see the runs from the front window! Will definitely stay again if back up in these neck of the woods.

Thanks again Alison and team!

Place for lots of people

  • 4 of 5

We rented both sides of the chalet. From the area originally so needed a place to sleep. Very well stocked with enough dishes, towels, etc for all of us. Nice deck to sit on, but bring your own chairs. One issue, someone up the hill appeared to be having a sewer problem so at times you got a whiff not overwhelming bad, but there.

Owner's Response: Thank you for staying with us. We're glad you enjoyed your stay. We think the extremely heavy rains were challenging one of our neighbors' septic tank. I'm sorry if that diminished your stay with us. We would be happy to refund you $200 if you'll contact us. We look forward to you staying with us again.
