Our studio apartment with soaring 12-foot ceilings and mountain views is conveniently located right in the village of Crozet. It comfortably fits two with a queen-size bed, sitting area, full kitchen and full bath. Designed for full-time guests.
Whether you are visiting family in the area, vineyard hopping, here for a wedding or a hike along the Blue Ridge, The Square is the perfect place to begin and end your day.
With commercial space on the ground level and apartments above, The Square is the perfect location to stay in Crozet. Once you settle in, step outside for a stroll down to Crozet Park or over to the Crozet Library. Stop in Fardowners for a meal, a beverage and some local music. Maybe you’d prefer a pizza or calzone from Crozet Pizza/Pourhouse. All are within walking distance to The Square. For breakfast, you can’t beat the Mudhouse where the coffee is roasted locally and the goodies are baked right there in the kitchen.
Ross and Amy are long-time residents of the area. Ross grew up in Greenwood, went to Elon College (now University) and returned to Charlottesville upon graduation to join his great-uncle in real estate. Amy grew up in the Shenandoah Valley, moved to Charlottesville to attend UVA and after graduation, couldn't leave! We love living here.
Our real estate office shares the upper floor with the apartment and we live in nearby Sugar Hollow.
Located right in the village of Crozet within walking distance of restaurants and shops. Only a quick drive to local vineyards and breweries as well as the Blue Ridge Parkway and hiking.
Wow! We want to create this little piece of heaven at our home for OUR guests! The furnishings, the designer linens, the pressed metal ceiling, the ceiling fan, heat you can control yourself, a flat screen TV for the evening news, new comfortable overstuffed sofa and chair, dining table - everything you could want along with lots of floor space so we weren't tripping over each other - all in an historic building with a coffee shop downstairs. Definitely felt as if we were staying in a designer's home. To top it off, Amy had the kitchen stocked with treats for us! We highly recommend.
This is a great stop if you are visiting Monticello and/or about to hop on Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park , University of Virginia, or the Blue Ridge Parkway. That was our plan and it worked out perfectly.
Can't thank Amy enough to answering all questions (getting us the key code again as we couldn't find our email confirmation and we needed a laundromat - which was located next to a great local brewery that hosts a brew pub). Perfect, perfect, perfect.
We loved our stay in downtown Crozet and it was the perfect place for a weekend getaway! The listing was just as described, very clean, and overall well maintained. The owners responded very quickly to any messages and are very accommodating. They even left some yummy treats for us from a local bakery that was completely unexpected. We will gladly stay here again ...the only thing I would change is that I would stay LONGER!! :) Thanks for the amazing hospitality!
We were so impressed with how hospitable and informative the owners were. The apartment was also in great shape and in an ideal location for a great weekend getaway. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.
We were in town for a wedding in Crozet so this location was close to the event plus having the brewery and the Wineries nearby was a definite plus! The owner attended to every detail- water, breakfast breads and had even sent over a list of events in the area. We would love to visit again and would highly recommend the rental. Thank you!!!!
My husband and I loved this apartment. It is completely charming, decorated out of "Country Living" magazine. The living space is huge. Bed, couch and chair extremely comfortable. When we arrived, there were two loaves of bread from a local bakery and two beautiful, ripe peaches and water in the fridge.
The Mudhouse coffee shop was fantastic. Great coffee and great selections of savory and sweet eats. They also had healthy choices (yogurt, boiled eggs, fruit, fresh squeezed juice). Fardowners, less than a block away had good pub grub (reuben with their own smoked pastrami, pretzel with beer cheese) and libations.
A few caveats, but not worth taking away a star: A square, smallish shower, made leg shaving difficult. The kitchen doesn't have a dishwasher, if you're a big cook. It doesn't have a closet ... It had four coat hooks mounted on the wall. Since we were there for a wedding we had some nice clothes that needed hanging. When we asked for hangers, Ross bought some for us, and had them delivered within 10 minutes. Note to Ross and Amy, I think you could easily get a moveable, antique? closet type of furniture piece for people to hang their clothes, hide the suitcase, etc.
My husband and I had a great weekend staying at Ross and Amy's property. We spent our time wine tasting, hiking, and eating at great restaurants. Crozet was central to all of our activities. There are some great restaurants and a coffee shop within walking distance. The apartment is beautiful and clean. There were also some baked goods from a local shop waiting for us in the kitchen..A nice surprise! I highly recommend choosing this property for your stay.
