Enchanting Log Cabin

Bedrooms 3
Separate WCs1
Property type house
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

3 Bedroom, 2 Full Bathrooms And 1 Half Bathroom

This is why you come to the mountains ! Property is less than 10 minutes to Blowing Rock or Boone, yet VERY private setting just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. A small creek runs through the front yard and a pond is behind the gazebo. The house is a hand-hewn log cabin with a wood burning stone fireplace in the living room. Skiing is close by and the property is perfect for playing in the snow or sitting on the covered wrap around porch and gazing at the beauty of nature. The house is comfortably equipped with wireless internet, cable tv, dvd, vcr, washer, dryer, microwave, dishwasher, and outdoor grill by gazebo. House also has a baby grand piano and original artwork by local artists.

Our family of 6 loved it

  • 5 of 5

Property exactly as described and perfect for our stay. Clean and well-furnished, rustic and charming. Wood burning fireplace was wonderful after a day out in the cold. Kitchen was well stocked and dining area quite roomy. We (two adults and four kids) had plenty of room to spread out.

We saw many deer roaming the property which was a thrill for the kids. A brisk walk to the top of the ridge behind the house treated us to a view we won’t soon forget. Can’t wait to come back!

Charming Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Prior to visiting all of the reviews were raving about this property, and I couldn't have been more impressed. With two younger children (almost three and six and a half), this is the ideal setting for small exploring and roaming around between the gazebo, creek, frog pond, rocks, and enjoying the pure beauty of the high country. My parents drove down from Ohio for the weekend and commented that the cabin alone was worth the eight hours of driving, it's that perfect. The inside is much larger than I expected, extremely well kept, while also being very comfortable. The location couldn't be better, as we spent the weekend along the Parkway, going into Blowing Rock, visiting Tweetsie Railroad, and everything was within 15-30 minutes on the peak weekend of leaf viewing. My family and I will be returning and I highly recommend this for anyone with smaller children who don't want to be on the side of a mountain and enjoy their surroundings!

My family and I loved our stay at the Log Cabin. There were 6 of us and we had plenty of room. We loved exploring and watching the deer run by each night.

The cabin was beautiful in a country mountain setting, yet had all the modern conveniences!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at your cabin. The setting was beautiful and the children had plenty of space to run and explore outside when we were not skiing. The wood burning fireplace was a nice gathering spot for the adults at night when all the kids were finally exhausted. We look forward to staying here again!
