About the property

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Living area, 2 full Baths, (Sleeps 8)

Congratulations! You have just found one of the best kept secrets of Florida vacations. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing retreat then you're in the right place.

This cabin has plenty of room for friends and family to enjoy a day of activity outside and a relaxing evening around the campfire.

Bring your canoe or kayak and launch right from the ramp in front of the house and paddle down the creek right to the Gulf.

You may also bring your own boat for a great weekend of fishing, easy launching from the private ramp at the cabin and store it in the covered slip for the duration of your stay.

Most boats 24' or smaller are fine but boats with t-tops are discouraged since there is a low bridge to go under. Our screened fish cleaning house makes cleaning the day's catch convenient. The Gulf is a short, 20-minute boat ride.

Housekeeping services are paid in cash at checkout.

Splendid Serenity...Old FL Beauty

  • 5 of 5

My family spend a wonderful weekend at the property to celebrate a significant birthday and it delivered the perfect setting. The weather was cold and the cabin proved snug, cozy, and well-appointed for every comfort we needed. The kitchen is fully equipped and perfect for a food-loving family. We enjoyed shared meal preparation, including grilling one evening. The setting is tranquil, and though we left our kayak on top of the car given the cold, it is clearly a marvelous paddle-about spot that we look forward to exploring by boat when we visit in warmer temperatures. Vanessa is a great host...she was available and responsive throughout the planning process and during our stay, giving helpful information, recommendations, and ensuring that we had everything we needed at our disposal. We will definitely be returning for some warm-weather adventures in scalloping!

Love it here.

  • 5 of 5

This was our (I think) fifth time staying at the cabin at Rocky Creek. We would never stay anywhere else -- it is clean, has everything we need, and is perfect for cooking, campfires and enjoying time together. <3 Thanks, Vanessa, for being a great VRBO host. <3

Misrepresented to sleep 8 people!

  • 2 of 5

We enjoyed our visit, but we're disappointed that the accommodations would not really sleep 8 as advertised. The 2 bedrooms will handle 4 people, but the other 4 will have to sleep on a couch that does not even pull out, a futon, and a chair/ottoman. For this price, I expected more.

Owner's Response: I'm very sorry to hear that you were disappointed. I try to be very clear about what to expect and I have had 8 people there comfortably in the past. I do appreciate your feedback and will be more clear in the future. Thanks, Vanessa

Peaceful time on the Creek!

  • 5 of 5

What an awesome place! Even though the earlier storm pushed all of the scallops out from the normal grounds, we still have a great time! Definitely pay attention to the tide as will make your boating life easier or "hairier" :) Very peaceful sitting on the porch with a glass of wine listening to the creek "talk" to you! Vanessa is very accommodating, so feel free to ask her anything - she will definitely try to help.

Owner's Response: I'm so glad you had a nice time. I hope you can make it back next scallop season, or even in the office season when the weather is cooler. :-)

Very refreshing

  • 5 of 5

Awesome trip nice and peaceful. Very nice place no problems very clean. We enjoyed fishing from the dock, kayaking on the creek, and scalloping. If you are looking for a white sandy beach it's about 45 min drive to ceder key but if you just want the ocean this place is pefect. Will come back in future.

Peaceful and Private

  • 5 of 5

This was the second time we rented this property and we stayed for a month! We love the Creek! The setting is very private and beautiful. When we turn into the driveway we loose our cell phone signals and that is just what we needed! However, the addition of WiFi to the property was very nice and it did allow us to access our weather apps, email, etc. It is very convenient having a boat ramp right next to the boat house. We brought our 18ft Key Largo and had no trouble getting in and out to the gulf. Being the last house on the creek, you don't get any other boat traffic. We had some unusually cool weather in the mornings and I enjoyed reading my book by the fire outside. I also brought a small hammock and strung it between two trees. It was very relaxing! My husband and son went fishing every morning and had a great time catching trout, redfish, shark and many others! Great place to get away from it all!
