About Bob and Linda Peet

Bob and I actually met minutes from here while hiking Mount Kearsage. We have always been drawn to the mountains and wildlife of the area. Webought this house shortly after we got married. It was originally a small, one story chalet. As our family grew, we added on a second floor so that we could have other families stay with us. Plenty of room so that everyone has a friend. It has been a great spot for us to raise our children. We spent many a day looking for polywogs, fishing, swimming in the summer and sledding, skiing, snow shoeing in winter. Now that they are a little older we don't get up north as often as we'd like to and look forward to sharing our home with you.

Bob and Linda Peet purchased this chalet in 1998

Why Bob and Linda Peet chose White Mountains

This house is perfect for couples and families with children looking to get away from the hustle and bustle. Unplug and relax or even take a dip in the mountain stream in front of our house.

Nice place and very quiet. Rooms and beds very confortables. Con. Tite kitchen a bit small, fresh water only available in plastic containers was a little problem. Also the heating system was hard to set for a maximum confort. For the rest it was ok.

Owner's Response: The photos on the HomeAway site are an accurate representation of the size of the kitchen. We have well water and are accustomed to drinking bottled water so we provide that to our guests. I was not made aware that there was a problem with the heating. We have a caretaker who lives next door who could have addressed any problems if made aware.

Cozy home in a great location!

  • 4 of 5

Peet's Retreat was a beautiful home to rent. We enjoyed our time as a family and with our friends. The kids loved the bunk bed room! The house is located right across from the river and with the windows opened, you can hear the sounds of the river. It is also right near some great hiking spots! Everything was within a short distance and we were able to spend a good amount of time at the house playing games. The home was well-cared for and well stocked with basic essentials. Thank you for opening up your home to us. We made lots of memories with our little ones!

Quiet, clean and comfortable.

  • 5 of 5

The Peet's home is a lovely and clean retreat away from the hustle and bustle of daily living and was perfect for our family vacation to the beautiful White Mountains. The home is very clean, well decorated, and well stocked with anything you could need (not having to pack linens and towels was a huge plus for us!) including a basket for "forgotten" items such as toothpaste and razors. Our only regret was not staying booking our stay for longer! Would vacation in the White Mountains and stay here again in a heartbeat!

Peaceful and beautiful

  • 5 of 5

Thank you so much for the warm and welcoming stay. Your home was better than described. Neat, clean and little extras made our stay just like being home. We were close to everything and within an easy drive to so many destinations. This was easily one of our best vacation stays. Thanks for making this a trip of a lifetime.
