Guestbook comments from the owner

S and S's home was perfect for our family of five. We had room to spread out and all the amenities of a home. It was very comfortable and will kept. So much better than a small hotel room!!

Home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

After a hectic and long PCS move from England this home was an answer to prayer! The owner Sally even came home on her lunch hour to let us check in early so our dog didn't have to wait in the car . Outside is a beautiful yard and we loved seeing all the wildlife from around the fire pit and from the windowed room facing the yard. The grill was a welcomed bonus. Inside the house was cozy and perfect for both teenagers to have their own space and for the entire family to relax. The kitchen had everything we needed . A great week and Sally and her husband were fantastic!

Sally and Steve were very nice and accommodating. They provided everything for our family of 10 from beach chairs to a shower chair. We wish you many more satisfied renters.

Quaint and Cozy in the Heart of Jacksonville

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I and another couple visited Jacksonville recently to attend a formal military event. We wanted to stay in the town of Jacksonville so that we would be in close proximity to the base and friends. We found this quaint and cozy home to be perfect for the four of us. My favorite part of the home was the back sunroom where we could enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning and listen to the birds chirping and squirrels running up the trees. The owner conveniently lives next door and he dropped by upon our arrival to give us a tour and to see if we needed anything which I thought was a rare, but nice touch. It made us feel very welcome. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had all the appliances that we needed for our stay, and the temperatures were perfect during our stay. This is an older home, but the couple that owns it have a lot of love for this home and are doing a lot of improvements on it. I would stay here again on future visits to Jacksonville.

Cozy, Clean and Quiet

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week here visiting with family. This home was a perfect gathering place and had plenty of room to meet together. The home is in a lovely quiet neighborhood. The yard is gorgeous, with water, tall trees, flowers, birds, squirrels and lizards. It had a lovely seating area out back and a fire pit to enjoy. Inside in the living room is a large window that takes up one whole wall where you can also get a lovely view of the backyard and grounds. The home is decorated very nicely, and is clean and comfortable. We loved the nice king size bed in the master bedroom. We also enjoyed the gas fireplace on a few days where the weather was a little chilly. The television and wifi worked well. It was stocked with everything we needed from extra blankets and nice towels, to kitchen utensils and appliances to cook family dinners. There was even a grill for outdoor cookouts. The home is in a good location. It is quiet, but close to everything in town, and not far from the base and the beach. We will definitely try and stay here when we visit again. This home made our trip even more enjoyable and memorable. We looking forward to coming again!

Very comfortable & happy family reunion in a beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

We were staying in this house over Christmas and New Year's so the owners surprised us with a decorated tree and stockings hung over the fireplace! We felt right at home. Sally and Steve live next door and are a wonderful couple. If we had need of anything they were right there with an item or suggestion. They were terrific!

We would definitely come back again and hope to some day. They are in the process of updating so it will be fun to see what improvements they make.

Thank you for making our family reunion in Jacksonville so memorable, Sally and Steve!
