Renovated historic quarter 2 bedroom house: charm, comfort and endless views

Casa Resolana is one of the few remaining houses with views still available to rent in the historical quarter of town, Casco Antiguo. It is situated next to a Moorish castle, a cathedral, and the tourist information center. This old traditional 'pueblo blanco' house has been fully restored to blend modern comforts with old-world charm. It offers breathtaking views of the Sierras de Cadiz, hills blanketed with olive groves, as well as the historical village of Olvera itself.

The layout is as follows.

Ground floor: hall, dining area, fully-equipped kitchen, toilet.

An Andalusian-style stairway with azulejos tilework leads to the upper floors.

First floor: corridor, bathroom with toilet, bedroom with TV lounge.

Second floor: office / second bedroom, with access to stunning panoramic views from the rooftop terrace.

An iron stairway leads from the terrace to a flat roof with a 360° view.

Casa Resolana is fully equipped for relaxing and comfortable short, medium, or long stays. The home provides kitchenware, television, DVD player, internet access, games, basic pharmacy, etc, etc. There is shading for dining al fresco on the terrace, as well as an electric BBQ grill.

Originally I am from Russia and have widely traveled across the world, but I have always felt happy to be back in Spain and Andalusia.

I think that Olvera and its fascinating surroundings are a perfect place to get away from the ''madding crowds'' on the Costas, to relax and get to know the true unspoiled Inner Andalusia. I hope my guests will enjoy their stay here as much as I do every time I come.

I was looking for a place in the sun, and Andalusia, that I had sun-filled memories of, seemed the natural choice for me.

I considered several properties but the one that stole my heart with its breathtaking views was a seemingly-hopeless ruin in the historical quarter of Olvera.

It took a lot of hard work to turn Casa Resolana into what it is now, a cozy home blending tradition and modern comforts, and with those views one never forgets.

Wonderful Casa with fantastic views

Casa Resolana is a lovely, well renovated village house, with fantastic views and we loved it! It is right at the top of the village so lots of hills to climb but well worth the effort for the great location. Paquito gave us the guided tour and information on the surroundings - even though we don't speak Spanish we managed to get the main points! Paquito, Natalia and their children are lovely and very helpful. Olvera is a lovely village and has plenty of good bars/cafes plus lots of minimarkets within walking distance. Thank you Alexandre for making available such a lovely Casa to stay in, highly recommended.

Spectacular setting. Beautiful apartment .. Clean and comfortable and very well equipt, with amazing views from every window. Olvera is small and mostly quiet, perched atop a rocky hill. Be prepared for steep climbs but worth every inch! Property manager Paquito was wonderful .. And though we did not meet the owner, he was very kind and helpful. Highly recommend Casa Resolana!

Marvellous casa, wonderful stay

Our stay at Casa Resolana in Olvera started with the airline misplacing our luggage for 3 days. However, with Alexandre's and Paquito's determined assistance this turned out to be less of a problem than it might seem. The casa is situated very high up in the village and therefore has fabulous views of the countryside from both terraces. No appliances or utensils were lacking. The rooms were clean, well appointed and perfectly adequate for our needs. Paquito and Natalia looked after us very well, including showing us where to shop. Olvera made an excellent base of operations for day trips in any direction, including Seville, Ronda, etc. Despite our lack of Andalucian Spanish, we found the townspeople to be friendly and helpful. Altogether, a most enjoyable stay in a wonderful hillside town.

situation parfaite dans ce joli village pour rayonner entre Séville , Cordoue et les splendides villages blancs.

maison de caractère, propre et confortable avec une situation exceptionnelle au plus haut du village. tranquillité totale. vue imprenable depuis les terrasses.

dépaysement total pour nous .

Olvera is an authentic bustling small town of the unspoiled Inner Andalusia. With its spectacular hilltop setting, it forms part of the famous Andalusian Trail of Pueblos Blancos, the Whitewashed Villages.

Olvera boasts excellent infrastructure and is surrounded by numerous tourist destinations attracting visitors from around the world. La Via Verde, Zahara de la Sierra, Setenil, Grazalema, numerous natural sites, to mention just a few. The historical town of Ronda, the third main tourist attraction of Andalusia, is only 30 km away. The natural reserve Peñon de Zaframagón, an impressive rock outcrop with a colony of huge griffon vultures, is 14 km from the town center. UNESCO biosphere reserve, Sierra de Grazalema natural park, is also within an easy reach.
