Our studio apartment with soaring 12-foot ceilings and mountain views is conveniently located right in the village of Crozet. It comfortably fits two with a queen-size bed, sitting area, full kitchen and full bath. Designed for full-time guests.
Whether you are visiting family in the area, vineyard hopping, here for a wedding or a hike along the Blue Ridge, The Square is the perfect place to begin and end your day.
With commercial space on the ground level and apartments above, The Square is the perfect location to stay in Crozet. Once you settle in, step outside for a stroll down to Crozet Park or over to the Crozet Library. Stop in Fardowners for a meal, a beverage and some local music. Maybe you’d prefer a pizza or calzone from Crozet Pizza/Pourhouse. All are within walking distance to The Square. For breakfast, you can’t beat the Mudhouse where the coffee is roasted locally and the goodies are baked right there in the kitchen.
Ross and Amy are long-time residents of the area. Ross grew up in Greenwood, went to Elon College (now University) and returned to Charlottesville upon graduation to join his great-uncle in real estate. Amy grew up in the Shenandoah Valley, moved to Charlottesville to attend UVA and after graduation, couldn't leave! We love living here.
Our real estate office shares the upper floor with the apartment and we live in nearby Sugar Hollow.
Located right in the village of Crozet within walking distance of restaurants and shops. Only a quick drive to local vineyards and breweries as well as the Blue Ridge Parkway and hiking.
We couldn't have asked for a better stay in Crozet. This place was walking distance to everything downtown and a short drive from many wineries and breweries. Watching the sunset from the living room was pretty awesome. The apartment was also impeccably clean. We will be back!
Overall, we really enjoyed this place. It's everything you need with the right amount of space, especially traveling with two dogs. Walking distance to different Culinary options for every meal. Also a pharmacy, hardware store, convenience store and coffee shop walking distance. Owner left us local breads and dog treats for the boys. Very comfortable bed and bedding. Towels were soft and absorbant. The furniture is all very nice. Entire place feels very New and high end. I even loved hearing the trains go by and feeling the building vibrate as they went by.
Some things to note:
1. It's an older building so the stairs are steep and plentiful. If you cannot handle stairs, I would skip this property.
2. It's an older building so if your dogs react to noises, you probably will not be able to leave them alone there, so plan to bring your fur babies with you during business hours, even on weekends.
We would definitely consider staying here again, but probably not with our fur babies.
We loved our three-night stay at this apartment. We wanted to get out of DC for the long inauguration weekend and visit some wineries. The apartment is located in "downtown" Crozet (it's a very small downtown!) right next to a pharmacy, a wonderful indie coffee shop, and a few restaurants. Parking was easy and so was getting into the apartment. The owners had left a gift of some delicious breads for us, which was very nice of them. We spent most of our time having breakfast at the coffee shop, then heading off to local wineries (there are a bunch within 10-20 minutes of the apartment), then coming back to Crozet for dinner. We also drove over to Monticello, which was about 20 minutes away as well. The weather wasn't great, otherwise we would've done more!
I would definitely come back next time we want to get out of town - the bed was comfortable, the studio was spacious, and we got to bring our dog. 5 stars all the way!
The loft was great for a weekend away. Many restaurants within walking distance. Along with nearby vineyards and breweries. We also really enjoyed the kitchen so we could prepare meals there!
Ross & Amy meant it when they said that the rental was "stocked". They thought of everything and then some. We could have just brought our clothes and it would have been fine! It was so nice to enjoy coffee and fresh bread in the morning, and then walk literally right next door for some great food at Fardowner's for lunch or dinner. We've always loved this area and we will make this our "go to" place to stay when visiting again. Close to Charlottesville, Afton & Skyline Drive. Thank you so much for providing a great, CLEAN place to stay.
My boyfriend and I really enjoyed staying the weekend at the Loft Apartment. The directions and access information were perfectly explained in our welcome paperwork. Amy emailed shortly after our arrival to ensure that everything was in order and to our liking. Coffee, milk, butter, water and even banana nut and pumpkin bread were provided us. The breads were delicious and we enjoyed them for breakfast and a snack after returning from the wineries and breweries. The apartment was very clean and there was plenty of room for a couple. The bath was small for 2 people to use at one time but we managed perfectly fine. Toiletries were also provided by the owners. I was also refunded my security damage deposit very promptly. I would recommend the apartment to any couple or 2 friends looking for a nice weekend close to everything Charlottesville has to offer but also being a little away from things as well. Crozet Pizza was our stop for dinner on Friday night. I had often heard that the pizzas were great and they did not disappoint! We also stopped at Fardowners for a drink and decided to have dinner there Saturday night. Good food, reasonably priced and just steps from our door! Thank you Amy and Ross. We had a great time!
